He paid 13k and didn't ask whose medal it was? Some people have more money than sense
I guess he got gold fever...
yes for all we know it could belong to Boris Nebulovakov a Russian weight lifter from the bowels of Siberia lol
greenjedi8 it definitely wasn't handed to any athlete and isn't made of real gold so Coreys $10k offer was way too much😂
Oh there's real gold in it, just not full solid gold. But you never know about the athlete, it could have been handed to someone then passed on through the collector's market. But you simply just don't know without more information and history.
Dumbest Asian I've seen
0:05 most awkward opening interaction
He fried him lol
blackpilled
I did some google research and apparently there's a lot of evidence to suggest that this medal was won famously by Mr.Brown.
Constantine A got me
Lame 😒
I usually get a little annoyed by Mr. Brown jokes because they are all not original at all, but this one was a good joke. Bravo.
Lol one of the best Brown comments I’ve come across so far. Bravo 👏🏼👏🏼
Cruz Majeno I don’t get it. Who is Mr. Brown?
What a lame joke at the start
lol I thought it was great. Just shows the show ain't super pc like every god damn thing is today.
You got me cracking up
Blue collar Gold pockets Of course you would’ve
Just a lame reaction
Musicrecords10 yes and very immature
Kurt angle won a gold medal with a broken freakin neck
xANGELo PLAYZONE no that was Chris benoit bro
Nah he didn't.. The WWE is fake as fuck, they make shit up about everything.
No he did win a gold medal with a broken freakin neck ya stupid idiot.
Lmfao
@@greyk610 he did this.
Imagine going to pawn stars just to get roasted by Corey
How do you just blindly drop $13K on what could very well be a Sample Medal?
I would expect something as prized as an Olympic gold medal would have some kind of marking of uniqueness on it. A number of sorts.
The guy know for real it’s real medal because he must have seen one before, hence offering $10k. Look, pawnshop ain’t stupid, for stuffs that they sure they know the real value, they’d throw 30-50% offer of the item actual value. If the guy isn’t sure, but know it worst above something, they’d offer 10-20% of the potential selling amount. That’s how pawnshop make money. And these guys from pawn star is one of the biggest player around.
"I'm gonna go home and do some more research..." You should have done that BEFORE you dropped 13K on it.
shouldn't have told him what you paid for it. that hurt him in negotiations.
Yea but I think corey is a really honnest guy, not as rick, who would give him 1,500 $ lol
How so?
He paid less that 13,000 and said the paid 13,000. Helped the negotiation
Or maybe he didn't even want to sell. Might have been looking for free research from the Shop.
"Is there any way to find out?"
You are the owner, why are you asking him? You should have known that already.
because if he knows a "buddy" that might have a idea and save the man alot of research.
He didn't get a gold medal in purchasing. Il Caveat Emptor.
"I'm having a heart attack, dial 911."
"The best I can do is 411."
Boaz V 😂😂
And he’s taking a huge risk there
I wouldnt take a loss either. Find a gold winner of that year and have them sign it. Was fun to watch. Great video
That would be fraud if you're passing it off as their winning medal
Seller: is there any way we should find out who won the medal?
Dude you literally spent $13K on a medal.. Jesus dude
The seller sounds like that annoying know-it-all kid from the Polar Express
If Corey offers 10k it’ll be worth 20-25k
Nope. Only worth that much if you knew who won it. If no one won it and it was just a display piece, then it's worth 10k.
@@LordDavid04 hes being sarcastic. Because Corey lowballs harder than Rick
@@skimbeeble6143 How is it a lowball? It's about the price for an uninspiring Seoul 1988 Olympic medal.
Yeah, definitely worth more than 13k if fat Corey offered him 10
You don't get rich by spending money you don't have to!
"Obviously you didn't play for the basketball team"
"I could take you to the hoop, Fat Boy"
Stfu 😂😂😂
“Obviously you didn’t play for the basketball team”
That wasn’t judgemental.
he's looks in his 20s-30s so makes sence
Lol
Oh boo hoo 😂😂 he judged him big deal, its true. Cry babys what's happened to the world.
Do you think he played on the basketball team?
@@holasoyalejandro9822 He's also like 5'6"
For me, $ 10K is a good offer for a Olympic medal.
Does research:
Found out it's worth 7,000
Why would anybody sell a gold medal? It's the greatest symbol of athletic achievement.
Silver Valley Coins and Bullion if you need money things become less valuable. Putting food on the table or not losing your home is more important
The 3D Printing Corner your a wise man (no sarcasm)
coke
There have been documented cases of a lot of athletes from impoverished countries who died penniless. Sports don't pay all that much all throughout the globe. No wonder only the rich nations get the most medals all the time.
This is like the holy grail of Olympic gold medals
Jayy Zee how when nobody knows who it belonged to
angelopetrozzi44 petrozzi lmao he’s just messing around, the term holy grail is often used in pawn stars hahah
What happens is that the young man he heard that some were sold one for eighty thousand dollars, and at least
He retract and said the right thing
“ I better find out more about the medal before releasing the medal.
