Are you advocating hard start ups for reciprocating compressors, scrolls compressors or both and assuming in a NON-preventive maintenance? Scrolls always start unloaded by virtue of a check valve that keeps the spirals from rotating backwards for extended periods of time and prevents hot gas from flooding the low side when it cycles off. So even if the system pressures are unbalanced, the compressor is not. As such, low voltage conditions are not as big a factor and 521s should not be needed under normal circumstances= AGAIN SCROLL COMPRESSORS.
