Ugh, you are so right about the medication situation. If you just stop it can throw you into a tailspin. It’s happened, I’m sure, to many of us. You always have to keep up on the doctors you are dealing with. You are not their only patient and sometimes they don’t know how important a situation is. You are deal with everything very well! As a medical Imaging professional, i can suggest to always ask for a copy of results, testing, or imaging (mri cd) immediately after the exam. Glad you realized and acted on your feeling of needing change. You have to be your own advocate in healthcare. Go ahead and start a little cheat sheet of surgeries, medicine, dates, Etc. ❤❤❤ Love - light- and healing….i know my kitties always bring my emo health to a good place.
Hearing you talk about being dismissed around ADHD and being treated for depression /anxiety sounds exactly like me. Currently waiting for my ADHD and ASD assessments. Took me years to get the courage to speak to my GPs and get them to listen. Took a report from occupational health at work, recommending I be assessed. Have found 1 GP very dissmisive when it comes to mental health/neurodversity which really did not help me at all x

interesting to know that psychologists and psychiatrists are difficult in the us as well. it took me weeks to get my tests results here in brazil. there was a doctor I've gone who slammed the door to my face saying she couldn't help me 😮 hope the new meds help you, I'm taking the right dosage now and life finally is feeling better 🎉❤

as a person with multiple anxiety disorders, depression and ptsd, I feel you on the medications. I KNOW when I've missed mine, I can feel it. It sucks that they gave you the run around to the point where you were seeking emergency services, but I'm glad you got help in the end. Sometimes you just need a mum to go in and be angry. I know when I'm unwell, my mum (she's 64, I'm 40) will still bring down the WRATH on people until they do what is needed.
@@AnneElizabethNails XD Oh my mum is something else, she once took a hammer to my high school (many many years ago) and threatened my swim teacher with it because he kept failing me for not being able to swim during specific times a month. Like, who does that? But she is really great.
Well I think I have some catching up to do…worked the past 7 nights so I’m behind on all my fav nailtubers…it’s ok cuz now i can participate in my favorite past time- binge watching nail videos ❤ (I should say second-fav, the first being nail art) still loving the pink and purple hair on you! I vote purple and green next. Man I am so sorry you had to deal with all that nonsense with your doctors! I always hate hearing these kinds of stories but also love hearing them because it reminds me how much people rely on us in the medical field to be responsive and helpful. I’m an ER RN and I hear these stories all the time…people basically get passed from one office to the next and finally get so frustrated they end up in my ER. The police, clinics, counselors, etc basically “dump” people on the ER staff and we are kind of the end of the road….however, especially in my small rural town, we definitely don’t have resources like specialized psych (or any psych at all), and so many patients are having mental health crises, substance use disorders, SI, etc. and everyone involved feels so helpless….this really is a huge systems error when it comes to the American healthcare system. It’s sooooo frustrating and I’m so sorry you had to go through all that! ❤

Girl I’m sorry you’re going through all that! Doctors have a habit of not listening sometimes (or a lot of the time), def. Be persistent & just dont leave the office without getting the help you need. I hope you find a doctor that listens to you & is reliable! 💕💕💕

Oh yeah, and BTW.. I was the sameway with coffee & sugar, aswell as starting every recipe with salt+pepper! Ive figured out that the flavored creamers (powder or liquid) are enough sweetness for my coffee without adding extra sugar. And, Your oatmilk+pumkin spice, sounds even healthier than the pre-flavored creamers!! And with the salt, I had been on a cooking journey lol. And mastered some 🤌 recipes. But my husband recently got diagnosed with Gastritis and is pre-diabetic. So salt is a BIG NO-NO! I never used huge amounts of salt anyway (but he did, and would always add more to his plates.) But ive figured out how to use more herbs+spices (+how to combine them) to flavor our food, instead of always starting with salt. Pepper is not the prob., but can upset his stomach if things are super spicy. But I think ive cracked the code on flavor, marinade, and seasonings. I use all my spices 1st, then taste test. If it needs salt i will add, but also very little at a time combined with more of the other herbs/spices Ive already used. Sorry I know this was completely off topic. But it really still does feel like we are all just hanging in your room chatting away!!❤❤ and BTW, I love the new background too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a lot of experience with dismissive doctors too. It’s frustrating. I’m so sorry you went through that. ❤ The medical community seems to be under-educated on ADHD in women/girls. It presents very differently than it does in boys and that’s why most girls don’t get diagnosed until they’re grown. I’m glad you finally got what you needed! Tip for pills: get yourself a days of the week pill organizer. Even if that’s the only daily pill/med/vitamin/supplement you have, if you just fill it once a week, it’s easy to know for sure whether you’ve taken your meds for the day!

