Great content as always thanks for sharing it I'm going to look into that bespoke thing.
"Live by, die by" is a thing, ya know.
I will most likely die by a large wave.
Blue fin Toro is my favorite as well.
Great vid!
Throw him Kadir a little money from the youtube views. 140,000 aint chump change and for him it will help his family during Ramadan..Do the right thing...rejeki🙏
Music is way too loud. Obnoxious level. Stopped watching.
I know I'm 7 days late, but you should make more diving videos. (Love your content btw)
Dude this is BY FAR your best video to date. Your editing, narating and story line has improved so much over the years. It's really cool to watch. Thanks for letting take a break from the world to enjoy this video. I love the content that youre putting out.
Thanks so much - really appreciate the support 🙏🤙👍
I totally agree
@@AquaticApes i watch 100s of fishing videos and this was by far the best one i’ve ever watched
I agree
We got you Aquatic Apes!
"After all these years of spearing fish to meet my demise by being speared by a fish". best qoute from you 🤣🤣🤣
That marlin looked awesome but terrifying
Right could you imagine getting darted by that thing.
@@TailEndCustoms I wanna ride it, imagine being able to control it like a horse, that would be an awesome weapon
If that marlin wanted a shishcabab…
@@Caeilanddogs I want a Marlin shishcabab
What Marlin? The one that didn’t get speared? Oh right the imaginary one. Zero proof. And your ok with it. 🤣
My favourite video of yours! The cinematography the music! The composition The editing The effort!! Really payed off :) thank you for doing this to entertain us whoo are bored at home and don't have the equipment to do this! Anyways thank you for sharing such a masterpiece! ❤
Lol the bots on this dude account are crazy. Bros gotta be embarrassed to have 2m but get barely any traction so he buys comments

As an angler, the fish that I've caught tastes the best. I hope it's the same for others who do sustainable hunting.
Always. Satisfaction to 100% and you always know the condition of the fish.
If everyone had to hunt their own meat and fish, that could be sustainable indeed. In continuously overfished seas & mass animal production, there's not such a thing as "sustainable hunting". You're not helping the situation.
@@brandenhummel4326 I totally get your view on that, however it's not nonsense at all. Yes, the issue is the fishing industry, not people who hunt fish only for themselves - however, with a sea that's overfished already, not a single catch on top of that can be sustainable. Therefore, not helping the situation as said!
@@moritzone506 no matter if you don't even catch one fish again it's not gonna slow up the probably even slightly
Its not sustainable if you are also killing marlins.
So, a giant marlin doesn't actually attack you and it doesn't steal your tuna and you don't spear it.
All that blood in the water, he's lucky some sharks didn't show up and go into a feeding frenzy
Thanks, saved me some time.
Video was amazing. Lotta douchey noises probably came out of your body surrounding that comment. Hope it helped relieve the pressure of your internal douche overload.
Calm down buddy.

Your videos make 20 minutes feel like 5, you’re so entertaining to watch
great story thank you
Well I mean you *did* skip through his whole sponsor.
I love your videos so much. Your semi flippant/annoyed attitude and humor are great couplers with the underwater scenes and dramatic music. Your editing has gotten so good!

duh duh der duh.... there, fixed your post
21:52 Right here. This right here.
This is the very moment, the absolute moment of genuine happiness that men strive for. Sharing a wonderful moment with your loved one, at a beautiful place, sharing a timeless moment, surrounded by beauty. A moment like this is something I would spend thousands if not millions on, just for a singular second like this. Just one.
To say that I'm envious of you is an understatement.
Watching this guy over the past couple months almost a year I’ve noticed he’s become a lot more tigger happy and not waiting patiently for the perfect shot.
Maybe that has something to do with why his content is so good
Not even close buddy
good for him
yeah kinda unethical.
I never did see the marlin “attack” him
A great vid and one that reinforces my grandpas favorite trope..."if you don't have the stomach to dispatch it, or it doesn't make you a little bit sad when you do, maybe you don't deserve to eat it." Thanks for your great stories and images, and expanding peoples exposure of the world we all share. Be safe down there.
Oh my, when you gutted that tuna, that is the most detail you have ever shown in a video, BRUTAL!!!! It sets something primal off within me!!!
I've watched all your videos! Multiple times... you have really polished up your game, faster dialogue- snappier transitions- more things I imagine that I missed aswell, well done! Loving it
Trip yang sangat luar biasa ... Dan tak akan pernah terlupakan
Mantap Kadir👍

