Lky is one of the most respected person in Singapore. During his death, thousands queue up for 7 to 12hrs just to pay their respects to him. Not just Singaporeans, Malaysians, Indonesians too. No one commands such respect. No one force these people to queue under the blazing hot weather in Singapore. In fact people was warn that the queue was at least 7hrs long. Yet they go every single day. You can hate him, you can disagree with him, but its hard not to respect what he has done.

LKY, was like a lighthouse, who was able to see us through the fogs of many dark and stormy seas. Together with his trusted lieutenants and pioneers, they paddled united for their future and their childrens' future. Likewise, our storm is becoming more darker and turbulent, hope everyone can all steer this tiny boat just like the last generation of our pioneers for the sake of our children and their future. ✌️

I personally don't agree with everything LKY did. LKY was not a perfect leader. Like every human being LKY was an imperfect leader. However, in the end, even the people who hated LKY paid their respects to him when he died. He earned everyone's respect, because it was obvious that LKY loved Singapore, and everyone respected what he did to turn Singapore into a world class city!
They improved because they embraced inequality.
One day Philippines will rise beyond Singapore if a good leaders guides us.

the policy makers seating in high positions should reform our incompetent constitution made by a plain house wife first before aiming for that. our current constitution has too much loopholes and economic restrictions that have been stopping us from uplifting our nation out from being a 3rd world state. open the economy for foreign direct investments, remove economic restrictions, change our system into parliamentary and vote an intelligent yet strict president is what our country needs.
