Very informative and entertaining video! Your plants look so healthy! Also, can you share your sunstrate recipe? About Hoyas - as of now, I don't have any Hoyas because I have heard they attract mealy bugs. Do you find that to be true? Thanks!🌴🙂
Hi! And thank you so much. Any plant can attract mealy bug but I havent experienced it at all with my hoya. I have had mealy on calathea, philodendron but so far not on any hoya. It does seem that root mealy though is particularly attracted to hoya, but again Ive never experienced it in my 3 years of having hoya. I dont think mealy bug should put you off. To be honest, Id prefer mealy over any other pest. Ive never had a plant die from mealy or had issues getting rid of it. I have a video on my substrate if you have a look 😊 i often buy premixed hoya mixes as well here in NZ when I cant be bothered and they usually include a range of substrates from soil, fern fibre, bark, pumice or perlite, coco coir, worm castings etc. But for my basic mix, I have a video on that 😊
A little late to the watch party but these are some really great tips! 🎉
