- Version 3.5 of my 3d printed prosthetic finger design. The model is open-source (free) and available here on thingiverse, in case you've also misplaced a finger or know someone who has.

I just look at these coz their cool but man, the comments make me feel so lucky to have all my fingers in tact. i feel for y'all, but y'all tough af, adapting and shit.
Thanks! It's pretty cool having a robot finger too, but many have it tougher than me.

@@EpicMind500 it was non-elective. I had an accident with a table saw at work. I ended up with the same stump as in this video.

I'm missing 3 fingers on my left hand and I was wondering if you could create 3 fingers for me? What's the cost? I was born this way, I've adapted to this lifestyle but am willing to try a new one as well. It might help me with daily work.
Enrrique Ayala if you look up the files for this, you should be able to have it 3d printed at a public library or from a local maker, it’s fairly small and 3d printing is super cheap so it should only be a few bucks (edit: he’s got the files in the description of the video)

Whenever you get angry at someone, you can just take the prothesis off an hand it to them and literally give them the finger.

How strong is it for every day use? How often do you need to reprint replacement parts? What type of filament are you using for your prints?

@@helamanavalos9806 heck yeah. I made a number of improvements on it, and tested it with a friend who's regularly using it now. Within e-NABLE Hub I'm preparing to release the new version as well, and I've used it for a Fusion360 tutorial too. I suppose I should also make a video like this too

Now I remember that scene in the new Robocop movie.
I lost the top portion of my fretting index as well when I was 15 and playing guitar made up 95% of my identity. Try learning a bit of guitar without the prosthetic. It's some of the best rehab you can do for that finger to get it toughened up so it isn't as sensitive all the time and more useful for the rest of life. Also, some fingerings become more difficult but you'll end up gravitating towards a sound that's unique and built out of necessity and utility. All of that being said, I'm really excited to get one of these made to try out!
@@HansyPants184 I lost (amputation) the top portion (distal phalange) of the middle finger (fretting hand as well). Have you found a device/prosthetic that has helped you in playing guitar?
