You mentioned the winter of 2009, right before the Whistler Olympics. I was a working making a drop-off drive from Van to Dawson Creek, BC but, that particular winter, December - February, was the worst blizzard BC had ever seen since 1850. The snow was coming in sideways in solid sheets with 10 ft visibility. The first storm lasted a week and only snow plows were able to get around. It was 30 hours round trip, Dawson Creek was -32C (poor Mennonite horses), we got hit by an avalanche near Chetwynd once but, the scariest part was the goddamn oil and lumber truckers doing 80 on 2 lane highways, getting right on your ass and pushing you to go faster than you can see ahead. The most important thing he said in this whole thing is "at the time." The mail is still your best option, but much more difficult now. All these methods are more difficult now. They are still in use. But a lot more risky.
@@josephsmith3908 easy, yes. Risk free? Not nearly as risk free as 15 years ago. Depends on your threshold of risk also. Losing a package is part of the game. Just like your customer becoming desperate for whatever reason and sticking a pistol up your nose or getting t boned by a drink driver with 70 kilos of grass in your trunk and waking up handcuffed to a hospital bed with two broken legs and a rib perforated your lung. Shit happens. Snitches are everywhere, also. And then you have a situation like where I live. In Mississippi. In 2010, had you gotten pulled over and got caught with a half of a joint in your ashtray, and a Tennessee tag on your car, these people would push the issue and you could serve years in prison. I cannot tell you how many people I know from my time in the penitentiary that were there for what I feel like would not even registered a second glance in the Pacific Northwest. Also, I speak from experience. Which makes it all subjective. All I can really do is relate what I know, what I've seen, you get the idea. In 2004 I was at my friend's house and he got a kilogram of marijuana through FedEx. Came in the mail. You would never have known what was in that package. You know professionally sealed and everything it was was done right. But on the way home that night he stopped and got his mail out of the mailbox and and of course you know there was the there was the package, and 5:00 in the morning before the sun was coming up the local Metro narcotics unit kicked down the door. On the contrary here just around the beginning of covid I had a friend that was regularly receiving the kind of packages that that this gentleman was talking about sending through FedEx and so on and so forth. Whether it be marijuana, THC cartridges, a 12 lb bag of pure MDMA, kilograms of amphetamines, suitcases full of xanaxes. And he wasn't even the least bit worried about it you know he had the cops following him around everywhere he went and staking out his house and all that stuff and it just you know didn't really concern him. He felt safe and confident in the way him and his associates were doing their business. And it continued right on until he overdosed in a hotel room and died. I just feel like it's a considerably riskier proposition these days taking into account all the technology and money that law enforcement has to bring to bear on the situation then it was 10-15 years ago.
@@philbert006 nothing is risk free but on the other side sending it is as close to risk free as it gets as long as u take certain precautions I was a mid to high level trafficker I just came home after doing 12yrs recently I was caught because my connection in Mexico got caught and the swept a fuck ton of us so I understand what your saying but in fact it's never been easier if u have a connection u can sell on the dark net and never have to interact w your customers at all and just ship through mail as long as you take no international customers and take a few precautions your good and bc of crypto ur money has never been safer just saying im super familiar
Right. I feel like what you're saying is generally the same as what I'm saying. As you outline, the key is to insulate yourself from illegal activity. The more layers, the better. Of course, he basically says the same thing. But if you're building business, and aren't in a position to insulate yourself, which takes significant money, and forced to be right in the middle, it's a lot riskier these days. So let me kind of clarify what I'm saying. I have my share of experience in this field and I've seen various things. These are all facts. I can relate the facts as as I see them, which I did. Then at the end, just shared my judgment, my opinion, as it's been influenced by the facts of my situation. So in all reality, you really just can't make a blanket statement about this whole thing and not have flexibility in your mind to consider others situations and point of views., When you sell drugs, every time you walk out the door you're taking a federal chance. That's why you get paid the big bucks. I guess it's all on the individual as to what they consider to be risky or not. My opinion is as follows: it's not worth it. Others may have a different opinion and I'm okay with that. If I can't hear their stories and opinions without getting upset and cataloging that is something to consider when I make my decisions, well then I'm already screwed. 👍
@@josephsmith3908 nah bro don’t ship if your a bull plug the cops already know about you there just staking up charges that’s what they do then they lock you in as long as they can so you don’t sell again