I love the part where you threw the plastic pipe and said fish come racing towards it and the winner loses -- just hearing this means your narrating has much improved! Been watching your videos since 2020. Keep up the great work!
Wow, watching this is like taking a trip down memory lane. These were the same captains that took me out to the FADS last year when i was in Bali !
A day I will never forget and my first ever blue water spearfishing trip, can't wait to go back one day and smack a tuna 🤘
Hi mate. How can I connect with these people? I would love to head over and do this
Mate, you are living a KING's life. You are literally the definition of OG life!......Big love from miserable Australia!.
Amazing work guys, as a spearo, you perfectly sum up my conflicting feelings about killing such beautiful fish, and also the pain of losing big pelagics. Sad about the marlin but like you say, it’s his livelihood. Definitely hitting you up for Kadirs deets when I do a trip to Bali! Love your work guys 🤙🏼
If it's the other person's livelihood why do you have to go and spear fish It? There's no reason for you to
@@Username-wk7niwhat?
There are lots of fishing videos out there, but your choice of music earns a subscription from me. I also like the way you ask the kinds of questions I would be asking.
I will tell you a secret for next time when you go spear fishing, when you spear a mahi mahi and if you hit biggest one in that pack he is a leader and all other fishes from that pack will follow and at that time you need to leave big fish hooked and you spear others :P
The guy with the blue fins, he’s being very aggressive😂 1:41
I'm personally very cautios when waging the suffering of animals against enjoyment. As an angler myself, I think that's something we owe the fish we hold so dear.
That beeing said, I think your content does justify the suffering of the fish by the love for nature your videos share. If we all take care of our planet and oceans, there could be a thousabd more spearfisher like you and it wouldnt make a noticable dent in the populations.
So keep spreading that love for the nature and maybe you find even more ways to inform and enable people to save the oceans!
This video took me back to watching “no reservations” when I was a kid. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and I instantly subscribed. Keep doing what you’re doing and RIP Anthony Bourdain.
Patiently waiting for the next new vid 😊
First video i watch of u, find u thru yt shorts and this video is really amazing!
Man, I love food channels here on youtube and I watch a TON of them and let me tell you, your channel is INCREDIBLE. Video quality, narration, your whole vibe and the content itself, the message you're trying to send, very nice catch and nice stealing at the end :D My best wishes from Argentina!
Good spear fishing.
I love it.
Watching: Batangas City.
Philippines.
A country w/ no good gov't.
I love your country.
Just letting you know I watch you videos instead of national geographic documentaries. The pictures, the stories, narration and all that are incredibly unique and spot on. Thank you.
Yes, a marlin showed up. No the tuna was not lost. There was no video of a marlin being speared, just a story of a wounded marlin.
That Marlin gonna tell his grand kid about the alien battlefield
😂Dam...😂 the Tuna sees the Marlin coming and trying to hide beside you from it. 😮
It's definitely on my bucket list to come do some spear fishing with ya!! Keep up the GREAT work! Much respect and support from Yuma, AZ. 👍👍
Great video but can we talk about how endearing it is that the whole village pulls together to get things done AND how it's a given that an individual's bounty is shared with the village instead of hoarding it all for themself? I love that spirit.
You’re a fantastic storyteller. I just love your videos 💯
Terima kasih sudah explore laut Indonesia🇮🇩🙏
Hey Aquatic Apes I have a question! Is there a legal limit for how many fish you can spear depending on what species?
You can look online but great question!
There is in the us but idk about Indonesia
There is in new zealand, same as line fishing limits
Not really in indonesia 😅 there are certain species which are 100% illegal, like Napoleon wrasse. Having said that, I still try to be as selective as possible 👍
of course u have limit and use troll or anything with big machine to catch a fish is illegal.
You are an amazing documentary film maker! I can appreciate all the effort that went into this story. The fish is raw but the documentary is WELL DONE.Take it to the next level and sell something to Netflix or HBO!
What a far out Journey you took us on. I always sushi my first tuna when I go out deep sea fishing and share it with the boat to make believers of the best tasting tuna. Wasabi always in my deep sea tackle box.
This is amazing for me. Worlds colliding. I went to Bali in 2007, had a life changing trip and ended up meeting my wife there. We now live in the US and have kids and a busy modern life but our kids have 21 cousins in Singaraja, I now speak pretty decent bahasa and a bit of bahasa Bali juga and our lives are stretched between the two worlds. I also like fishing and am getting into free diving and by way of that found your videos, so imagine my suprise to see another group of people, suspended between the same two worlds..
