Thank You Very Much! I bought the GoPro Hero 7 Black and Hero 8 Black in 2020, and I hadn't had much time to experiment around with them. In the recent days I was trying to figure out how to access protune with the Hero 8 black. I also have the Hero 5 Black, and accessing protune on that camera was very easy. I think you can imagine the difficulty I had trying to figure out how to access protune on the Hero 8. I didn't have to go very far into your video to get my question answered. Unfortunately, the user manual did not indicate how to find protune. I greatly appreciate your very helpful presentation of information!

Super helpful video. Took my GoPro out riding some trails on my motorcycle and the auto exposure was killing me as I went in and out of wooded sections when the sun got bright. That and it looked like I was going extremely slow, so I might mess with the shutter speed and ND filters.

Thanks. Didn’t know about the Mic setting. I ride a motorcycle and get a lot of wind noise. I’m going to test out the wind setting and see if it makes a difference.

Thanks, I was filming in the fog at dawn and managed some film but pretty grainy so I think I'll try setting the upper and lower iso at the same level see if that helps. Once it is daylight it manages pretty well although at one point the camera froze up so I had to change the battery. Trials. Thank

Great informative video on protune settings on the GoPro hero 7 black. I’m definitely a beginner with GoPros so this was very helpful! If I’m shooting mostly in sunny clear sky weather, would it still be good to leave the color temp in native mode or switch it to 5500k?

Flat uses a different curve, allowing more detail in shadows and highlights. That's the reason for using it.

How do you save the settings you've made?
Everytime I turn my GoPro back on the Protune setting is off and it all goes back to default.

Good luck managing the GoPro. I learned it is a POS, does not respond as well as the example in the video, and the camera fails and needs to be replaced annually. That's why they come out with a new version seems like every month.

I have a GP7 Black, i was biking on an afternoon, i noticed the footage has a bluish tint on it whenever i pass on a shaded area and turns warmer tint when exposed to sun..why is that? Is there any setting i missed?

The only thing I can think of is the memory. I had a similar problem with my session 5 Would randomly stop recording as soon as I put in a different memory card it was fine. You could also try formatting the memory maybe the file system has become corrupt. You can format it within the menu of the go Pro

When using an external microphone do you need to change any settings or the gopro will take care of the sound?

You were correct as soon as you plug in a microphone the onboard microphones are disabled and The external microphone will just work. Keep in mind you do have to use that microphone adapter that gopro sells
