Sometimes those of us who have been “around” for quite some time just forget some of the ways to use our rulers! I know I do - so I snapped a few screenshots so my poor brain can remember - and yes, I do have these rulers - so,ethereal😁😁!!! Thanks Bonnie!

I got fed up with all the line drawing ,wasted fabric and squaring up in the latest ways of making flying geese so I was glad to find this video that uses the two of the first rulers that I ever bought . Thank you for such a well explained video on flying geese.

So many quilters have this ruler and have never used it, including me. This afternoon I am going to make some flying geese. Thanks Bonnie.

Thank you, that looks pretty easy. I have flying geese templates. I haven’t used them in forever, but I know they were very easy, kind of like yours. There are so many ways to make flying geese, and yours is a good contender. Thanks for showing us.

I know this is an older video but I have to say you explained things so my anglely challenged brain could understand!!! I do not know why this simple little thing should cause me such angst... but it does. But not anymore! I just "happened" to have both of the rulers you mentioned (in a ditched effort to make this flying geese thingie easier). Best explanation ever for the Easy Angle... but I noticed you kept saying your were lined up on the 2 mark on the Companion Ruler when in fact you were on the number 3. But no matter... for my brain I will just add a number and it'll all be good! Thanks again! I have saved you to my Fav Quilting Videos and will reference it frequently as I try to understand this piecing process. Not sure why flying geese cause me such trouble. I do a lot of paper piecing and I can do hst's all day long with excellent results. Just one of those things I guess! Thank you so much... again!

OMG Bonnie ive watched this video 3 times and today while looking in my “ruler drawer” i found both of these rulers in there! It was like Christmas and I know i bought these in the late 80s when i started quilting cuz i was in the “collection” mode of books and rulers cuz the packages are unopened and priced at 6.95 for the easy angle and 10.95 for the companion. So thank you for saying the names of the tools you are using so we can relate to them personally and giving us a hands on lesson.

I watched this once after I got the rulers, but now that I am in the process of sewing 200 flying geese and have made a few I decided to watch again. The flipping of the ruler is key as that is where I was having a problem! I am glad I watched it again!

Years ago I used this method of making flying geese and I have come back to it. I love all the Easy rulers and its a pity not all are available any more - I lost my favourite junior Easy ruler.

I have four Easy Angle rulers but I never thought to make Flying Geese (that have no waste!) I mostly just use them for sewing binding. I can't wait to try this. Now to find that Companion Angle ruler!

I have had these rulers for years sitting in my drawer....recently pulled them out then found this video! I am so tired of the easy methods that really aren't easy with the extra steps of trimming. So I am off to the sewing room to see if this method makes the units accurate without the waste! Thanks for the excellent videos!

ty Ms Hunter, I have watched about 6 videos before on the flying geese, (I love them) and I stumbled across this today, while watching an EZ angle video. Ive had the three sizes of rulers in my sewing room for over 20 years and never take them out. I'm doing a swap of HST and I am going right now to play with these long lost cousins. thanks for showing me the companion. I know that I will enjoy my Flyers better without the stitch and flip and cut method.

Awesome, this is the best way to make flying geese that I've ever seen. I'm looking forward to using these rulers in the class Miss Bonnie is teaching our guild next month. She is by far one of the best teachers I have ever had the pleasure to take classes from. PS: Thank you for thinking of us lefties!

Fabulous demo, thank you! I bought these to do the Easy Street mystery and I'm so glad I did. These rulers make so many different sizes of pieces I know they'll be used in MANY more projects. In fact, I already used them to make some Farmer's Wife Sampler blocks...little 1x2" geese :)

Thanks again for your tutorials . I found the rulers I had purchased earlier...You made it so easy for accuracy and me to use them. I got Quiltmakers magazine with 100 blocks. Wow.....your block will be great for baby quilt. Thanks for keeping me in spired. I thought I had rulers but if not would purchase from you. Next time. Gloria Schleh from Missouri.