It's just one of those things they don't talk ab O He did all in college that did this. But even though we were best friends he obviously couldn't give me exact dails like this. This was huge business all the way until 2010. Now with weed being legal everywhere, I wouldn't imagine this model isn't profitable anymore. It's really cool how they can talk about not now. Really breakdown how it went. This is soooo interesting!
Actually now with all the legalization the black market is popping off because people want good weed for good prices and with dispensary’s your getting decent weed but your taxed out the ass and with the black market you can buy pounds
Good story . I was with a friend of mine camping with his family in there property on the way to shelter cove. We made a left to this small little run down town these were lots people bought mostly for a hunting camp. Well they don't need police there they take care of anything and everything on there own. Well we had 3 growers around us 1 was stealing or water. The other one had iron gates at the bottom of this steep hill that only a good lifted 4×4 could make it up. The other guy we ran into while riding our dirt bikes met us on the family property as we were getting to close to his property he was on a dirt bike and packing. When we gave him the last name of the property we were on we were golden. So if your out there in the woods you better known someone or you will be food for the forest and they won't find you.

I'm in Europe, so it's a little different. But essentially we all knew it was coming from Morocco, up in the Riff. So that's where we went. Turns out they were friendly and quite accommodating.
I asked the first guy smoking hash, and followed the trail. When word got around I had money and was looking to buy, they put themselves in front of me.
Same would apply in Cali I'm sure. Go to where the growers are known to be, follow the smell of weed and tell em you are buying.

I have to agree.
It's all about what's legal. specific ways to ship it so they legally cannot open it, they must wait for you to sign and recieve the package and open it to raid you and charge you

This guy is teaching us how to be a legend
Man, that was fun though.

Id bring a vaccum sealer with my alcohol gloves etc, and use charcoal lined bags just to get to a safe house then totally repack for transport. That was a whole 'nother process.

Tbh with you I know a postal worker who was making 80 grand a year. I wouldn’t say something like they got to retire off it
The most important thing he said in this whole thing is "at the time." The mail is still your best option, but much more difficult now. All these methods are more difficult now. They are still in use. But a lot more risky.
Not really u can mail shit relatively easy and risk free esp in country

If they x-ray a package that has something wrapped up in old film inside...that would be the most suspicious looking shit ever 🤣
Hey Johnny, I'm going through a federal pardon process for 2 counts of misuse of a communications device o aid in a conspiracy over 40 years ago. A conspiracy I might add that there was more than enough evidence to dismiss me from it but as the DEA told me..." the more the merrier." A cannabis conspiracy...descheduling is close at hand. I'm hopeful for the pardon and descheduling of people convicted of cannabis.

Well from my experience of running pot from one end of Michigan to the other end in the late 90s to early 2000s and down to Indiana. I ran pot all over and I never got pulled over I made sure every light worked I did the speed limit. I didn't smoke in the car. And I had one goal get the money home. Cops can take the cash if they want. So my rules was drive safely with a road worthy car and less stops as possible and no attention getting

What’s up, Johnny? In either this video, or one of your others, you mention the Philly guys might’ve been working a mobster named Scarpa. I believe an image of Scarpa even flashes for a second, as well. Thing is, it was most likely Scarfo, if they were from Philly. Scarpa was a Mobster based in Brooklyn, NY and, he was active well before any of your story took place. I really enjoy your videos. You’re definitely going to continue to grow this channel WITHOUT A DOUBT. All the best to you.
@Ben Smith I understand that. I was just saying that maybe there was a Scarfo family member around during Johnny’s time. I wasn’t aware of any Scarpa’s operating in Philly during the period Johnny mentions. That’s all.
@Ben Smith u are correct, sir. Have a good day.
That “if it’s 5 minutes late it’s been compromised!” Is an exaggeration. He’s right it gets there a specific day but the time is rarely that spot on. And you never go and retrieve a package if they call and say they need you to come pick it up. It’s best to have someone who works at whichever branch who’s a buddy on the inside.
