Just ordered the Seat Jackers and used your discount code, they took it even though it was a few days late, and really enjoy watching and learning from your Tacoma Journey keep them up
Chloe, I watched your video last week and just installed my seat jackers to my 2019 Tacoma TRD Off-Road today. I’m 6’4 and was still a little concerned about head space but it was not an issue as you stated. First time sitting in my seat it was a completely different experience and I loved it. Thanks for bringing this epic mod to my attention.
These seat jackers really helped me out, I found the stock seats on my 19 Tacoma was starting to flare up my old herniated disc injuries due to being 6’2 in the uncomfortable position.
@@chrisnunez111 it provides more lower thigh support depending on how you angle the seat. Not much in the sense of more leg room. Also there is the issue of lack of adjustment for the steering wheel. If you’re looking for more leg room, you’ll have to move up to a Tundra.
Just installed my front and rear jackers. I had issues with my back and legs but with this mod it feels awesome. Thank you for your video. This is why i got this .
OK, ordered front jackers for my '17 Tacoma on a tired Friday evening (3/5/21; discount code was used, thanks). 3/11/21 Seat Jackers received & installed; just need to get some driving time now to determine how much they'll help me from getting a sore back on longer trips. 3/16/21: I drove around town for maybe an hour and decided I needed the rear of the seat raised up, too. I bought two 1" zinc spacers (1/2"x5/8"x1") and two M10-1.25x50mm bolts and raised the rear. I already had some flat washers and used them under the bolt heads. Note, becareful to get the 1.25 threads as there were also 1.5 threads at the store. As I had a few more washers at home, I also bought two 40mm length bolts and used these to slightly raise the rear of the passenger seat, too (~2 or 3 washers under each rear side). Also note these Lowe's hardware store bolts use a 17mm socket head. If I'd have bought the rear seat jacker kit I'd have used that but for $8 for two bolts & spacers and already having some flat washers at home, I got instant gratification and saved some money. 3/17/21 Longer 4 hour drive from CA to NV. I did notice w/my 5'9" height it was easier for my head to hit/touch the headliner if I move my head to the left. Overall, if I'd not heard of the product, I'd probably be ok living with the stock seat set-up. I was also OK with 2 or 3 flat washers raising just the rear of the seat. I do like how the front seat jackers give me a better view through the windshield.
This mod is great. I just installed this mod tonight. Thanks for sharing this mod. It makes a great difference for driver and the passenger. My wife loves it too.
I really don’t know if this is a modification I need as my 2020 TRD pro has a 10 way adjustable power seat. I don’t know if it would offer me any benefit at all. However it might be a good idea to install on the passenger side it might make it a much more comfortable ride for them.
You were not wrong at all. Just got back from a 1k-mile round trip and noticed my thighs in slight pain. Just installed mine and, WOW! Now I need to order a set for my passenger seat
My husband got me a set of Seat Jackers for Christmas. They were super simple to install and even just sitting in the driveway the seats are way more comfortable! Looking forward to a nice long drive in the Taco with them.
Have these installed and there is a very noticeable difference in comfort. Especially on long drives. They even included a piece of candy in my package. Lol. Love it!
I just installed mine in my 2022 TRD OffRoad. Thanks for the tip on the breaker bar, I couldn’t budge the bolts til I used the bar. By the way, I’m a 70 yr old female and I do my own mods.
Finally got the rear seat items and wow, what a major difference it makes to lift 2 inches on both front and rear. Thank you Chloe, I appreciate the suggestions.
That's the 1st thing I thought of when I got my Tacoma this year. I thought to myself man these seats aren't that comfortable. Coming from a Honda Ridgeline were there so many ways to adjust the seat.
Chloe, I ordered these a couple weeks ago after watching your review. They are fantastic! You should be getting credit! They should give you a new discount code!
Once again I followed your lead and was pleasantly surprised. I installed the seat jackers today and the feel in the driver seat is phenomenal. I also added the Molle panel that goes with them. Thinking of mounting a fire extinguisher there. Thanks for the review.
One of the few things Ive disliked about the Tacoma is the fact that the seat was never right, it should have had a power seat which would have fixed all the problems and that is the main reason I traded in my 2018 Tacoma for a 2021 Tacoma. I tried the spacer thing but still never really liked the seating position, glad you are happy with yours Chloe.. It was Jesse Rizzo that did an install of a spacer, it helped a bit but not enough...
Never would have thought of adding this mod without watching your video. Looks like the TRD Pro (Red) are out of stock. Once available, I'll buy and install thanks to you. Keep up the great vids Chloe!
It's been 2 years with the Seat Jackers, as recommended by Chloe. Today (3/16/23) I removed the Seat Jackers and moved them to the passenger seat. I'd also originally raised the rear ~1" using longer bolts and spacers and removed that hardware, replacing the original bolts. Why try going back? 1). At 5'9", I had to duck into or bend my head down even more to enter & exit my truck; 2) I always had my outward vision blocked due to the relatively blocked view through the windshield with my rearview mirror blocking much of what's visible, instead of looking under the rearview mirror, even though looking over the hood was a bit better w/Seat Jackers. Anyway, I'll be trying the stock seating once again and I'll determine if my back will get annoyed during longer drives. As my wife is typically my only passenger, I'll see if using only the front Seat Jackers will be ok for her without raising the rear mounts. (I don't believe I'd vacuumed the truck in 2 years either!:)
Thank you for the instructions, i just got done installing them, unfortunately, I was not aware immediately that the rear items are different to the front, but ended installing the drivers side and once the rear items arrive will install both the driver rear and the front passenger, I can certainly feel a big difference when i sit in the seat and makes a big difference.
