- Dynaudio’s Core 47 and Core Sub are high-end studio monitors that have digital inputs and support up to 24-bit/192kHz signals.
The Core 47 sports a three-way speaker - a one-inch tweeter, a four-inch mid speaker and a seven-inch woofer - with class D amplification for a combined 1,150 watts. It extends all the way from 37Hz to 31kHz, and has three room correction settings to compensate for their placements in the studio.
The Core Sub is a matched subwoofer, powered by a 1,000-watt class D amp, whose four nine-inch woofers are able to handle frequencies all the way down to 13.5Hz - with a maximum SPL of 120dB.

I so wish I could afford these! They're beautifully made, and Dynaudio's attention to detail is unsurpassed. They make some of the best monitors for studio use, and hi-fi home listening. Truly superb!
This made me smile!
Great salesman. Need more like him.
I need the core sub and I need it now
he forgot to mention that the opposing woofers arrangement like in this sub reduces enclosure vibrations by a multiple of times using impulse compensation resulting in more precision and lower distortion.
So, are these better than the LYD48s?
larsaskogstad well, it isn’t a 100% increase in price, but okay
larsaskogstad no, you need to learn your maths.
larsaskogstad you legitimately haven’t even made a point. You’ve just stated that the CORE speakers are “100%” more expensive and are therefore implying that they’re better. You don’t have any sophisticated discourse, no technological knowledge or insight on frequency response, polarity, voltage or any remarkable feature that one speaker may have, that the other doesn’t (or isn’t as effective as its predecessor). Rather than being negative, why don’t you give me something insightful, I don’t want to hear about the price tag, I want to debate with someone that’s actually researched these monitors and can critique the LYD48s.
larsaskogstad you didn’t even read my response, you’re simply replying negatively because you’re too busy being confrontational, rather than giving me a technological answer. Pitiful.
larsaskogstad that’s more like it. No need to be confrontational, I appreciate the response, but I beg to differ. You’ve said that the 47s have higher resolution and more power delivery, you’re talking about a minimal increase, unless you’re a sonically tuned robot or a computer, you wouldn’t be able to hear the difference. This doesn’t make the Cores any “better,” it may just make them slightly more responsive. If you’re a sound engineer, you need to be purely scientific and factual. I’m also intrigued as to what extra “features” the cores have, could you give me some examples?
Im sure glad there is no pass radiation. That would have been a serious problem Lmao
