- I have been trying out the Dynaudio Core 59 monitors for a while and I'm as impressed as frightened by them. Brutally detailed to what I'm used to which makes them a terrific tool like a magnifying glass for your mix.

I'm running 2 x Dynaudio Core 7's and one Dynaudio Core Sub. I'm not a pro and these are just for personal everyday use. They are revealing and when added with the Sub are brutal. I'm running in a 6m x 7m x 4.5m Vaulted ceiling ( otherwise know as my lounge ) and they don't have any issue totally filling the room. Running as AES. Kept an eye out for deals from BAX and paid pretty reasonable prices. In comparison to 'Pro Consumer' they are great value.... If you don't mind black !
I have ATC SCM45 pro here. Then at some time I could buy some Dynaudio BM12 from a bankruptcy. I am honestly surprised how good they are. They honestly sound more neutral than the ATC's. The ATC's are more detailed and wider though, better in the mid but that's normal, them being 3 way vs the 2 way Dynaudio. But I honestly use the BM12"s now as mains and the ATC as reference. Weird since I paid the BM12 only 1200 euro for the pair and the ATC's were around 11k!! If I'm honest, the ATC's are not worth that big of a price difference imo.
I never worked on ATCs. Don’t seem to be that common around where I’m located.
I have compared these to the 20 year old Air20s, and they are basically the same speaker! Sounds more or less exactly
the same. They are infact cheaper in $$$$ than the Air 20s were 2 decades ago.
Many people HATED the 20s, though, yet these seem to be really well welcomed. Strange how taste changes in 20 years.

For some reason it doesn’t seem like Dynaudio is going to NAMM this year, but that would be the wrong coast anyways. Or are you going?

What kind of monitor controller do you use? Or the monitors are connected to the mixer mon outs?
Yeah we have a monitor switcher on the console straight from the monitor out. If we’re going to use the digital inputs of the Core 59s we have make an A/D conversation again before hitting the monitors. We’re mixing on the console so it’s already out from digital to analog.
Do they fall apart at spirited volumes?
No they don't. Been using them for a few months now. They are awesome.
