I think the Regen on Giant is while he is alive and that he does the damage when he dies. I think that if you check their regens from early game until late game you will se them more tanky and how their life regens faster.

After playing several great games with Dark Iron, I've found tower upgrades to be the way to go (because of the low stat boots of normal upgrades). Lava fuel and devoted fanatics are the top tier tower upgrades to rush, in EVERY game. Lava fuel will make your offense and defense way better, by giving your tier 2 siege units and towers AoE DoT (Devoted fanatics speaks for itself why it's so strong). Sharp armor when having giants is also absolutely fantastic, and hands down top tier. Your giants will EAT lower tier meele units for breakfast, simply by tanking their dmg. Besides them, Magma core and volcano rounds are superb as well, but you did research, so you seem to be aware of that.
That said, I recently found your channel, and really enjoying it so far. I love that you play so many strategy maps. Azeroth Wars LR used to be one my favourite maps, and played it all the time. Keep up the good work brother.

The life regeneration, burn on death upgrade (molten core) gives mechanical units regeneration, because they don’t regenerate naturally. It doesn’t spawn a cloud of healing on death