🤞👍👍👍👍
Paid too much at 13k??? He's offering 10k and will be asking between 15-20k.. bahahaha
Actually he did. It's worth that much or more if you could pin it to an athlete or at least a winning team sport and nation.
Finally a seller who didnt settle for their greed, good for him!
No way he should take that offer. Corey knew he would sell it close to 20k at least. Otherwise he would not offer 10k. So this guy can find someone who is going to pay that price for it.
greed.lol.do you know anything about business
+MultiJejje What you and michael Naranjo don't understand is....it's a business, and they need to be able to make a profit. If they buy & sell for the same price, the business will fail. Corey could probably sell it for $13k.
13k? Give me a break. Like I said, close to $20k is what he would get.
+MultiJejje If Corey could sell it for $20k, he would have offered more than $10k. It's not worth a fortune if you don't even know if the medal was handed-out to anyone.
Bullied the poor guy from the beginning
Dang Corey that was racist.
Does Cory always insult his clients?
It definitely threw the guy off tho
"so where'd you get it?"
no
"So where'd you gt it, obviously you didn't play for the basketball team."
"Obviously you haven't played for any team, ever."
Corey didn't call an expert, so he knows what it's worth.
I used to live in Northern Washington and had a junk/antique/pawn shop. I had a friend/customer named Igor Volkov that had a Gold Medal for wrestling...for the soviet union. Their team was visiting Canada and he got hurt and went to the hospital. He met a nurse there and snuck out and went to her apartment. He sobered up about 10 days later with everyone looking for him from the KGB to the Mounties. So he drove down to the tv station and formally defected, He wresteled big time for many years (videos on youtube) and retired in Vancouver. He used to drive down and park his Van at my store. He'd come in and pour half of a 2 liter bottle of Canada Dry down the sink. Then he'd take a Liter of Stolichnaya 100 proof Vodka and fill the Canada dry bottle back up. Then he'd fill 2 7-11 big gulp containers with hei evil concoction and slide me one along with 4 or 5 Valiums. "You Drink!" so I drank. After a bit he might get melancholy and pull his gold medal out and stare at it. He was totally wasted once and gave it to me...of course I returned it when he sobered up. Understand...he didn't ask for it back but I insisted. He said it had a lot of bad memories...I think it was from Munich.
LOL @ Corey talking like he knows all about it, it wasn't a bag of meth.
I will give you 3.5 dollars and a chewing gum but I am taking a risk here.
NeverLucky
Wow, that's very original.
Lmfaooooooooooo “obviously you didn’t play for the basketball team”...”no”
A gold medal is not the same as a championship trophy.
A championship ring would've been a better comparison to a gold medal.
an entire team gets rings, even players who don't play..There's only ONE gold medal, won buy the individual or team of participants who directly contribute...its the highest honor in its category...a championship trophy is the highest honor...rings are even given to the medical staffs...
Awesome!! Just like my video's ;) Thumbs up!!
Man why that rebone is made from east germany flag
If he wants more details on that gold medal...I suggest asking Mr. Brown! He famously competed in, and won, many sporting events in his day!! He's the man to ask, and I'm shocked this dummy didn't realize that!
I remember the Olympics in 1988 rather well - This is when the doves caught on fire during the torch lighting ceremony -
In season 7 of episode 29, an air watch was shown on History Channel. This watch is hazardous to health, as it uses a continuous radioactive light meter on the hands and numbers.
You can search the Internet for "Radium Girls" and you will understand. If the light mass on the arrows and numbers has a mustard color, then it is most likely radioactive. Use a dosimeter when purchasing such devices. Safe light has a light green color.
Take care of yourself!
Sorry, i'm used "Google Translate" Russian to English :)
Hi to the random people who comment here
hello
Salut!
Herrow!
Wouldn't every Olympic medal be engraved with the event and athlete it was awarded for? Surely they don't just hand out blank medals to everyone?
They're blank when you first get them, they do the engraving later. So this medal was probably never awarded to anyone.
wow mr famously is brown
The Holy Grail of American coins shits all over Mr. Brown.
I actually like Corey in this episode. Normally I can't stand the guy
I don't know why you pat $10,000 for that, you would have to tell all the lookers I don't have a story
First mistake - telling the shop how much you paid for it. Second mistake - asking if you paid too much. You've started setting yourself up for a 5 dollar Mickey D's gift certificate already. But at least you had the good sense to hold on to it.
This guy was a horrible negotiator. He was so scared and timid. Corey was able to run right over him.
Prices are pre negotiated. The seller was nervous to be on tv. The producers coach both parties to make it “interesting” for viewers. I know people that work on the show. Don’t believe everything you see.
jim LEHMN oh yeah I know it’s predetermined. I just like to watch the show like it’s real for entertainment purposes dude lol. Suspension of disbelief 😊
Kim yung uns little nephew
Ghost Certified I saw what you did there
the negotiating is fake
Young people don’t learn..you need the paper work and history of the 🥇.to prove..the history of the 🥇 is real..some people don’t use the 🧠.
