Thanks for this insight. I got the same problem on UA-cam. I tried a lot with compressor. Used the same setting recommended by UA-cam, used higher Bitrate. Lower Bitrate. Everything looked bad. So uploading GoPro Downhill footage is kind a mess :(
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I'm into adventure motorcycling, which includes riding roads through the forests, and I tried everything. Including settings shared by other motovloggers. The footage looks great until it is uploaded to UA-cam.
Nice narrating/reading the background pre-written text :D Thank You. I was strugglin also with the lack of youtube compression and did not found a good settings solution. Always trying to record with sharpness set on low when I was in the woods or terrain with lots of details.
I have GoPro 10 black. I shoot 1080p coz my Pc doesn't support 2k editing. when I upload to youtube the picture quality drops too much. I have seen many videos and tried exporting from editing software using the 4k setting. still no use. how you do it. Please tell.
Sir your videos r awesome. Love from india. Actually i m also facing problems in editing my footages taken in forests. as u said in video many details footage like surrounded by leafy, trees and grass my video pixeletes in some areas. I m not able to color grade properly because of it. Plz suggest what is the problem?
I have a question when I want export my video wich I filmed with go pro 7 silver there are two bars on the right and left side what should I do to fix that???
I am new to shooting on a GoPro and have two questions. 1. If shooting in 4k 60fps do my videos automatically get compressed when I try to upload them to the GoPro Quik App, iPhone, iPad or computer. If so is there a way to avoid this? I like to view these videos on a 4K TV. 2. I usually slow down my videos which is why I am shooting in 4K 60fps. Is that a mistake? Thanks for your help!
Hello from Greece. Congratulations first of all on your video like everything else. I would like your help please if you know. I have the gopro 9 and am having trouble exporting video from premiere and filmora as well. While initially the video from the sd card is very good quality when exported to premiere and filmorora (bitrate 20 - 30 and code mode H.264) the result comes out with pixelize especially in bright places. With any other cameras (sony a6400, DJI) there is no problem, even with less bitrate. The day before yesterday I tried on Vp9 and saw good results but very large file. Can you please tell me what settings you make or what I should do? Thanks!
Thanks for the video! I have a question. I shoot 2K 60FPS with GoPro Hero 8 and it says ~80 Mbps bitrate. I upload videos to UA-cam but UA-cam’s bitrate for 1080p is very low comparing to source itself. What to do for the best quality in terms of bitrate?
can you help me about gopro hero 7 black issue? i suffer a big problem. this is- I shoot 2.7 k, 16:9 ratio, 60 fps, protune off for motovloging & its upload for youtube. but when i upload footage on youtube, then its quality is very bad. i was edit by filmora 9. render 2.7 k frame, bitrate 50000 kbps, what can i do now? pls help
Exactly the same here, I’ve tried so many different combos there are none left. When I play it on the Mac it looks fantastic, upload it to UA-cam and it’s shocking no matter how I upload it. I have trawled the Internet and UA-cam and there are shed loads of cures offered but they are like snake oil, they just don’t work 😕
I am planning on using two different GoPro (GoPro Hero 7 Black and GoPro Hero 5 Session) for different angles of the same footage. Do I need to record the same video FPS and resolution for both GoPros if I plan on combining the videos into one video for UA-cam? Thank you.
I'll try to reduce the frame rate next time. It hurts when you want to show alot to the viewers and they're not able to see it all. While editing you get your hopes up, and it crashes as youtube plays it in low quality.
Great informative videos well edited and no rambling nonsence. I really appreciate the effort put in too pal.
Thx mate
One of the rare channels that really help you

Record in 4k and export in 1080p
Or
Record in 1080p and export in 1080p
Which one will give better results?
I would also like to know.
As always..... Awesome video! I will use your settings in FCPX! Thanks again, Ray 😊👍

You have to change the aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9
This was a great GoPro clinic... much love from D.C.
Thx!
In day light, If I shoot 2.7k/24fps, shutter speed 1/48, and iso 100 max, my image is completely whitewashed. Is this normal?
Yes, 1/48 ist way too low for daylight and without ND-Filter
Awesome Verna mate. Thank you. I love my GPH7B
Thx mate
Thank you for the informative video! Do you use ND filters on your gopro? If yes, I would definitely like a video about it:)
I should use them more often than I really do. I will put it on my list...
Hey, M from India your videos and very I formative, clear and cut
Good info thanks
always suck! upload my video to UA-cam. even with 2.7K GoPro. after loaded looks lake 720HD.
Jeremy Tan that's because youtube compresses the video we uploaded .. might as well just use 720p then .. lol
My vids don't even register as 2.7k, only 1440p. I don't think UA-cam supports that res. Might have to export them as 4k

Hi, I personally use FCPX and shoot everything in 4K. I create my projects in 4K and upload in 4K as well. But that's all I can tell you.
@@MountMediaChannel Thanks!!!! bitrate in export?
great vid man - straight to the point and a lot of info!
Thx mate!

You should use the same frame rate, the resolution is not so important
Really helped me with my videos.
I'll try to reduce the frame rate next time.

While editing you get your hopes up, and it crashes as youtube plays it in low quality.
What can I do when I drive motorbike in forest and my footage has got many small details? Can I do something wen I render go pro video?
In my opinion the only thing you can do to get the best quality is to shoot in 4k and render in 4k
If I render the video in 4K which frame rate I need to use?
@@MountMediaChannel that barely helps (I use GoPro 8). The footage still looks really bad when uploaded to UA-cam.
Nice vid 🙂👌
What I can do for the pixelated footage on Go Pro 7?
Buy more pixels
What's the best sharpness for 8 black
Sharpness low and then add some sharpness in post
@@MountMediaChannel but I do mate on video pad
thanks for the tips
How to set high auto resolution of GoPro Hero 8 in youtube?
Just export and upload in 4K
@@MountMediaChannel do I need to use app to export and upload this in 4k