So I have AuDHD and I had the exact same issues especially being a female it typically gets brushed under the rug. Also, I USE THE SAME SHOP TOWELS 😂 finally someone else has the exact same idea as me lol I don't want to be paying a load more money for "professional" towels lol

I'm a relatively new subscriber and I've been meaning to comment for a while to tell you that I love your content. In part, what's drawn me to your channel specifically is how much I relate to how you act and think; it's a cliche but you remind me of myself at that age (I mean I'm still the same person, just 41 now lol) Anyway, I am absolutely shocked that you weren't already diagnosed ADHD because, respectfully, it is so obvious. Unfortunately I know that "high performing" folks struggle to get a diagnosis because our coping mechanisms are used as evidence that we don't have a problem. I was lucky to be diagnosed from a young age, but so many women suffer because doctors don't believe us when we describe our experiences. Anyway I just wanted to encourage you in finding doctors that take you seriously. As someone with the same flavor of neurospice, I see you!

24:24 …. I can totally understand your plight. I’m on anti-depressant, Adderall, and two different anti-convulsant medications. All of them f-ck around with my brain one way or another. My anti-convulsants are the absolute worst ever. But I also need them so I don’t have seizures. I just changed my Anti-depressant andhad to call again and ask the doc to up my dose because the new dose wasn’t strong enough. Which we’d talked about. He ramped me up from one and off from the other but now I had to find my new dose. So anyway…. It’s exhausting. So glad you have your mom there as an advocate. Anyway, keep your head up. It ebbs and flows. And if you can get a script for an extended-release stimulant try to do so. I told my nurse practitioner that I am asleep for 8 hours, but I need stimulants for the rest of the waking hours and scored 8 hour extended release two times a day. Some of us have zero dopamine 🤷♀️. Love ya, byeeeeeeee! 🫶

Hello, Love your videos! I check for your uploads all the time, but I have been rewatching old ones. I wanted to mention that if you have ADHD then caffeine does not effect you the same way it does to neuro typical people. So, that could be why you may not have noticed much change when drinking the energy drinks. If you have ADHD your brain tends to be stimulated and if you have a stimulant it actually balances out rather than having a "hyper" effect! Hope this helps.

I’ve been through many doctors for medications and treatments for migraines. Never stay with a doctor that doesn’t listen! If you’re not comfortable and getting the care, find a new doctor! It may take time, don’t quit your current doctor until you have found and been accepted as a new patient! Sorry you’re going through all this. Praying for you 🫶

Girly I completely understand the feeling of loving something so much but questioning if its worth it bc it also hurts so much!! My something is my pupper Violet! She is literally my soulmate in dog form! She is the 1st dog that literally is perfect in every way. For one example, i never even have to put a leash on her bc she wont leave my side and will walk beside me, and so much more.. But I cant live with her ANYMORE. My whole family has become attached to her aswell bc when i 1st got her i still lived at my parents, now im married and live with my husband and my baby Gypsy. Gypsy is a dog, female, and we adopted her from my step son bc he couldn't keep her in his small apartment. Anyway she is fully my baby and i love her soooooooo so much. Its just also that i miss my violet all the time. But i could never separate her from the rest of my family!! Especially my brother who struggles with schizophrenia and has really bonded with her. I see her all the time of course, but like I said i know that feeling of questioning if it was worth it. And I believe YES! YES, IT ABSOLUTELY WAS WORTH IT, FOR YOUR KITTIES AND MY DOG. YOU RESCUED THEM FROM A BAD LIFE AND LONELY SHELTER(NOT SAYING ITS A BAD PLACE OR ANYTHING) BUT I MEAN YOU HAVE GIVEN THEM A HAPPY LOVING LIFE AND FAMILY!! SO IT IS WORTH IT, WE HAVE TO STAY STRONG FOR THEM!!❤❤🐾 (SORRY I TYPED A FREAKIN NOVEL) 😂

i bought a double high Double bed so i can have a double bed in my room and a whole pace underneath for my desk etc Just need to climb to get to my bed but i couldnt do without it now it gives you a whole other platform level to work with

