As a rollercoaster enthousiast, I've taken my kids to theme parks across Europe. But being from Belgium, and a Walibi pass holder, we feel so lucky to have this untamed beast in our backyard 😃
When Viper bites the Dust at Magic Mountain THIS is what I've been saying could be and SHOULD be it's replacement. A goooooood mega or even hyper intamin. That giga is never coming so this is definitely something that's top tier that should go to that park especially being a replacement for historic viper
First off magic mountain hasn’t worked with intamin in over 10 years and six flags doesn’t care enough about there parks to put this much of a quality coaster
@@trueformoblivion8557 The six flags hate is strong with this one lol. I think it depends on the park. Magic Mountain is one of their favorites so it could work there. Plus Konda was relatively cheap so it could be within the budget. We will most likely see an S&S.
Something I truly love about Kondaa is how even in the morning, it runs incredibly well. It definitely warms up, but you don't need to wait with riding it. It's great right off the bat. I also love how it really is fantastic in every seat. Apart from the on drop, I really don't care where I sit
Nice review, pretty much agree with everything! As a platinum passholder the only thing I do is lapping this beast. I had a day were I did 40 rides before 2PM. You just cant get enough of this monster. With RTH and Kondaa Belgium has some crazy coaster lineup nowadays and I cant wait for what the future holds.
Don't forget Fury at Bobbejaanland, a crazy Gerstlauer Infinty coaster. Built 1-2 years before Konda and RTH. On Fury you can choose by pressing a button if the train goes backwards or forwards. Belgium is a bit on a roll the last couple off years. But then again, it needed to. All other coaster are a bit average in today's standards. I can't believe we waited since 2018. I remember the first time I saw the POV, I was blown away, it seriously looked like one of the best coasters in the world, looking at it now, it still looks so freaking good. The outer bank and wabe turn and airtime hills and a non inverted cobra roll? That's mind blowing. I'm glad Intamin is incorporeating these new elements in their rides.
My favorite coaster in Europe. While I can concede that Ride to Happiness is a “better” ride, kondaa just feels like it was designed for my tastes personally. It really didn’t disappoint at all
@@CanobieCoaster Pantheon runs slower than design speed - when they rode it at full speed, Busch executives claimed it was too intense and got Intamin to reduce the final launch speed. If it was running at full speed, Pantheon’s outer banked hill would definitely be comparable to Kondaa’s.

Kondaa is very high on my bucket list coasters, I mean I literally named my channel after the coaster. And if ever I actually manage to make it to Belgium, I will spend a full day in the park just to ride Kondaa.
I love how Intamin's design language has evolved over the past decades and has improved upon its earlier designs (such as Geforce's). Although Intamin's trains are far superior, I still tend to prefer RCM's top tier rides such as Untamed and Steel Vengeance, as I feel Kondaa holds back just a little and isn't as aggressive. Still an amazing ride, and solidly sits underneath Untamed and Ride to happines as the best ride in the Benelux for sure.
I think The front row is a better ride experience than the back hanging on the hill is a amazing feeling and seeing what is infront of you is beautiful
Its insane how belgiums overall lineup was kind of average before these two, and then within the last year they just got two of the best coasters in the world.
I don't think the wall stall is the take on the wave turn because it is designed to suspend you weightlessly to the side for a moment not eject you like an roc wave turn they are similar but not to be compared in my opinion
I have yet to ride anything that provides so much sustained ejector airtime, which is 100% my favourite thing on rollercoasters. It's a phenomenal ride.
Huh, I'm surprised at how much you loved Kondaa. I got to ride it on my last amusement park trip, last year, and I got to marathon it for about 20 rides (the single rider queue was very kind to me), including a few laps in the front row and in the last row, and while I certainly enjoyed it, it didn't leave that much of an impression on me. I don't think it cracked my top 10, despite my coaster experiences being limited to a little more than half of Europe's best amusement parks. As for Intamin Megacoasters specifically, I love Hyperion much much more, somewhere in my top 5, if I recall correctly. I also vastly prefer Taron (though not a mega-coaster, it's the only other major Intamin coaster I've had the pleasure of riding).
I have just recently done all intamin mega coasters in europe here is where each of them rank 1. Expedition Geforce - Just a a strong airtime machine with a wicked first drop and mighty airtime hills and overbanks as well as one of my favorite elements the Intamin flick. (Please note I rode it in 39 degree weather so it may of been running extra good). 2. Hyperion - A great sustained ejector airtime machine with some low to the ground elements which provide a forceful experience plus it is 252.6ft tall so gains a lot of speed throughout its layout 3. Kondaa - Just pure airtime throughout the ride with some good laterals and forces as well the very unique non-inverted cobra roll which when going through it I was out of my seat the entire time. 4. Goliath - A good intamin mega coaster with some great airtime moments and intense helix's How do you rank the European Intamin mega coasters

Phenomenal ride, it's my overall fourth because I am not that great of a fan of airtime-only rides. I rode it in 2021 in May so maybe it wasn't at its full potential.
Kondaa is the king of the megacoasters in Europe, as far as I'm concerned. Admittedly, it is at its best when it's being an Intamin rather than an RMC. It's the best ride at any Walibi park. There, I said it. Untamed can bite me. That said, I do think the Exotic World theming is all a bit suspect. It's this uncomfortable mishmash of African and vaguely Indo-Pacific tropes, all coded a bit mysterious and tribal and othered, like a land forgotten by time. I wish 21st century theme park design would leave those colonial tropes behind. A lot has been said about Walibi Holland's inscrutable attempts at theming, but at least it isn't... that.
@@CanobieCoaster I don't find it so easily brushed off. If the theme itself is ill-advised, no amount of quality of detail will take that uneasiness away.
