Nice video man! You should put it on the plastic and then soak it in water for 24 hours in warm and cold temps! That would be great!

I read quite a few comments on this subject that said once set and cured, it is nearly impossible to peel Flex Seal off a polyethylene kayak.
Some of those comments also said it didn't seem to stick all that well on PVC dry bags.

All the different things I tried seemed to get different feedback from different people. Maybe some have more oils in the plastics than others, or maybe the texture?

It won't work. It's not waterproof. Tried to patch a waterbed and it was a big fail.

It is waterproof, and it did work.! The texture just wasn’t too durable. 😉👍😊

My Hobie's hull is really soft. I should have put a keel guard on it.
Try two layers of flex tape?

Hey john kool video!...just liked n subscribed...I’m new to kayaking but made a pretty big purchase I bought a native propel slayer 10 and was wondering if this flex tape is a good idea for hull n keel protection or would u recommend something else. Thanks in advance

Thanks Sal! Nice kayak! The Flex Tape works, but isn’t indestructible. For the price, it’s probably the best option though. 👍

Idk from my experience the actual keep gaurds are just as thick if not a little bit thicker, 2 layers of tape fix that. And for the price of an actual keel gaurd of 190$ or more for a small roll of 12ft. Common lets be honest we all work hard and thats not the price someone can easily go yup im buying the keel gaurd today or tomorrow. BUT! You can do that with waterproof gorilla tape or flex, just sooo much more finacial friendly