so if you jack up the front AND then the back, wouldn't they cancel eachother out? honestly interested it just seems counter intuitive to jack both the front and back unless you're simply trying to get a taller perspective.
A bit late to the game but the seat jackers were a great mod. I’m 6’3” and the downward angle of the seat would kill my lower back. Then after spinal surgery i needed a lift in the seat, got there almost 2 years ago for $75. Saved my back on long drives. But sold my completely modded 14 dcsb for a raptor. THAT was the best mod ever. Haha.
You sold me Chloe! I ordered a set with that Molle front panel. I put a radio in my quicksand Tacoma the past couple days the Kenwood DMX 1037S it was a pain but it’s great.
Great video! What a useful mod! I struggled with this in my 2018 Tacoma. I traded for a 20' with heated and adjustable seats. Fortunately you can adjust the seat height but it's not enough. That and it raises the entire seat so head room is at a premium, and I'm only 5'8". I'm ordering a set of these ASAP.
Do you recommend also adding rear jackers at the same time as the front? Seems like maybe only doing the front might cause the rear metal to bend when cranked down if only adding them to the front?
I agree. love my Taco but the thing I don’t like about it is the seating angle. It feels like the seats are making me slouch & after an hour or so of driving, my back starts to ache. So I have to put a cushion behind my back
After reading a lot of the comments, some people had problems seeing past the visor, I’m guessing this is an issue for taller people? I’m 6’2 and don’t really have any issues in my seating. I’ve been all across the country and don’t seem to have a problem. I’m glad it’s worked for many though.
Honestly, the price is actually reasonable. Remember, not only is this designed and made in the US, but it is all done by CNC Machinist. Look im a CNC Machinist myself and i know the work they put into it. If the do it with a 5 axis machine with a special vice on the pallet, then may be able to do it in 3 or 2 operations. Either way, both are very expensive to run, even more when you have your machinist working for you.
I thought the price was high too but hey..... Made in the US free shipping to Hawaii (almost never happens) and if it will make me more comfortable, yay. I’m a short 64 year OLD woman who finally got the truck I wanted all my life but it truly is not all that comfortable. So to be more comfortable AND see over the hood... yes I ordered them. Although, don’t know if I’ll be able to do it myself. Chloe makes everything look so easy.
That’s a great mod Chloe....thanks for the info. People don’t often realize how just that small adjustment makes a very noticeable difference in ride comfort...especially on longer drives. Looking forward to the next vid 🛻🔧👀😎
Great job on videos!! I would hope Toyota would listen to people like u!! I may go Ridgeline cause I'm an oldie and need to be comfortable as I drive on freeway much!! Well done!!
I gotta kinda snicker a little here..... We lift the front to change the angle, then we lift the rear to change it back, essentially just jacking up the seat.... hmmmm. It always amuses me anyway when people complain about the Taco being uncomfortable. I'm 6'10" and drove my 2019 TRD offroad 5200 miles in 17 days last July from Florida to Colorado and back. (3 days there - 3 days back.. 11 days running trails and camping). No problems. And I'm not a young guy. Jacking up the seat (back) to me would just kill headroom. I guess it's useful if you're vertically challenged. Haha.
I'm thinking some may want the whole seat lifted vs just the front for clearance and/or to get higher in the vehicle if they are shorter. That's what I'm thinking. I fit fine, but I'm sure shorter people have issues.
I hope that insurance companies don't try to use these as an excuse to try and not provide coverage in an accident injury claim. Those bastards want your money but when it comes to paying, they'll do everything under the sun to scheme out of coverage.
The Seat Jackers are super nice, well made, fits perfectly and actually do their job. Only down side is the price, A tad high. Will buy a second set for the passenger side in the future, may be wait and see if the have a sale or discount code.
The best seat mod is to buy good quality foam I got like 6 inch foam at Walmart for 100 bucks. And some seat covers for like 25 bucks at Walmart. You just cut out a square of foam for the butt and a rectangle for the back and put the seat cover over it . Bang now you got a couch seat
I thought the power seats would solve this but when you raise the front the whole seat doesn’t raise just the pad so it doesn’t help with the angle. These look great
They don’t make it for my cheap cuv, so I’m going to try some steel washers from the hardware store and do the rear part. Or test it out and experiment if it helps me.
Unfortunately, the seat jackers made my seat way more uncomfortable. I just got back from a 9 hour road trip and it was hard on my back. I'll be removing them soon. Thank you for the recommendation though, hope they still help you out.
I have a 2020 with power driver seat. It gives me all the adjustment I need for total comfort. I wonder if this would be worthwhile in a power seat equipped Tacoma? Also, you think this might be an issue with insurance in an accident?
@@j.g.2561 Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure how or why the seat rail would bend. The Seat Jackers have the same contact area as the factory seat rails to the floor. No reason that Seat Jackers would cause a seat to bend or brake.
Excellent idea, maybe next a steering wheel spacer to use with stock wheel?? Wheel is entirely too close to the dash, i.e., far away from the driver in Tacoma's. Long drives = shoulder/back pain for sure. Seems like the right company for the job! Cheers :)
Thanks for the question, its one we get often so I will be adding it to our FAQ soon. We have performed accelerated aging tests as well as shear and tension tests. In all cases, the factory hardware fails before doing any damage to our Seat Jackers. We use the strongest aluminum available (Billet 7075) and factory Class 10.9 hardware. In an accident our products will not be the weak link. In short, if you manage to damage our Seat Jackers in an accident, you have bigger problems to worry about. Hope that helps.
I just bought my first 2021 Tacoma. After driving one as a rental car, I quickly realized, the seats were too low to the floor. I now have the SR5 with 10 way power seats.
Bought them with your discount. 2 sets, front and back, you saved me $28. Thanks

