- I am doing a beautiful hike on the northern Oregon Coast this time! Oswald West State Park is between Cannon Beach and Rockaway Beach. The Cape Falcon Trail is labeled as moderate at 4.5 miles round-trip and 580 feet of elevation gain! This beautiful hike takes you through a lush green forest and along the cliffs above the ocean! The hike ends at the stunning Cape Falcon Lookout!

Yes, once you get out of the desert you really have to account for the rain - especially in that area! Glad you are so flexible in your plans. That's one of the most important things I've learned over the years - allow yourself to be flexible in your travel plans. The ocean views at the end are just spectacular! So beautiful.
Yeah, I don't have to deal with too much rain or tree roots in the desert, that's for sure! Lol, but it's definitely worth the track because of the beauty of the coast! Thanks again, brother!
totally awesome! The views...to die for. So worth the roots...
Yes, I thought so! As long as I didn't die from those roots! Lol. Thank you so much, Nicole!
amazing coast views and that water is such a nice blue! great hike thanks for taking us along
Yeah, it was definitely a really beautiful coastal hike. The tree roots and the mud were a little bit of a pain, but it was totally worth it, obviously. Thanks for watching, my friend!
With all that lush green it look like it gets a bit of rain there and I hate tree roots on a trail, not nice at all and quite dangerous too. That trail could so easily be in the UK and with all that mud and rain, just like the UK now too! Nice views mind, especially over the coastal areas, brilliant view at the end, cheers Alan
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the tree roots, and yes, they can definitely be dangerous if you're not careful. So now I know what it feels like to hike in the UK on a muddy trail, lol . Thanks, Alan!
Great views for sure. Most times the more challenging trails have the best rewards!
👍👍
Yeah, this is the truth about difficult trails! Thanks for watching my friend!
Terrific hike video Eric. Those tree roots would have definitely put me off. Cheers!
Yeah, the tree roots did suck. But still an overall beautiful hike. Thank you so much for checking out this video!
Beautiful video. Thank you for sharing. 👍20
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I absolutely love Oswald!! There is so much right there. You did a beautiful job capturing the essence of this hike. Have you ever hiked up Neahkahnie Mountain right nearby? It’s another great one! Thanks, Eric, and take care always 😊
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the way I captured this hike. I have not done Neahkahnie Mountain, but this is definitely an area I need to return to and explore more! I will add it to my Alltrails list since you recommend it! 😉 Thanks again!
Thank you for the Views. The pacific coast is beautiful
You are very welcome, my friend, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
amazing amount of green almost jungle like, though exposed roots would be a hazard on the trail but in the end what beautiful views you got to see of the ocean
Yeah, it was a little bit of a struggle hiking this trail, but it was a beauty! I'm glad I get it, though, and I survived obviously, lol. Thanks, Craig!
Could be worse ... there's a small county park near me with quite a few tree roots, and I guess to warn people the county spray painted them orange! It looks just as bad as you'd imagine, and then some.
Oh wow, that does sound horrible! Yeah, that would be very unappealing if that was in a forest, especially! Thanks for sharing that!
