I remember when this came out and I thought it was different and catchy. Then I HATED it because they played it every 3rd song for what seemed like forever. Now hearing it back it is really good.
When Kid Rock hit rock bottom, he called Hank Jr for help. Hank Jr moved him to his ranch and kept him isolated on his land and from “Kid’s people” from reaching him. That’s when Kid fell in love with the Country life and, Hank helped him gain his independence in the industry.
Sheryl was a backup singer for Michael Jackson in the late 80's. Then she did a bunch of songwriting for various artists before moving into her solo career. "If it Makes You Happy", "Every Day is a Winding Road" are great. She also wrote and sang the opening song in the movie "Cars", though I don't know the title of that tune. Either way, she's absolutely incredible.
@setonhillstudios not sure if you noticed one of first lines Kid Rock was singing, they cut out a word I guess for UA-cam but it used to say word on radio when song 1st came out. It is “ I was fueling up on (long blank space) and whiskey”. The line is actually “I was fueling up on cocaine and whiskey”.
Sheryl doesn't really get enough props. She's just a natural singer and sounds great live. Plus she banged Lance Armstrong for awhile. LOL She's got some killer songs... I'd go with "Soak Up the Sun" or her version of "The First Cut is the Deepest." You won't go wrong with either. Love the channel! Keep up the great work! :)

A quick google will give you a list of her top twenty multi gold songs to start with. Not as young as she was, who is? She still tours { sell outs } and records. And yes she can sing. For a treat to start try -- -If It Makes You Happy = -did I say she can play a guitar? You have a lot of catching up to do but I love to watch your journey. Rock on and thanks.😎
Honestly, much of Kid's Rap and hard Rock is a bit too much for my taste, but his southern rock and more country influence is right in my wheelhouse. Both Kid and Sheryl's voice are matched perfectly with this duet and it's too bad they didn't do more together. A song and video you should check out of his is "All Summer Long".
