As a retail worker... THANK YOU PAUL! For putting that Udon back in it's right place, having to go around and put stuff back in its place is a fucking pain, even worse when people leave stuff that needs cooling out, only for it to go bad. Please keep putting stuff back on it's right shelf if you regret taking something, it helps way more than you know.
I was going to make a joke about how he's finally having to cook-off the budget most of us have to live on. But that was a ton of food for $13. To be honest that was enough food for two days.
I feel sorry for u bc u have to live a. Meal on 13$ i an lucky to parents who get 100$ a work day I have a giant family of 10 people each week cost like 600$ for food it has been bad if it was just my parents alone they would be rich I am grateful for them
Early gang. Back before my heart condition formed, I attempted the One Punch Man and Deku's Training Regimen to get ready for OFA, and it was brutal. I wish I had been able to give myself the kinds of meals you do, but I didn't have the knowledge at the time, so my macros sucked. I'm loving these challenges though, and I think that is one of the coolest dice towers I've ever seen. Thanks Chef!
$15-2 (fail 10k run) = $13 $13-2 (fail 100 pushup) = $11 $11-2 (fail 100 situps) = $9 $9+2 (success 100 Squats) = $11 so $11 was the correct budget, you minused -$2 and went to $13 after both the run and pushup.
As someone who has had to live on thirty cents a day, I am just thinking how good it was when I could have food that cost 5 dollars a meal. Things that involve any kind of cash challenge are always fun.
I had a bit to drink on Monday and tried to do 100 push ups thinking that 15 years out of high school, when I could do it, wouldn't take its toll... and I can now, on Saturday, move my arms again. I commend your drive lol. I've also found that keeping the root on the onion helps with the tears as well. It's not perfect though.
I have a feeling when ChefPk gets to start doing dishes off of “Campfire cooking in another world” he is going to be happy. Only question how hard would it be dress up Gandalf as the Fel the Fenrir.
I kind of knew that the exercise portion would be tough. Even after practicing martial arts for over 15 years now, including a growing set of push-ups, sit-ups, jump rope, and running for each rank-up, I know just how difficult it is to try Saitama's exercise routine, especially every single day, which is probably why for the program I am with, it is a weekly goal rather than a daily goal. We also do not bother with a time limit, which is never helpful to have when you have to do a number of the aforementioned exercises that increases the higher in rank you are and are going for. As far as I was concerned, the food would be easy enough to do (at least for you), but the exercise would probably nearly end you, which, judging from the video, was pretty much the case.
Those looked great! At least the exercises don't have to be that caliber daily haha Also, when editor Paul chimed in and explained, I literally said to myself "the math ain't mathing chief"
Only 2 ways I'm aware of to eliminate or drastically reduce the onion crying: really good ventilation, or swimming goggles (or some other type of goggles that forms a seal around your eyes).
If you want a proper onion trick, there's actually a stem root in the center of the onion, if you can basically core the onion by removing that small piece the whole thing will do nothing to your eyes even if you get up really close with your open eyes. Takes some practice to get rid of the onion burn but it is a neat trick.
Crazy, just yesterday I decided to do my own OPM challenge, then here comes your video. For anyone curious, I beat my 10k, and 100 squats, but can only do 10 push-ups atm. I'm not doing 100 sit-ups because I like having a working back. But damn am I sore today.
The only trick I’ve found that for cutting onions is to breathe through your mouth. It’s hard to not switch back to breathing with my nose so I end up failing half of the time.
12:38 - Apparently my local H Mart is ripping me off if you're getting yours for about $2.50 while I have to pay $5, lol . Luckily I can make that big box into 8 meals worth of curry easily, so still not bad. Just something I noticed.
OMG! I just had an idea! I know it's not your normal thing, but how about: Eat like KUNG FU PANDA (Po specifically) you can make dumplings and noodles and "the dew from a single ginkgo leaf and the energy of the universe." (Good luck figuring THAT one out.)
Seasoning and oil shouldn't really count towards your meal. Because people usually don't use who container or bottle of either just for one meal. But if you did want to get the cost measure how much used for that meal and divided its amount of how much it would per ounce.
Paul! Next time you chop an onion try putting a piece of bread in your mouth and hold it there, it's supposed to absorb the onion enzymes like it does with capsaicin. That's how I do it
As someone that works with gym equipment, I can tell you that the treadmills are very VERY inaccurate. They give you an "approximation " of your millage
I don’t get it he was right it is 11 dollars left look he had 15 failed one challenge drop down to 13 the he failed another challenge dropped down to 11 then he failed one more came to 9 then he passed one which’s makes it he has 11 dollars left
To help you not cry while cutting onions, keep them in the fridge, but also after u do the first cut down the middle, rinse both sides in cold water. If u still are crying while cutting, you didn’t rinse long enough
The more damage that was done to the onion's cell walls, the more that the enzymes are released. So, the smaller the cut or dice, the more it will burn.
I believe putting it in the fridge or the freezer a little while before cutting the onion will slow down the enzymes a bit so they won't irritate your eyes as much
I swear by this- put the onion in the freeze 10-15 minutes before you cut it. It'll neutralize the enzymes that then mixes with the moisture in your eyes and causes the stingy and tears to form.
If not mentioned, I wouldn't have noticed, that the food was on a budget :D Reminds me of the start of my university live, where I had about 5€ per week for food. 2017 was much cheaper than today, and without rice, noodles, flour and canned tomatoes for 39cts, I don't think that would have been possible. But in retrospect I'm pretty glad, as I've acquired the skill to make a meal based of whatever I have laying around and never have to throw food away.
Isn't anime related, but would love to see you do a video where the day before Rachel made breakfast, lunch and dinner. But she makes whatever she feels like making and you have to use those leftovers for the next days meals.
Math checks out 👍 Challenge for ya CHEFPK: make a bunch of dishes for Rachel, but catch is Scoville units jump each dish or both of you try the Satan's Toe

Chef when I left military school. (After 8 months of training) I could do 65pushup in 2 minutes, 120situps in 2 minutes, 20 pullups before letting go of the bar, 195 body squats and run 3.5 miles in 18.5 min

Man seeing you try the challenge was impressive. But you need to remember that Saitama spent three years doing this and he probably started having issues.
There was actually a point in my life when I could have done that 100 sit ups within 2 minutes. Used to be my stomach was my most fit muscle, despite the rest of my at the time being extremely unfit.
The hardest part of saitama routine is that if you’re in cold temperatures, you have to keep your body at the cold temperature. If you’re in hot temperatures, you have to keep your body at the high temperature.
the 100 situps should've been easier than the squats lol, then again it is different for everybody because everyone has their strong suits, I guess yours is leg day
