That beeing said, I think your content does justify the suffering of the fish by the love for nature your videos share. If we all take care of our planet and oceans, there could be a thousabd more spearfisher like you and it wouldnt make a noticable dent in the populations.

This is amazing for me. Worlds colliding. I went to Bali in 2007, had a life changing trip and ended up meeting my wife there. We now live in the US and have kids and a busy modern life but our kids have 21 cousins in Singaraja, I now speak pretty decent bahasa and a bit of bahasa Bali juga and our lives are stretched between the two worlds. I also like fishing and am getting into free diving and by way of that found your videos, so imagine my suprise to see another group of people, suspended between the same two worlds..
The editing is amazing, the story telling narrative is artistic and raw but masterfully crafted, the human connection with your friends in Bali is also very touching for me to see as I've been there too, a lot.
Maybe on the next trip I'll keep my eye out for you or mas Kadir. My wife says he's from Madura, maybe his name or his accent or something.
Anyway keep making the videos man they're wonderful.

As a spearfisher myself I must say a couple of things. First of all - very impressive catch and we'll made video!
Second - your bad shots seem to make you feel more sorry for yourself than the fish you wounded.
I always argue that spearfishing is the most "fair" and sustainable way to fish since you choose your dinner and only pull the trigger when you have a good shot.
Of course everyone can be unlucky as when your tip didn't release, but in my opinion this video is far too trigger happy.
I've understand that the culture in our countries are very different. In Norway, where I fish, the policy of spearfishing is super strict and respectful. In my opinion it shouldn't be any difference if you're hunting reindeer or big fish. How would that look like if reindeer ran away with bad shots in them all the time?
The thing that you decide, and are responsible for another living creatures life/death is something that every hunter should show the deepest of respect for. You mention something similar to that in the video, but show something different.
    Just some thoughts ✌️🙏

I'm a 17 year old Victorian spearfisher who has been doing reef hunting since I was about 13 in water up to 20m, due to this I've never had to deal with any large game fish, but as I get older I'm getting more curious about dealing with larger fish.
I can't seem to find any guides on the tricks of the trade when spearing large, difficult to manage fish, not even how to go about putting them to sleep, and so ask you to consider making a guide on everything to know to get started with large game, it would be much appreciated by young spearos like me who don't have a mentor to guide them.

I recently discovered your channel and absolutely love your videos. I lived aboard my 40-foot sailboat for 6 years, and one of those years was spent in southern Mexico and in the Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California). I had two spearguns on onboard but my go-to was a JBL Magnum - nothing like your beauty but a good gun. We were on a tight cruiser's budget, so all of our catch went on to the dinner plate I never shot anything bigger than 35 lbs., so I can't imagine hooking into a big tuna or a Marlin. I would occasionally see a shark, so I made sure that I would get my catch into the dinghy as soon as possible. If there was more than one shark, then I was out of the water. The locals told me that stingrays were great for eating, so if I couldn't get a wahoo, small tuna, or something better, I could always take a stingray. Great job on the filming and editing. Stay safe out there.

Just stumbled upon your channel. You did a fantastic job in presenting your story. Thoroughly enjoyed it. In, Hawaii we do the same, enjoying the Sushi. My preferred is the MahiMahi, cooked over an open fire or deep fried, then the smaller Tuna we in, Hawaii call it, Aku. The bigger, Yellow fin Tuna is good, but most Hawaiian peoples prefer the Aku because the flavor is tastier and the fish much more oily. And in your, Senior years of life boy does it cause a, Gout flare. 🔥Ouch. Love the Ono as well prefer it steamed. Also when we debone the Aku, we tend to deep fry the spine bone and crisp it up, so good. You’ve brought back many child hood and other memories back to mind with your friend. The kids coming out to look at the catch, the photo shoots, the family gatherings at the dinner tables, the fish stories. Back then we didn’t have the underwater cameras or the digital photography to easily make these story’s come to life. You had everything film and the, 8mm home movie cameras, typically didn’t have a waterproof housing. So in viewing your channel great editing as well. Aloha & Mahalo for your sharing you story. Could you please elaborate in your next broadcast what is that little pipe thrower made of? Why doesn’t it sink quickly is it filled with a weight or foam inside? Any way thank you again and Aloha to you and your channel. 🌺🌸🌴❤️🇺🇸

This was awesome. Saw some tuna eating on instagram and fascinated, I ran right to UA-cam to watch and learn more about them. I stumbled upon this and was immediately hooked. Great story telling, editing, information, look at stuff more than fish, and the entertainment was amazing.

What a great first video to be introduced to your channel to. Your narrating style is very Bourdain-esque, if that was your intention you nailed it. If it wasn't, it subconsciously captured me. Fish on!

The translation is a bit off.. though amazing video dude! I love the narrations and laughed at the humor.
If anything ill translate it. Bcs I feel like it. No hate ofc.
The explanation of what Kadir experienced he says:
“my friend shot a big tuna. Suprised. A very big marlin (or he said "a marlin came in at once" came in out of nowhere). And it caused panic. I immediately got on the Rumpon after calling my friend over. I grabbed a bigger speargun. Then I went to shoot but that marlin is wayyy too big (large). The water
((might be the dilect but I couldn't understand this part))
blood. In the end, the marlin fled. But I am amazing! (brave). So scary. To see a marlin that large in the entirety of my life. (Grammatically its: my whole life I've never seen a marlin that large)This is the first time I've ever seen a Marlin that HUGE ((or he says EXTREMELY huge)). But thank you god! That Marlin was super aggressive, very mean ((in another translation its either strict, stern)). I was extremely scared (amazingly scared) but it was fun. An experience that is above and beyond ((or)) that is out of this world). Thank you god for saving my life. Thank you."

    Hey dude!
You need to bend the barb with pliers to create a stop, preventing the fish from escaping, essentially turning it into a giant hook.
