I love the AMG GT - when I went to the local dealer to buy my E400, I nearly bought the wrong (right) car. That said, I think I would find the lack of opportunities to stretch its legs deeply frustrating - it’s rare to use the full 340bhp/700Nm of the E-Class. I do love, though, how the AMG looks, and that engine is to die for - every journey would be an event (albeit maybe a frustrating event). Congratulations on the subscription milestone - you’ve deserved it 💪
Congratulations on the 250K. Been watching your channel for nearly three years now. It was always good to watch but it has just kept improving as time has gone by and is now brilliant! Interesting review, the VED system is just crazy in the UK and is not as all well targeted but if that works to your advantage why not👍

On the GT costs, it will be fine in the first year or two but once you get to it being a bit elderly, discs will cost a bit, and insurance will be individual for everyone. It's a bit more expensive.
£1991 is quite a bit a year for a car that's almost brand new..

Very sweet ride, and your experience matches the reality for most well maintained modern sport cars. We have to keep in mind that when things go well, people don't share in the internet most the time, they just use it and that's it. They show up and share the experience when something goes horribly wrong, so the info out there is skewed towards bad experiences. Shit happens ofc but keeping up with the maintenance is probably all you will have to do until you get bored and eventually sell it.

Have watched your videos for years, I always check the latest one out even if I've got no interest in buying the car featured!
Definitely keep buying (and talking about) the cheaper cars, not just Citroen C1's but reasonable estates, hatchbacks etc. So many UA-camrs start out relatable but by their 3rd lambo half their subscribers are bored stiff.
That said it was interesting to hear about the realities of owning that Merc.

I've been binge watching/listening to your videos like crazy since I found your channel. Your voice is really pleasant to listen to. You could start a podcast easily and imo it would be really popular.
I'm in a middle of doing my driving licence and can't wait to get behind the wheel. I'm in early 30s, so it's going to be a bit tricky to decide what to go for as my first car. Seriously, for someone who's driven basically only bigger cars his entire life the Yaris is just a nimble and quick. And it's like the price on petrol went down 50% compared to my old car.

Question:
When you buy a trade vehicle (“I bought a cheap…”) how can you drive these cars around without displaying your trade plates? Or do you actually display them and remove them for the camera shots?
I follow rob and Chris from salvagebuilds too and rob always “snags” the cars for a couple of hundred miles before selling on.. I was under the impression that trade plates were for buying/selling/test drives/to-from MOT’s, repairs etc.
