looks great, i have a rhinowares grinder and having to listen for the clicks when adjusting the grind size and be a bit tedious. also the cup at the bottom tends to wriggle off when grinding. might have to give this one a look.
I am always on the hunt for interesting products to sell. This grinder looks very interesting and has a few good points, like the low weight and the burr size and type. But that disc adding adjustment system and that trap door for adding beans looks like its very easy to loose those pieces and is a bit of a disaster waiting to happen.
It's certainly comparable in grind quality. The Lido's being Stepless Grinders are better for that adjustment mechanism but they're rather large grinders, so not as portable. They do make easier work of espresso grinding - although I didn't add this in the video, I believe the Fixie could grind fro espresso too no worries
@@AlternativeBrewing Thanks for the info. This video has been long anticipated.... Orphan is trying to reinvent hand grinders. You should also do a vid on the Apex!!!

Looks well, but adjustment with adding discs is for me more complicated then steps or clicks adjustment. And price is very very high. Is same as 9barista stove pot :-)
This is a great grinder! Another good one from Orphan Espresso.
We agree!

Duct tape and plastic washers from a milk jug.
I see many people worry about grinder door. I have Lido OG, the door is tight and not easy to loose. Just make sure it closed properly.
Thanks for the vid. How does the fixie compare to other orphan grinders such as the lido range?

Cost to much at $200. Better off with a $40 java grinder.