Tells him I payed 13 for it but I want 18 ok 🤣😂😭 don’t even know who medal it is
He really must’ve paid 13k for it .. cause if it was fake he would’ve ran for the hills with the 10k .. ..but weird you buy a sports item like this without asking who’s is it .. simple question .. smh 🤦♂️ ... and getting some type of paper work .. ..dude must have decent money 💰
He don't know who won it? Really? Just Google Olympic games 1988 and you'll find out who won the gold
they do not know what event it was for
I did some research why is this being recommended to me?
I heard this medal is made for Mr.Beast, he was actually born in Seoul, 1988.
Ya I don't like corey
What you mean? He offered a pretty good price on it lol
This could have been the Gold Medal for Boxing that the corrupted Korean referees stole from Roy Jones .....
Corey: Do you mind me asking how much you paid for it?
Me: Yeah. It's kinda unprofessional.
"A person told me there is an American flag on the moon, and I'm gonna go check it out."
"Just give me 5 minutes I'll call a friend down here, he literally lives right behind that crater"
Too bad it wasn't one of the holy grails of American Medals
jordans 1992 dream team medal would be nice
$10,000 wasn’t bad for not even knowing who’s medal it was
An Olympian who sold their gold medal for 13K must be desperate for money!
So where'd you get it? You obviously didn't play on the basketball team.
That's racist. 😶
I think this won by chum lee's
Is the longest pubic hair events.
This guy looks like he was smart af in high school
smart af in high school doesn't mean smart in real life.
33 people won gold he said...find out who they were and start makong calls to them to see if they still have theirs...lol
33? There are probably more than that for track and field alone.
Seoul 1988 Olympics .... The famous Olympics when Korean officials bribed the Boxing judges to give the gold medal to the Korean Boxer who literally got destroyed by Roy Jones Jr, to the point that the Korean even apologized to Roy after the fight and wrote a book where he said "the government stole my SILVER medal" .... The story repeated for the Soccer World Cup 2002 with Korea-Italy and Korea-Spain that are considered the most shameful games ever (even worse than some Real or Barca games in UCL).
Lesson learned : never organize a sport event in such a corrupted country as South Korea.
Mr brown won more medals than the countries in attendance
Did Corey say only 36 gold medals were handed out at the 88 Olympics?!
He means to America. They won 36 Gold.
Gawd. Dude was a baaaad negotiator. Never tell them what you paid and never go "is that it is can you come up". Control the price. Give numbers
The Olympics represent the best humanity can be in terms of sporting events and sportsmanship. It is and forever will be the biggest and most important sporting events in the history of mankind.
The Ryder Cup wishes to disagree.
The football World Cup is the biggest single sporting event by a mile. And it has more viewers than the Olympics.
@@terrypeart3875 Terry the World Cup is 10 times bigger than the Ryder Cup It's not even close.
Wow! Corey's racism and stupidity straight outta the gate! As a true Pawn Stars fan I can honestly say that Corey is the worst part about this show! He literally comes after the "magician expert."
Should have just made up a story! Corey’s stupid! He’d have bought it
- Where’d you get it??
- “NO”
You sure it's a Gold Medal and bot a Bronze Medal? Coz the color looks like Bronze to me lol
Basketball team? 1988 The basketball team did not win a gold medal. I thought they were talking about a bronze medal the whole time
It's a thick pure copper not to expensive waste of money.
Don’t buy and sale not your thing
ben johnson 100m - he wouldn't give his back
google search: whos gold medal do I have?
What next? Nobel prize?
If you 18k start with 28k and negotiate him to come to 18 or 17 k lol these fools
Corey probably was a slug at anything athletic in his life.
Mr Brown famously won a gold medal in the 1988 Olympics.
Its not worth that moneywithout the story attached to it. 13K, What a joker!
This is henry cejudo's gold medal.
Come on man.... Triple c wears his olympic gold medal even on the shower.. He would never lose it or sell it. Like never hehhe
He paid $13k and he didn't know the athlete or story behind it
He engraved usain bolt on it and sold it for 193k
Most delusional pawn stars guest ahaha
Why is coreys handshake so awkward 😂
Omg i really dont want to be mean, but yeah i think this all the time. Why does he have to swing his arm out like that?
Take it home and make up a good story behind it .
Yes buy it for 10k and sell it for 30 k
Obviously you didnt play basketball
The gold medals are not even pure gold....
Mom drove him to school till he was twenty
Gonnnggggg!
Corey is so rude... "well obviously you never played for the basketball team" I know some of you guys are thinking " get some sence of humor it's just a joke" but I understand it's a joke, but it's a toxic joke...PS:pawn stars make the worst deals.
I know this guy. He was looking for a quick flip, free research, or publicity for the item. He later found who won the medal and sold it for a ton of money. It's worth $18K if you don't know the owner. I don't think he plays basketball, either.
"Obviously you didn't play for the Olympic basketball team lol!"
"No :-(" (And thank for bringing up such a painful subject)
The medal was thrown in the air and caught by Mr Brown himself.
I have 22 euro coins for sale how much sir one euro coins
Black red Yellowc(Schwarz rot gold) are the German Colours. Maybe from a German Athlet who changed it After he or she won it into National Colours.
