- This is a complete guide to Hug Point State Park, this State Park is located 5 miles south of #Cannon Beach on the #oregon coast. Watch the video to learn about the history of why this State Park is called Hug Point. Great at low tide to view #tidepools and get up close to the rock formations. There is also a #waterfall that you can easily climb to the top and stand in the creek as it flows over the edge. There are some great distorted colored rocks with caves that you can climb into and get great photo opportunities. In July the fog rolls in the morning and you can get great shots of the tide and fog rolling across the beach.

First of all I loved the name Hug point as if it is famous point for hugging. LOL. Good you share so many natural hikes and trails from many unknown and offbeat state parks.