No, not the gems! Lol. I think that's one of my worst nail related anxieties having all of my charms spill everywhere being mixed together. Lol. And I completely understand where you're coming from. I have also been misdiagnosed for the last 3 years. They keep telling me that I have bipolar 2 and depression but I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 14 and I told my doctor that and she's like well it's been years so you'll have to go get reevaluated so I did and they still won't put me on the right medication. She keeps putting me on mood stabilizers and I'm like this does nothing for me. I still feel like s*** and honestly, I think a lot of the depression comes from me not being able to function the way that I need to. I can't get anything done bc my brain is all over the place and I'm an annoying perfectionist.. like if it's not done just so then I will completely abandon the situation or whatever I'm working on and that's not good. It's very stressful so I'm happy that you're getting the help that you need.
Omggg, you are not alone girl 🥺🫶💗💗💗💗 that's the exact way I've been feeling, I'm depressed because I can't function and do the things I need to the way I feel they should be done 😭 DONT GIVE UP!!!! Being misdiagnosed is literally horrible, especially when u have ADD or ADHD and getting the proper treatment is impossible without the proper diagnosis 🥺 I feel your struggle so hard! I recommend honestly that you try to find a different doctor, and then before you explain your symptoms you should research all the add and adhd symptoms and how they are misdiagnosed as other disorders (WHICH IS WAY TOO COMMON) that way you will know EXACTLY what to tell them so they can give you the help you really need. 💗💗💗💗💗
The makarrtt peel off base gel lasts WAY longer for me so I’ll use the jello jello when I want my nails to last for like 2 weeks (max 2.5) and then use the makarrtt for like 3-4wks! Gives the longevity but also easy take off!
@@AnneElizabethNails I would still recommend removing it with the one kill gel remover or a similar gel remover tho! If u prep your nails it will try to stay on there 😂
omg im having the same issue. i had my AuAdhd testing in 2020 when we still had masks ect. i think my psychologist closed down during covid because he never made my report and his office phone disconnected lmao. he only told me verbally i had AuAdhd and its been 4 years of fighting for the meds. its ridiculous. i feel like for women and adhd they have to rule out every dx first but if they wanted to dx us with bipolar or depression they wouldnt do that. they'd justt immediately prescribe heavy bipolar meds. adhd just scares professionals its so lame. im so glad you understand too!! i cant believe we're all dealng w like the same thing
i also had a meltdown about losing access to my meds and they tried to say i was exhibiting drug seeking behavior. like we just care about our future 😭

I'm so confused why health care, including mental health care, is so problematic. I didn't realize they were jerking you around like that... ridiculous! I gave up on trying to get preventative health care, myself, and went to a naturopath so we could slow down and discuss things. I am glad you are on the road to recovery, though. It's going to be a process, make sure you are setting the right boundaries for yourself and giving yourself grace. I used to push myself a lot and try to please everyone, but half the time I was making up the list of what I needed to do to please people, and actually did better when I started thinking more critically about what I was giving up to do something and what would serve me better to let go of. Also have I mentioned lately how beautiful your eyes are? I always stare at them because they are a beautiful amber brown like a jewel. ❤ BTW, I use a larger brush for my polygel as well. The ones that come with polygel are very small and don't do well with a patting motion, and also take forever. I can also drag with a firmer formulation of polygel, like that Makartt one. Not sure what the intent was with those. I enjoyed the story with Kevin, as well. He's such a dude. I like that he is there for you. Good on ya, Kevin! That ring you put on at the end was super cute! The purple stone is pretty.

You always have to keep up on the doctors you are dealing with. You are not their only patient and sometimes they don’t know how important a situation is. You are deal with everything very well! As a medical Imaging professional, i can suggest to always ask for a copy of results, testing, or imaging (mri cd) immediately after the exam. Glad you realized and acted on your feeling of needing change. You have to be your own advocate in healthcare. Go ahead and start a little cheat sheet of surgeries, medicine, dates,

Hearing you talk about being dismissed around ADHD and being treated for depression /anxiety sounds exactly like me. Currently waiting for my ADHD and ASD assessments. Took me years to get the courage to speak to my GPs and get them to listen. Took a report from occupational health at work, recommending I be assessed. Have found 1 GP very dissmisive when it comes to mental health/neurodversity which really did not help me at all x

interesting to know that psychologists and psychiatrists are difficult in the us as well. it took me weeks to get my tests results here in brazil. there was a doctor I've gone who slammed the door to my face saying she couldn't help me 😮 hope the new meds help you, I'm taking the right dosage now and life finally is feeling better 🎉❤

as a person with multiple anxiety disorders, depression and ptsd, I feel you on the medications. I KNOW when I've missed mine, I can feel it. It sucks that they gave you the run around to the point where you were seeking emergency services, but I'm glad you got help in the end. Sometimes you just need a mum to go in and be angry. I know when I'm unwell, my mum (she's 64, I'm 40) will still bring down the WRATH on people until they do what is needed.

