This Deku Diet is a really fun one to try to take on. It has some of my favorite dishes, some great variety AND the training session is a lot of fun.
Here is the breakdown -
Breakfast: Taiyaki ~ 500kcal
Lunch: Katsudon Bento ~ 1100
Dinner: SUPER SECRET ~ XD

Basically yeah. I read the manga many years ago, but if I remember correctly AllMights diet plan for Deku was basically almost a year long Bulking fase. So a lot of high calorie dense foods and a lot of protein to recuperate from the regimented cardio and strength training sessions.
Which was perfect for this untrained and naturally skinny kid.
It's pretty close for most people. What I find interesting is the focus on the high density meals and the lack of vegetables haha
That's because he left out the most important source of Deku's protein (Bakugo's milk)

I've never seen egg-filling taiyaki before! Doing a quick search, though, I saw some amazing savory taiyaki ideas. I guess in the west, they tend to go for crepes rather than stuffed pancakes, or on top, like with chicken and waffles. (Oooh, so many asian fusion ideas. Syrup taiyaki with chicken katsu, or waffle-fried karaage?)
I wonder if you could use pupusa dough in a taiyaki iron? The corn dough with the red bean paste sounds good.
@@TheJesselopez1981 I don't see why not! It would interesting to see how a sweet corn would interact with the adzuki paste. Might want to slightly lessen the sugar in the paste, so that the dough's flavor can be more prominent.

Hey, it might be good to clarify red adzuki beans. There's a ton of "Red Bean" beans in my area, of pinto and kidney and other varieties, so I never understood what was meant by just red bean paste. There is not adzuki beans though, and in my experience beans don't taste alike so not knowing could be an issue for others trying it too.
Good call. It's easy to forget was is and isn't common knowledge.

I love Taiyaki, I got to try it at the Japanese cultural celebration my state puts on called Japanfest...I wish I coulda got my hands on the limited Magikarp taiyaki mold they had for Pokemon at one point a couple years ago, not at the festival but just something that I found on the internet. I actually tried to make anko paste once LONG ago from a simple cookbook I got years ago that had some desserts that used it. I...misunderstood the instructions on soaking...and, let the PASTE I turned the beans into soak overnight....I pretty much destroyed the pot that was made in but I think I managed to salvage it with a LOT of soaking and scrubbing. I make a simpler Katsudon bowl that leaves out the egg though...I've commented on this channel fairly regularly so other subscribers and the Chef himself know...eggs and me don't really mix well int eh case of traditional stuff like scrambled eggs or the egg topping on a Katusdon bowl...I'm not the biggest fan of burgers though..haven't tried making them myself though so that might be the big difference..the one time I tried one from a fast food joint I hated it.

@@Robots_With_Anxietyyyy Yep, I don't get to go as often as I would like cause I don't like to go to things like that or the ren fair with under 100 bucks..the ren fair I won't go to with under $1000 just in case I find something cool, but it's a might hard to save up for those right now with inflation..I'll get back one day to both of them.

@@Robots_With_Anxietyyyy Honestly I don't know which trip to Japanfest I liked more, the one at the convention center (my second one) or the one at Stone Mountain (my first one)...there seemed to be more things at the first one but then again it could have just been the fact that I didn't have to travel all over a building to find different things and demonstrations. I had good food at both though...now I want some Takoyaki...not exactly easy to get in my area outside of going to Korean or International markets where I can actually get octopus to put in the batter..and I don't have the right stuff on hand for that..think I got a pancake ball pan that could be bootlegged into making takoyaki balls.

Working out at the beach is a great workout, but o so hard. This was a fun video. I enjoy work out videos and diets based off anime characters. It's probably why I enjoy Jaxblade's videos.
Cannon Beach is a real nice spot. Big beach with Haystack Rock right there and tide pools to look at (though I think the tide pools are still closed due to seabirds nesting on the rock) and it's usually not as busy as somewhere like Seaside. Good place to spend the day and then have a campfire at night.

Hey Chef you could try forming the rice into small bites or balls for the next time you end up having to eat it with your hands instead of dropping the rice from high up and possibly causing a mess if not careful, there's no shame to eating with your hands since many cultures prefer it over utensils to this day!
Anyways as always watching your vids while I'm starving is a bad idea cuz that lunch and dinner made it worse 😭

I don't know why, but this video made me want to go on a roadtrip first to the south of my state of wisconsin to get boba tea, but then to Plano texas to get the best katsu-don I've ever had, from a place called Yama Izakaya & Sushi.

If I were in My Hero Academia, my diet would be egg omelette with onions and tomatoes, tonkostu ramen and burger steak with fries and with gravy and mushrooms.

When eating rice, meat, and vegetables with your hands:
Use only one hand, get the pieces you're going to eat, pack the rice and meat/vegetables together, then use all your fingers to pick it up and push it into your mouth using your thumb.

Eating like famous anime characters is a good idea.
How about cooking like goku's wife chichi? Setsuno? Nakiri? Or maybe do a full-course menu with medicinal cooking as the theme. Imagine curing diseases and other ailments with just cooking.....i personally think that would be amazing.

I work at lowes and the most I walk in a day is about almost 20,000 steps. so if you want a workout come to lowes plus I lift lumber most of the time
