      So the Current Conditions on the display takes its reading from the 1st wireless remote sensor and the Extra Sensor on the display gets its info from the 2nd remote sensor?

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology  2 роки тому +1

      @@harleyhoracio1 Correct, you'll want to have the main temp/humidity sensor mounted outside in a protected shaded location for best results. Additional sensor data will share the Extra Sensor area with your barometric pressure reading. These can be set to display the pressure, a specific add-on sensor, or auto-scroll between all extra sensor and barometric pressure values. Pages 19-21 of the manual: bit.ly/v16_manual and page 6 of our FAQ document: bit.ly/v16_faq go over these in more detail as well.

    I can't say enough about the value of my La Crosse Technology weather station. From my phone, I monitor everything from the humidity levels of my guitars and cigars, to the temperatures of my fridge and freezers. The other day I was a mile from home and got an alert: Freezer Warm. I turned around, went home and found the freezer door open. I'd have come home to wrecked food!

      Hey Greg, thanks for the comment. We are thrilled that you're enjoying your weather station and that your add-on sensor was able to help save the food in your freezer! That is exactly what our modular La Crosse View devices are designed to do, help keep you informed about the conditions around your home. 😊

    So to confirm besides the single sensor that came with the display I can add 4 more sensors that will show on the display but the LaCrosse View app is not limited to 4 more? That means I can add 5 more sensors but only 4 would be displayed on the display but all 5 would additional be shown in the LaCrosse View app? Thanks.

      @@lacrossetechnology so I got my 4 temp/humidity and 1 water/temp sensors. I added the sensors to the app manually. I see the 4 temp humidity sensors on the monitor display but not seeing the status on the app. Also I added the water sensor and know it can't show ont he display but dont see its status either in the app. What am I doing wrong or forgetting to do?

    • @imanirk
      @imanirk Рік тому

      OK your tech support may have fixed it as of today suddenly the monitors are showing status. But unsure if its because I readded them to the app or the referral to your tech support had to do something for each sensor id I added within your database/system to activate them to the app. In any event thanks. But also your app has some alert section bugs. The leak sensor notifiation remains on PER INSTANCE only no matter how many times I save it, recreate it, etc.. And across the notification sections of i.e. temp sensors the notification function is inconsistent. In general the PER INSTANCE is good for 1 time alert assuming the alert feature is ON. But then if Daily or Hourly is selected additionally that alert frequency should occur beyond the first detection. This is what your leak sensor alert section seems to try to do but with the above bug. The temp sensor does not have the same alert variations. Make them all consistent with the leak sensor variations and fix the leak sensor bug.

    I really can't get mine to connect to wi-fi. It worked once than didn't work ever again. I tried it through the app and it said "please wait while we prepare your device for this account." It's been stuck in this state for 18 hours. I'm starting to think it's defective.

      Once successfully connected to Wi-Fi and with the correct credentials (country & postal code) entered in your La Crosse View account for the station, you should start seeing updated forecast data on the display within the next 15 minutes. In regard to forecast info in the app, please note, La Crosse View is not a weather forecast application, it was designed to work as a companion to our connected weather stations and sensors, and its primary focus is to provide measurable data from these devices. At this time, forecast information is limited to our connected in-home displays only.

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology  Рік тому

      Our first suggestion would be to try pressing the FORECAST REFRESH button. This should force the unit to search for the latest forecast updates. If you're seeing dashes for outdoor temp and humidity, this would indicate your outdoor sensor is not synced with your display. Please review our other video here: bit.ly/lcv_restart for info on resetting the system and having it search for your outdoor sensor. If you should need further assistance, please message our support staff directly here: bit.ly/contact_techsupport. Or alternatively, send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook page. Our team is here to help in any way we can, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

And yes I have hit the extra center spot button.

      We do apologize for any delay with our normal support chain, this is a busy time of year. As for getting the Breeze Pro sensor synced with your V16 display, are you using other add-on sensors as well? If so, please note that the display can only show data for up to 4 add-on sensors (plus a rain gauge) in its Extra Sensor area. So, if you have more than this, you'll need to go in and manually remove a different sensor on the display. Instructions for this can be found on page 6 of our V16 FAQ document here: bit.ly/v16_faq -- NOTE: It is possible the display may have picked up sensors from neighboring homes. Bringing your sensor inside next to the display and spinning its wind cups can help to ensure it picks up that sensor when it is searching. We are sorry again for any inconvenience, if you should need further assistance you can also send us a private message on our Facebook: bit.ly/LaxTech_Facebook or Twitter: bit.ly/LaxTech__Twitter page.

      I was initially surprised by this too. Through tech support I learned the advantage of 2.4g. The signal travels farther and the amount of data being transmitted is so tiny, 5g isn't necessary. I had the phone company walk me through how to temporarily disable the 5g during setup. It was super easy.

    So I got this weather station V16, but today we had a power failure. The weather station still kept Wi-Fi. But then I noticed 2 hours later my weather station shows “NO WEATHER SERVICE”. I unplugged it then plugged it back in and wi-fi came back to life. I find it odd how wi-fi would randomly disconnect 2 hours after a power failure.

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology  Рік тому +1

      Our apologies for the confusion here. The NO WEATHER SERVICE message is actually an indication that the unit simply lost connection with AccuWeather, not your home WiFi. These cases should resolve on their own, but you can always press and release the FORECAST REFRESH button to sync them back up faster.

    Why does barometric pressure show, I dont want this. Better if it showed indoor and outdoor. Also my 2nd mini station does not display the same temps as the main station. This is all very confusing and I'm a masters graduate.

    • @lacrossetechnology
      @lacrossetechnology  Рік тому

      Our sincere apologies for the confusion. Barometric pressure and trend arrows for it are shown as they are key indicators for helping determine your weather to come, a popular request from many weather enthusiasts. As pointed out at the 6:10 timestamp in this video, your indoor and outdoor data points share the same section on the LCD; initiating the Auto-Scroll option (using the IN/OUT button) will allow them to flip back and forth every few seconds. And it is not unusual for there to be a slight variance between indoor temperature values from different displays. Our other video here: bit.ly/inaccurate_temp_readings will help walk you through a side-by-side test to confirm.

      @lacrossetechnology  Рік тому

      Hey Ethel, we do apologize for the inconvenience. The power cord is required not only for the V16's Wi-Fi connection capabilities but also for all of our current color LCD models. The backlight would drain batteries far to quickly to be useful. If Internet weather data and the use of our mobile app are not a concern, we do offer many non-color models that run off of batteries alone. Something like our 308-1417V2: www.lacrossetechnology.com/products/308-1417v2 -- 327-1417BW: www.lacrossetechnology.com/products/327-1417bw -- or 328-96087: www.lacrossetechnology.com/products/328-96087 would all be great choices.