Well I think I have some catching up to do…worked the past 7 nights so I’m behind on all my fav nailtubers…it’s ok cuz now i can participate in my favorite past time- binge watching nail videos ❤ (I should say second-fav, the first being nail art) still loving the pink and purple hair on you! I vote purple and green next. Man I am so sorry you had to deal with all that nonsense with your doctors! I always hate hearing these kinds of stories but also love hearing them because it reminds me how much people rely on us in the medical field to be responsive and helpful. I’m an ER RN and I hear these stories all the time…people basically get passed from one office to the next and finally get so frustrated they end up in my ER. The police, clinics, counselors, etc basically “dump” people on the ER staff and we are kind of the end of the road….however, especially in my small rural town, we definitely don’t have resources like specialized psych (or any psych at all), and so many patients are having mental health crises, substance use disorders, SI, etc. and everyone involved feels so helpless….this really is a huge systems error when it comes to the American healthcare system. It’s sooooo frustrating and I’m so sorry you had to go through all that! ❤

Oh yeah, and BTW.. I was the sameway with coffee & sugar, aswell as starting every recipe with salt+pepper! Ive figured out that the flavored creamers (powder or liquid) are enough sweetness for my coffee without adding extra sugar. And, Your oatmilk+pumkin spice, sounds even healthier than the pre-flavored creamers!! And with the salt, I had been on a cooking journey lol. And mastered some 🤌 recipes. But my husband recently got diagnosed with Gastritis and is pre-diabetic. So salt is a BIG NO-NO! I never used huge amounts of salt anyway (but he did, and would always add more to his plates.) But ive figured out how to use more herbs+spices (+how to combine them) to flavor our food, instead of always starting with salt. Pepper is not the prob., but can upset his stomach if things are super spicy. But I think ive cracked the code on flavor, marinade, and seasonings. I use all my spices 1st, then taste test. If it needs salt i will add, but also very little at a time combined with more of the other herbs/spices Ive already used. Sorry I know this was completely off topic. But it really still does feel like we are all just hanging in your room chatting away!!❤❤ and BTW, I love the new background too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The medical community seems to be under-educated on ADHD in women/girls. It presents very differently than it does in boys and that’s why most girls don’t get diagnosed until they’re grown.
I’m glad you finally got what you needed!
Tip for pills: get yourself a days of the week pill organizer. Even if that’s the only daily pill/med/vitamin/supplement you have, if you just fill it once a week, it’s easy to know for sure whether you’ve taken your meds for the day!

In part, what's drawn me to your channel specifically is how much I relate to how you act and think; it's a cliche but you remind me of myself at that age (I mean I'm still the same person, just 41 now lol)
Anyway, I am absolutely shocked that you weren't already diagnosed ADHD because, respectfully, it is so obvious. Unfortunately I know that "high performing" folks struggle to get a diagnosis because our coping mechanisms are used as evidence that we don't have a problem. I was lucky to be diagnosed from a young age, but so many women suffer because doctors don't believe us when we describe our experiences.
Anyway I just wanted to encourage you in finding doctors that take you seriously. As someone with the same flavor of neurospice, I see you!

24:24 …. I can totally understand your plight. I’m on anti-depressant, Adderall, and two different anti-convulsant medications. All of them f-ck around with my brain one way or another. My anti-convulsants are the absolute worst ever. But I also need them so I don’t have seizures.
I just changed my Anti-depressant andhad to call again and ask the doc to up my dose because the new dose wasn’t strong enough. Which we’d talked about. Anyway, keep your head up. It ebbs and flows. And if you can get a script for an extended-release stimulant try to do so. I told my nurse practitioner that I am asleep for 8 hours, but I need stimulants for the rest of the waking hours and scored 8 hour extended release two times a day. Some of us have zero dopamine 🤷♀️.

Hello, Love your videos! I check for your uploads all the time, but I have been rewatching old ones. I wanted to mention that if you have ADHD then caffeine does not effect you the same way it does to neuro typical people. So, that could be why you may not have noticed much change when drinking the energy drinks. If you have ADHD your brain tends to be stimulated and if you have a stimulant it actually balances out rather than having a "hyper" effect! Hope this helps.