The editing is amazing, the story telling narrative is artistic and raw but masterfully crafted, the human connection with your friends in Bali is also very touching for me to see as I've been there too, a lot.
Maybe on the next trip I'll keep my eye out for you or mas Kadir. My wife says he's from Madura, maybe his name or his accent or something.
Anyway keep making the videos man they're wonderful.
I loved this episode. It was great editing and storytelling. I watch a couple other spearfishing channels, but really only you and Wet Mammal every actually do spearfishing. Do you ever do any simple spearing, like a spear that has a rubber band attached? Sorry, I probably sound stupid because I don't know the actual name, but handspear is what I think they are called. Anyways, great job filming, editing, voice-over and the whole story. You have a gift besides the spearfishing thing and whatever else you got going on that landed you a gorgeous gf/wife, lol?(Sorry, new to channel) Awesome channel
i've never felt more jealous and happy for someone. Amazing video. Stay safe out there 🤟
As a spearfisher myself I must say a couple of things. First of all - very impressive catch and we'll made video!
Second - your bad shots seem to make you feel more sorry for yourself than the fish you wounded.
I always argue that spearfishing is the most "fair" and sustainable way to fish since you choose your dinner and only pull the trigger when you have a good shot.
Of course everyone can be unlucky as when your tip didn't release, but in my opinion this video is far too trigger happy.
I've understand that the culture in our countries are very different. In Norway, where I fish, the policy of spearfishing is super strict and respectful. In my opinion it shouldn't be any difference if you're hunting reindeer or big fish. How would that look like if reindeer ran away with bad shots in them all the time?
The thing that you decide, and are responsible for another living creatures life/death is something that every hunter should show the deepest of respect for. You mention something similar to that in the video, but show something different.
Just some thoughts ✌️🙏
Same thought, I spear fish on a regular basis and in the past, I have also speared a fish and it got away wounded and that made me feel terrible, in the sense that I know it'll die for no reason.
yes my thought excactly ! if u spear fish that huge marlin.. what are the chance for your to actually hold to him ? that is just bad judgement !
Hi ape
I'm a 17 year old Victorian spearfisher who has been doing reef hunting since I was about 13 in water up to 20m, due to this I've never had to deal with any large game fish, but as I get older I'm getting more curious about dealing with larger fish.
I can't seem to find any guides on the tricks of the trade when spearing large, difficult to manage fish, not even how to go about putting them to sleep, and so ask you to consider making a guide on everything to know to get started with large game, it would be much appreciated by young spearos like me who don't have a mentor to guide them.
thank you so much for your content
Why no videos for 5 months?
Broooo the way they smile ,i smile also . It was like I was diving with them 🥹🥰.
BIG LOVE FROM BUKIDNON, PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭
Stay safe brother , more fish to be speared 🐟. Godbless you both always 😇
So how did you get caught? A plastic tube
That was good storytelling at its finest! Amazing catch boys and I could only imagine how good that Ahi must've tasted.
Yo where are the videos at?
I hope you are still alive and doing well 🙏🙏
Same!!
Man, a day of your life is more exciting than my year.
Bro where are you I'm missing you a lot
I recently discovered your channel and absolutely love your videos. I lived aboard my 40-foot sailboat for 6 years, and one of those years was spent in southern Mexico and in the Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California). I had two spearguns on onboard but my go-to was a JBL Magnum - nothing like your beauty but a good gun. We were on a tight cruiser's budget, so all of our catch went on to the dinner plate I never shot anything bigger than 35 lbs., so I can't imagine hooking into a big tuna or a Marlin. I would occasionally see a shark, so I made sure that I would get my catch into the dinghy as soon as possible. If there was more than one shark, then I was out of the water. The locals told me that stingrays were great for eating, so if I couldn't get a wahoo, small tuna, or something better, I could always take a stingray. Great job on the filming and editing. Stay safe out there.
i speared a marlin with my dad and sold it😁
Your filming capabilities are 💯
Why did you stop uploading videos 😭
Can you show more of the cooking part of this lifestyle? I like the hunt but I think how you prepare it is my favourite part

