Seeing your videos really gives me hope. There are so many posts online about how doctors never have free time. I've been starting to question the career as a whole and getting down about it, thinking maybe it's not for me. I can't imagine doing anything else, though. Your videos remind me that while being a doctor is crazy, you still have time for family and a vacation once in awhile. It's so comforting seeing a happy female physician. I also love the little tidbits of information you give! Like that the treatment you used was a diuretic, and that book you started reading turned out to be a good one. Thank you!!!

Hi Siobhan! I'm an aspiring physician and love watching your videos. You should go to St Lucia, in the Caribbean. I grew up there and although the island is pretty small there is so much to see and do. There are lots of all-inclusive options to choose from. Apart from sight-seeing and relaxing on the beach, you can hike up the famous Pitons, enjoy a soothing mud bath at the world's only drive-in volcano or the mineral baths. Looking forward to more videos from you in the new year!!
I'm fangirling so hard! I found your videos because I'm waiting to hear back from med school and wanted to get some more information on what it was like and then I found out that you're from Winnipeg too!!! Crazy coincidence that probably the most helpful youtuber for med students is also from my city!

The weather definitely isn't hot here (except on rare days during the year haha!) but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking Scotland is an awesome pick - the scenery is so beautiful & you get the most amazing views hiking! Hi, Pre Medical undergrad student here! I know this is a personal topic but I was wondering if you could talk a bit about pay. Like, when do you start getting paid. Is it in school, or right after med school? Does it go up every year until you reach a certain point? Do you get paid differently if you want to specialize or not? Do you get paid hourly? I have always been really curious what to expect when I get there and plan for! Thank you!!
I’m going to Belize in February! My grandmother lives there now so I’m really excited to finally see where she’s been. We’re going to go hiking in the jungle, see Mayan ruins, meet local families, and hang out at the beach of course. Will be so nice to get out of the cold for a week. :)

Come to St. Maarten. Though the country just endured a terrible hurricane it's bouncing back quickly and it's beautiful still. It's hilly so nice for hiking and biking and the island has 37 beaches between the French and Dutch sides. From St. Maarten you can island hop to other neighboring islands like Saba, Anguilla, and St.Barths. I highly recommend visiting Saba to do the breathtaking hike there. They call it the unspoiled Queen because it's so clean and not overdeveloped. It is volcanic so it has lush greenery.
Maui is amazing in February! And the hiking is beautiful:)

Come to Australia! Australia is so different and there's always so much to do. I'm from Melbourne which will usually be less humid but it's full of art and places to go and things to see! Also I highly recommend doing a Central Australia trip to see the landscape and learn about aboriginal culture. Happy Holidays!

I would suggest Shenandoah National Park in Virginia (in the US) during the fall when the leaves are changing. Great hikes, and great views!

Majestic colonial resorts in Punta Cana are superb. Very relaxing.
My maternal grandmother was from east of the city (Anola/Dugald area) so I've been there MANY times!! Went to the area at least once a year from about 1981 until moving from North Dakota to Illinois. Still have family there (of course and also in BC) that am in contact with!
In my opinion, i think the best place for your vacation cairo Egypt, it is Amazing

California has tons of nice hiking spots! Especially the Berkeley/SF area. If you're looking for a superrr relaxing vacation Kauai, Hawaii is gorgeous, green, full of beaches, and lots of greenery for hikes :)

Happy new year! Honestly, I've been on youtube for the longest time but I never liked a channel to the point where I actually bothered leaving a nice comment and liking, keep up the great content. I've only found your channel and it has become my favorite. Hoping to follow your path someday into medschool - but a British pathway instead, hahaha. People often argue that doctors don't have time to do their hobbies, how far do you agree with this statement?
San Diego is always sunny and there's many beaches to visit :)
I'm a first year nurse and this year I've worked every single holiday just so I could get a week off for Christmas to go home to my parents. Holidays are fun, you'll get some odd ER patients during thanksgiving and 4th of July. Lots and lots of bad burns.

Maui and Cabo are both fabulous in February. I don't know if there are any all-inclusive resorts in Maui, but there are definitely some in Cabo.

If your willing to go out of country, your in Canada right? Colorado and Arizona amazing for hiking and really nice views. Arizona is warm but Colorado is still really cold in February. Both are really really beautiful and have great places to hike!!

I love your channel! I’m in Saskatchewan and currently in grade 11. I’m an aspiring surgeon and watching your videos gives me such an amazing insight to what it’s like! My plan is to do a bachelor degree of Kinesiology and education, and then from there apply to med school:) The only thing that discourages me is that Saskatchewan is so small!