Wow!! I just put Desert Does It front and rear seat jackers in my 2017 6 MT TRD Off Road. These changed the seating position so much better!
Next is the ARB under seat compressor with Desert Does it mount
These seat jackers really helped me out, I found the stock seats on my 19 Tacoma was starting to flare up my old herniated disc injuries due to being 6’2 in the uncomfortable position.
Does it create more or less leg room?

Seems like a good product, but I wonder how they hold up in a crash test...?
That is my fear too.
This is my biggest hang up too. I don’t want my life insurance to deny a claim if I die in an accident

Thanks, just put them in today, first drive, allot better
Great vid as always. I’ve been looking at these for a while and you convinced me to get it done!
Really helps short folks see over the hood when Off-Roading! I run spacers in my 4Runner, 83 Hilux and my 06 Rubi unlimited.
I like the idea of the seat jackers but damn that price tag

Same here, was thinking about doing it with the passenger side though. I’ve had some passenger complaints 😆
Need to get front and rear seat jackers.with the electric seat it may bend the rail.
Cheers :)
I love your videos!!!! Just got a new 2021 Tacoma. I love my baby

Does adding the seat jackers affect anything when in a car accident? Or has it been tested to withstand impact and still stay intact ?
Thanks for the question, its one we get often so I will be adding it to our FAQ soon. We have performed accelerated aging tests as well as shear and tension tests. In all cases, the factory hardware fails before doing any damage to our Seat Jackers. We use the strongest aluminum available (Billet 7075) and factory Class 10.9 hardware. In an accident our products will not be the weak link. In short, if you manage to damage our Seat Jackers in an accident, you have bigger problems to worry about. Hope that helps.
@@DesertDoesIt just the answer I was looking for !!! Thanks for the response! Will be purchasing next week!
hey Chloe which were the screen protectors you use???
Did you stick with the same height on the rear? Medium size ones.
FYI your Skid Plate links don't show anything and same with the fabzone Armor rock sliders you have listed.
I just bought my first 2021 Tacoma. After driving one as a rental car, I quickly realized, the seats were too low to the floor. I now have the SR5 with 10 way power seats.
Have you thought about changing the 1990 Gloomy Grey and Death Black interior colors that are extremely Outdated from the last Millennium
is it just me or is there no description with any links at all for this video?!?!
I put spacer's and grade 8 bolts in the back, it's so much better.
Do u install these on the passenger side also or just the driver's side?
