Can I use nail polish? I have a bunch of 1" pot. Is it really necessary to seal the outside when the inside is the only contact surface of soil and water.

Is the sealant food safe?

I think the crisping happens with begonias that prefer higher humidity and aren't getting it. Some of them really want terrarium conditions which is such a bummer 😕 your begonia collection is wonderful!

My brasil was growing smaller leaves when it needed to be repotted. Once I gave it a bigger pot and fresh soil, it's leaves started getting bigger again

@Paul. If you are using Terracotta pots because they ate cheaper than Concrete pots, make your own Concrete pots. They are simple to make, and you can make them tiny, or any size you desire. It feels great making your own pots. The only drawback is the weight of larger pots! Sealing the pots is so very important. Depending on the size, I would smaller pots Two coats. Larger pots Three coats.I hope this helps?!

You have a lovely collection! Fellow peperomia collector here-but they rarely love me as much as I love them. That variegated polybotra is gorgeous!! Have not seen those in the States, at least not in my State of Massachusetts 😂 Do have the incana, which is marvelous- those fuzzy leaves can't be beat! And it's an easy propagater, was petrified to chop it for the longest time, but when I did node cuttings in moss, they took off like champs! Will have a nice full pot soon. Thanks for sharing! 💚👏🏽🪴👏🏽💚

i just discovered your channel, I love your videos! the way my hoyas grow a lot is I put them under strong grow lights. My krimson queen wasn’t growing until I did that. I just suscribed 😊
