Saw Warrant twice live in November 1992 and July 1998. I specifically remember Jani Lane doing the intro to this song at the Ionia Michigan fare in 1998 and he paused and the whole audience at least 10,0000 of us sang "biggest fan" back at him and he was so proud and happy. He was like "wow you guys are so bad assed"
RIP Janie
You broke this song down great. Thank you.
I saw Warrant several times in small clubs and large arenas. Jani Lane was an incredible singer and songwriter. He wrote almost all of Warrants songs. He unfortunately died too soon because of alcohol. He was more than a pretty boy hair band musician. Wish he could have beat his demons. I would have loved to hear the music he would have written.
I wore that cassette out 2 or 3 times. One of those albums you have to play all the way through. Beats the hell out of the Cherry Pie album, although I do love it too. Dog Eat Dog is almost as good.
This bring me 20 years back down OMG is so great, saw Janny leane live perfoming, this is dope!!!!
Awesome. I love that.
I have another warrant song for you. I is called ( I saw red) . beautiful song. One of my favorite bands of the ,80' s . Saw the in concert from 87 to 89 . It is just as good as heaven maybe even better. You will love it. Thank you
Will do. Thank you. Much love.
Good job Sarah I enjoyed that 👍
Hey they had another song similar music, called "I saw red"
Just ran across your video. You couldn't be further from the truth when you say they were more about the image than the music. The producers and management were behind the image. Jani Lane was one of the most incredibly talented musicians, singer songwriters ever. He was most definitely more concerned with the music. In fact, the song Cherry Pie that you reference, he hated. He only wrote it because the record label demanded another radio friendly hit. He wrote that song in a matter of minutes in a hotel room and it was exactly what the record label wanted. A huge radio hit! I only wish he had been able to overcome the demons he fought.
I Saw Red, Uncle Tom's Cabin. (Cherry Pie was actually just "cheese")
Check out Vince Neil's debut solo album from 1993. The last part rock album of the Era that had any radio success. Sounds like Motley Crue...up tempo, but Steve Stevens on guitar from Billy Idol.
Try Blind Faith from warrant (live on arsenio hall). Mr Rainmaker if you want to hear harder Warrant.
Yes these bands did have an image to keep. But don't think for a minute they couldn't write powerful words and music. Just need to get past the commercial stuff.
They had a lot of good songs. Check out out Slaughter. Warrant is much more talented than Poison.
Lol she looks tore up in this vid 😂
Wow. So just because I'm not in all makeup, it's "looks tore up." We don't need to wear it all the time also do you realize I have a chronic illness which brings fatigue and much more.. I can't believe someone would comment on one's appearance, just because I don't meet your standards of what looking good looks like. Learn and do better.
@@SarahraeLivingLife “do you realize I have a chronic illness”…umm I just barely subscribed so how would I have known?? I guess trying to be funny doesn’t translate well over text, sheesh
@@damiion666 So to you its funny to make fun of people's appearances. Well I am telling you it is not. Joking like that without making it known can hurt people and imagine if mental health issues such as depression is big with that person, how do you think that person would react. People hide behind keyboards and say whatever they want without thinking if it hurts or not. I'm not attacking you, I am trying to show you how it is wrong and can hurt people. Much love.
@@SarahraeLivingLife mental health issues? I merely said you looked tore up…meaning you don’t look yourself today, hangover? Didn’t sleep well all night??…looking tore up doesn’t necessarily mean your looks are ugly sheesh. You’re a very difficult person to apologize to, good night
Hi Sarah. Warrant. Rather unfairly always associated with being the Hair Metal band that invited Grunge to drive a steamroller over the genre thanks to Cherry Pie. I say unfairly because in hindsight Cherry Pie and Warrant weren't that bad. Hated them at the time, mind you!🤣🤣🤣
Heaven is a really good power ballad spoilt for me by only two words ...... "little girl". Times have changed and it is now even more cringey to have a grown ass man wanting to call any woman his "little girl". Apart from those 2 words I like this song, not as much as Cherry Pie though.
I am surprised no one else has recommended 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' yet! I would have thought that is hands down the best Warrant song. It kicks arse and for Skid Row fans who like a bit of grunt in their guitars it certainly delivers. In fact it is a perfect 'rock formula song' acoustic intro, belting riff, story telling verses, anthemic choruses, and a killer solo. Perfect.
Clearly I am in a minority on this one but give it a go Sarah, it won't disappoint!😁🤘🤘
