@@alanperkins2558 thanks! Appreciate the video. I’ll really enjoy having the weather station, I’m sure; just got it but have had similar one in past. Just wish the humidity could register below 10% as ours goes lower during dreaded Santa Ana weather conditions. I’ll still need to rely on my iPhone & NWS reports.
Hey Susie, we truly do hope you enjoy your new weather station. Hey@@sallyplourde9612, our apologies for the trouble. In addition to those basic reset instructions, your sensor has a small TX button located above the batteries. Press this after you have the power restored to both the sensor and display. This should force a transmission and connect your sensor almost instantly. However, if this does not work, there's a very good chance a replacement sensor will be needed. You can find this replacement here: www.lacrossetechnology.com/products/tx141th-bv3 -- If your item is still under our 1-year warranty, please reach out to our support staff directly here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport and we'll gladly have a replacement sent out at no cost. Hi so my girlfriend owns this model but the outdoor temperature keeps saying 158 or 38 degrees and now it's all over the place. Is there a fix? Also humidity gets stuck on either 9% or 51%. Other than that good weather station.
Very strange. First, we recommend resetting the unit following the steps at the 18:11 timestamp in this video. Be sure to use a new set of regular alkaline batteries in both the station and outdoor sensor. If issues persist, please message our support staff directly here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport. Or alternatively, send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook page for further assistance. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.
my in door Temp is way off. I have compared it to two other thermometers one dig the other analog. I moved the La Crosse to different locations to see if that made a difference and it did not. The La Crosse is reading 6 degrees higher than the other two. Is there a way to re calibrate the indoor reading. Thanks
Hey Jeff, unfortunately, the display and sensor will come pre-calibrated from the factory and there is no way to perform manual adjustments on them. The best way to tell if your calibration is off, would be to perform a side by side test with your outdoor sensor. Our video here: bit.ly/inaccurate_temp_readings talks about this in terms of your outdoor readings being off, but this test will work both ways. After this test, if the readings are off by more than 4 degrees, this is definitely an issue, and you will want to contact our support team here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport. However, if your temperature readings are within this range, the item is considered to be within tolerance and working correctly. This S85814 station uses an industry standard tolerance range of +/- 2°F compared to the actual temperature, thus the possible 4 degree difference between display and sensor reading. We apologize for any trouble and hope this helps answer your question and/or point you in the right direction.
@@lacrossetechnology +/- of 2 degrees is considered by the "industry" to be acceptable? What industry? Does that include the scientists performing research on climate change and global warming? No wonder the right wing American Fascists have their knickers in a knot. If the readings are off by a range of 4 degrees, why bother worrying about global temperature rise of 2 degrees...ha ha ha. I have Weather Station model s85814. I have watched the UA-cam and as a result have a question about the sensor. I have been trying for 4 days to get a live person on the phone who could address my questions. No call back. How can I get to speak with a real person who can answer my questions about the Sensor?
Hey Roland, I already gave up trying to get an actual person I could speak with. You're not really missing that much, cause when you do get somebody, it's someone either from India or the Philippines. I called my bank the other day and got someone who has English as his fourth language. Statistically speaking, calling Canadian Revenue, you have a 25% chance of getting called back when you leave a message asking for a call back. With all the spam going on, I think it's great, because If I do get an email or a call from the government, I just tell them not to call me or email me because I think it's some scam from Nigeria. If they want to talk to me, they know my address, and can stop by anytime for a cup of coffee.

More companies should make videos like this for their products. Funny, he says that "the main unit takes three 'AAA' batteries", however the main unit takes 'AA' batteries and that is what he puts in it; and in the troubleshooting section, he pulls 'AAA' batteries out of it...
no, three 'AA' batteries is what the main unit takes, not 'AAA'... and the remote requires two 'AA'. I did research on a lot of your color units, and did notice, a lot of the main units do take 'AAA', but not this one...
I don't understand how people can be posting positive reviews, unless LaCrosse is being dishonest and posting them. I bought this unit a while ago and it has NEVER worked. LaCrosse actually replaced it twice and it worked for a little while. Yesterday it read 96 degrees outside and it was actually 77. Now it reads 80 and it's actually 60. Why not just speak normally without the distraction of those horrible inflections and out of balance cadence. Just grow up and use a normal adult voice.
If this presentation is 'professional' , LaCross overpaid. I have just changed all of my batteries and still can't get the Outdoor temps/humidity. I've watched the video and I've not found the info I need yet. Could it be that my sensor control is bad?

How do you keep the light on? We have the wireless color forecast station model 308-1416V3 DC 072020?
Hey Cindy, for a constant (and adjustable) backlight, please be sure you're powering the main display with the provided power cord. Batteries will keep it running, but are meant primarily for backup purposes and will only allow the backlight to come on for about 10 seconds at a time. More specifics are covered in our other video here: ua-cam.com/video/3DZnBDy_bfc/v-deo.html
can you set it to the lights on the display to be on at all times?
I'm having trouble setting up the app on my Android phone. What do I put in for Location and does it matter what I name it? Also having trouble connecting to Wifi. Keeps asking for PW but never WHICH wifi to connect to. Suggestions?

Appreciate the video. I’ll really enjoy having the weather station, I’m sure; just got it but have had similar one in past. Just wish the humidity could register below 10% as ours goes lower during dreaded Santa Ana weather conditions. I’ll still need to rely on my iPhone & NWS reports.
Hey Susie, we truly do hope you enjoy your new weather station. I just purchased this weather station (S85814v2). It looks the same as one purchased a year ago or so. Sorry but I don't have the model number at this time. The "Sun" seems to be confused on my unit--it lights up at night but is blacked out during day light. Shouldn't it be just the opposite?
The sun symbol is shown as part of the tomorrow forecast window not current time window. When the sun is showing at night, that would indicate sunny or partly sunny tomorrow.
What’s the lowest the humidity can go? Just a question
Our S85814 model featured here can accuratly show relative humidity data between 10%-99%RH, though it may be possible to see values drop below that 10% mark if in extremely dry climates. More details can be found in this item's full manual and FAQ documents here: www.lacrossetechnology.com/products/S85814#support
I have followed the directions for resetting the unit numerous times and still the remote temperature shows only 2 lines. I have unplugged, removed batteries, pressed button 20 times, waited 15 minutes and then start it up and no remote temp shows.

This is for model S88907
Hey@@sallyplourde9612, our apologies for the trouble. In addition to those basic reset instructions, your sensor has a small TX button located above the batteries. Press this after you have the power restored to both the sensor and display. This should force a transmission and connect your sensor almost instantly.
However, if this does not work, there's a very good chance a replacement sensor will be needed. You can find this replacement here: www.lacrossetechnology.com/products/tx141th-bv3 -- If your item is still under our 1-year warranty, please reach out to our support staff directly here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport and we'll gladly have a replacement sent out at no cost. my in door Temp is way off.
Cheers.

Hi Roland, our support team is quite busy this time of year and we apologize for the wait times. As for your question, what is it?

Hi Shirley, sorry for the delay and confusion with your weather station’s power cord. First, for a constant backlight, the power cord must be used.