Amazing video. Loved the style and narration. Keep up the great work.
After 30 minutes of looking for something to watch on Netflix I finally gave up and searched like another 10 min on youtube worth watching. Glad I landed here. Better than Netflix.
Sick catch! Makes me want to pick up a new hobby.
Great music and narration, great video man. Hitting the pool this week to get those breath holds up, totally inspired

Hey guys if anyone sees this comment I just want to express as someone who is trying to get really good at video editing… these guys know how to do it right! I like the music placement and much more
Best narration for a UA-cam video ever. I commented liked and subscribed. Great video.
I hope someday u travel with your buddy and go spearfishing at Raja Ampat, there are lots of fish varieties there.
Big hugs from Manokwari-West Papua. 🙂
U need special permission to do that
@@widodoakrom3938 U live in Raja Ampat or West Papua ? Let me know and lets have a good talk. If u know some local or goverment official on there, u must be allowed. I usually spent my holiday here in West Papua go spearfishing on saturday. I live and working here in Manokwari for 7 years, not too far from Raja Ampat. How is this the first time this channel ever came on my phone???? I watch bass fishing all the time!! This is THE BEST FISHING CHANNEL EVER, and other subscriber for you. AMAZING!!!
Poetry in motion. Brilliant film making keeping the audience on hook. I was stunned watching this like your not so often perfectly shot fish.
I love the whole vibe of this vid. I felt the whole struggle and the triumph at the end.
21:56 and that is why it feels good. Well done buddy 😊
Just stumbled upon your channel. You did a fantastic job in presenting your story. Thoroughly enjoyed it. In, Hawaii we do the same, enjoying the Sushi. My preferred is the MahiMahi, cooked over an open fire or deep fried, then the smaller Tuna we in, Hawaii call it, Aku. The bigger, Yellow fin Tuna is good, but most Hawaiian peoples prefer the Aku because the flavor is tastier and the fish much more oily. And in your, Senior years of life boy does it cause a, Gout flare. 🔥Ouch. Love the Ono as well prefer it steamed. Also when we debone the Aku, we tend to deep fry the spine bone and crisp it up, so good. You’ve brought back many child hood and other memories back to mind with your friend. The kids coming out to look at the catch, the photo shoots, the family gatherings at the dinner tables, the fish stories. Back then we didn’t have the underwater cameras or the digital photography to easily make these story’s come to life. You had everything film and the, 8mm home movie cameras, typically didn’t have a waterproof housing. So in viewing your channel great editing as well. Aloha & Mahalo for your sharing you story. Could you please elaborate in your next broadcast what is that little pipe thrower made of? Why doesn’t it sink quickly is it filled with a weight or foam inside? Any way thank you again and Aloha to you and your channel. 🌺🌸🌴❤️🇺🇸
You are a storytelling king. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Lol, that tuna steal at the end was stone cold. Great videos, great work. Very enjoyable to watch.
This was awesome. Saw some tuna eating on instagram and fascinated, I ran right to UA-cam to watch and learn more about them. I stumbled upon this and was immediately hooked. Great story telling, editing, information, look at stuff more than fish, and the entertainment was amazing.
This was, by far, just about the most epic adventure I think I have ever seen. Cheers mate. 🍻
What a great first video to be introduced to your channel to. Your narrating style is very Bourdain-esque, if that was your intention you nailed it. If it wasn't, it subconsciously captured me. Fish on!
The translation is a bit off.. though amazing video dude! I love the narrations and laughed at the humor.
If anything ill translate it. Bcs I feel like it. No hate ofc.
The explanation of what Kadir experienced he says:
“my friend shot a big tuna. Suprised. A very big marlin (or he said "a marlin came in at once" came in out of nowhere). And it caused panic. I immediately got on the Rumpon after calling my friend over. I grabbed a bigger speargun. Then I went to shoot but that marlin is wayyy too big (large). The water
((might be the dilect but I couldn't understand this part))
blood. In the end, the marlin fled. But I am amazing! (brave). So scary. To see a marlin that large in the entirety of my life. (Grammatically its: my whole life I've never seen a marlin that large)This is the first time I've ever seen a Marlin that HUGE ((or he says EXTREMELY huge)). But thank you god! That Marlin was super aggressive, very mean ((in another translation its either strict, stern)). I was extremely scared (amazingly scared) but it was fun. An experience that is above and beyond ((or)) that is out of this world). Thank you god for saving my life. Thank you."
hahaha thanks for this...saya masi belagar bahasa indonesia 😅
Dude really got me watching his whole clip… well done.
Dude! This is one of the best spearo vids I've ever seen! And I've seen A LOT of them! It has everything! I particularly like how you show your failings. Stuff all spearos & hunters go through, but never post. Totally authentic and real. Tremendous!

Beautiful video. The 20 minute format is just amazing and totally keeps you attached to it, keep them coming! But, what is that at the bottom left of the video at 8:45?
Awesome video. Your videos inspired me to buy my own speargun. I’m currently waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I live in Ireland where the water is cold and murky but hopefully I’ll still catch some fish.
Hey dude!
You need to bend the barb with pliers to create a stop, preventing the fish from escaping, essentially turning it into a giant hook.
“And the winner… loses” 🤣🤣🤣
