Grate vid. Looking forward to tomorrow I’ll be doing my first big quotation for a drive patio roof house and garage and a sealing. I’m a bit nervous but I’m confident it will be fine. I’m just going to approach it as it was 2/3 different jobs. I may look at the soft wash course in the future. But looking forward to starting my new business.
Hi Dave, What brush head and jets are you using there please? Also what size microbore hose are you using up/along the pole to the brush head? Many thanks. Mike.
Hi Mike I’m using a stiff 35cm Ultimate brush from Gardiner with 4 50°fan jets and I’m using that with 5mm flexi 5 pole hose from Streamline gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/ultimate-35cm-brush-stiff.html
There's more moss left on there prior to bio than I expected. I'm still new to roof cleaning and starting to wonder if perhaps I've been a bit too OCD on mine? 🤔
Its hard to give an exact price for a job as there are so many factors to take into account such as access, the amount of moss, the type of moss, Where you are situated in the country, height of thee roof, size of roof etc but as a very rough guide you are looking at starting at around £10 sq/m
Brilliant as ever Dave, Can i ask what your charging per sq Feet ? I'm not sure as to the standard price people are doing this for,I know if I remember a standard up and over with a biocide treatment at 70sq feet Sid said about £700 what your take pal?
Little tip for you mate, use hypo it restores the colour of the roof straight away you don’t have to wait months or even years to see the end result the customer see’s the result instantly,as long as you rinse any lead off with water so it doesn’t discolour it’s fine to use ,
I have been on the course. You can use hyp to clean it but that's all your doing is cleaning it. Biocide treatment will clean it and treat the roof at the same time.
Satisfying to watch and a good result 👍🏼🙌🏼

Great work Dave 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Ryan👍
Another great video mate. Loving the high level camera angle, was it jam a pole in the 50mm scaf tube
Top of a 22’ phantom pole taped to the scaffold

Hi Dave.. Do you just hire the tower and they bring it and assemble it for you?
I hired it and assembled it myself
There's more moss left on there prior to bio than I expected. I'm still new to roof cleaning and starting to wonder if perhaps I've been a bit too OCD on mine? 🤔
Mate i'm new to it so you might be right. 👍
@@squeakycleandave1 Maybe, although more likely I'm a bit too OCD tbh 🤪😆 So I'd keep doing what you're doing mate 👍😄
Hi Dave , what is your opinion on pressure washing the roof with low pressure ( to not break the tiles)? is not it easier and quicker?
Personally I haven’t tried it as I prefer to scrape but I would imagine it would be depending on the job. The clean up after would be harder though
Is this better than a light jetwash... Or just another option
I would never jet wash as there is more chance of damage. Maybe use steam at low pressure.
It the method that I most prefer to use
How much would something like this cost similar size roof?

It’s between £7-£12 sq/meter not foot 👍
@@squeakycleandave1 Thanks Dave sorry my mistake lol, would that be inclusive of the biocide treatment ?
@@darrenturner1119 yes mate

Great job dave much better working off a tower I will be using towers in future
It’s so much easier and safer. It’s definitely worth checking different places. I paid £55 plus vat for the week but I was quoted £100
@@squeakycleandave1 was that a local firm to you or one of these HSS hire shops
@@completeexteriorcleaningse750 I got it from Tippers builders merchants.
@@squeakycleandave1 cheers dave
What's the price of the course. I want to go on it, but there is no price on their website.
It’s £550 for the 2 days including lunch
@@squeakycleandave1 cheers Dave
Nice one Dave, tower makes a big difference doesn’t it.
And another pair of hands 🙌 even better.
👍🏻
The tower makes a massive difference but for that size tower you really need the help
