Is this the same or better than using the Sillywinks you used for sidewalks in the road video you did?

I like both methods so it depends on the project. The matte board is used more for structures while the other stuff is great for roadways.

I am refurbishing a 1:12 scale dollhouse that was given to me. I am decorating it industrial style inside and out. The exterior I thought of doing concrete look with wood. Maybe concrete horizontal lines wood going vertical. I want texture to the concrete but not bulky. Should I use paper like you did in this video or do you have any other suggestions.

I heard from a friend that if you peel the backing off a piece of foam core it gives the appearance of concrete. Saw a picture of the technique today. Very realistic. I plan to do a how to on it so watch for that video.

Looks fantastic. So obvious to use matte board after this video. Always thought styrene or poured plaster were the only options. Now I need to reconsider my sidewalks. Matte board is so much easier to work with. Great job! Two questions, do you use it a lot for this? If so does it ever warp on you?

Depends on the project that I am doing. Any type of paper product will warp when you add moisture so I do it lightly. I do have warping from time to time but not that much.

@@NewHavenRails thanks for the reply. I think I will keep what I have but try it out in the future for some smaller sections. Your results as always are fantastic. Thanks again

Walthers or your local hobby shop should carry them.