I’ve been through many doctors for medications and treatments for migraines. Never stay with a doctor that doesn’t listen! If you’re not comfortable and getting the care, find a new doctor! It may take time, don’t quit your current doctor until you have found and been accepted as a new patient! Sorry you’re going through all this. Praying for you 🫶

Girly I completely understand the feeling of loving something so much but questioning if its worth it bc it also hurts so much!! My something is my pupper Violet! She is literally my soulmate in dog form! She is the 1st dog that literally is perfect in every way. For one example, i never even have to put a leash on her bc she wont leave my side and will walk beside me, and so much more.. But I cant live with her ANYMORE. My whole family has become attached to her aswell bc when i 1st got her i still lived at my parents, now im married and live with my husband and my baby Gypsy. Gypsy is a dog, female, and we adopted her from my step son bc he couldn't keep her in his small apartment. Anyway she is fully my baby and i love her soooooooo so much. Its just also that i miss my violet all the time. But i could never separate her from the rest of my family!! Especially my brother who struggles with schizophrenia and has really bonded with her. I see her all the time of course, but like I said i know that feeling of questioning if it was worth it. And I believe YES! YES, IT ABSOLUTELY WAS WORTH IT, FOR YOUR KITTIES AND MY DOG. YOU RESCUED THEM FROM A BAD LIFE AND LONELY SHELTER(NOT SAYING ITS A BAD PLACE OR ANYTHING) BUT I MEAN YOU HAVE GIVEN THEM A HAPPY LOVING LIFE AND FAMILY!! No, not the gems! Lol. I think that's one of my worst nail related anxieties having all of my charms spill everywhere being mixed together. Lol. And I completely understand where you're coming from. I have also been misdiagnosed for the last 3 years. They keep telling me that I have bipolar 2 and depression but I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 14 and I told my doctor that and she's like well it's been years so you'll have to go get reevaluated so I did and they still won't put me on the right medication. She keeps putting me on mood stabilizers and I'm like this does nothing for me. I still feel like s*** and honestly, I think a lot of the depression comes from me not being able to function the way that I need to. I can't get anything done bc my brain is all over the place and I'm an annoying perfectionist.. like if it's not done just so then I will completely abandon the situation or whatever I'm working on and that's not good. It's very stressful so I'm happy that you're getting the help that you need.

Being misdiagnosed is literally horrible, especially when u have ADD or ADHD and getting the proper treatment is impossible without the proper diagnosis 🥺 I feel your struggle so hard! I recommend honestly that you try to find a different doctor, and then before you explain your symptoms you should research all the add and adhd symptoms and how they are misdiagnosed as other disorders (WHICH IS WAY TOO COMMON) that way you will know EXACTLY what to tell them so they can give you the help you really need. 💗💗💗💗💗

The makarrtt peel off base gel lasts WAY longer for me so I’ll use the jello jello when I want my nails to last for like 2 weeks (max 2.5) and then use the makarrtt for like 3-4wks! Gives the longevity but also easy take off!

omg im having the same issue. i had my AuAdhd testing in 2020 when we still had masks ect. i think my psychologist closed down during covid because he never made my report and his office phone disconnected lmao. he only told me verbally i had AuAdhd and its been 4 years of fighting for the meds. its ridiculous. i feel like for women and adhd they have to rule out every dx first but if they wanted to dx us with bipolar or depression they wouldnt do that. they'd justt immediately prescribe heavy bipolar meds. adhd just scares professionals its so lame. im so glad you understand too!! i cant believe we're all dealng w like the same thing
i also had a meltdown about losing access to my meds and they tried to say i was exhibiting drug seeking behavior. like we just care about our future 😭

I'm so confused why health care, including mental health care, is so problematic. I didn't realize they were jerking you around like that... ridiculous! I gave up on trying to get preventative health care, myself, and went to a naturopath so we could slow down and discuss things. I am glad you are on the road to recovery, though. It's going to be a process, make sure you are setting the right boundaries for yourself and giving yourself grace. I used to push myself a lot and try to please everyone, but half the time I was making up the list of what I needed to do to please people, and actually did better when I started thinking more critically about what I was giving up to do something and what would serve me better to let go of. Also have I mentioned lately how beautiful your eyes are? I always stare at them because they are a beautiful amber brown like a jewel. ❤ BTW, I use a larger brush for my polygel as well. The ones that come with polygel are very small and don't do well with a patting motion, and also take forever. I can also drag with a firmer formulation of polygel, like that Makartt one. Not sure what the intent was with those. I enjoyed the story with Kevin, as well. He's such a dude. I like that he is there for you. Good on ya, Kevin! That ring you put on at the end was super cute! The purple stone is pretty.
