These German Silent Drives are very quiet indeed, So here ya go.Now the,Hormann 7500 Garage Door Opener, is another story.It was made to compete with the ,Liftmaster 3850 Garage Door Opener, at the time,but it was more expensive,the battery was way more money and it had to be ordered? Order a garage door opener?At this day in age? MADNESS ! ! ! Well they have already DIS-CONTINUED the battery back up on the Hormann go figure.My opinion is buy the,Hormann 7500 Silentdrive Garage Door Opener, over the Hormann 5500 Silentdrive Garage Door Opener, it has more horse power, moves faster better warranty.
