@@rogerbiggerstaff3293 that’s ok, we’ve never needed V/STOL anyway. And going straight with one version in production would overall bring down the per unit cost.
@@buckbuchanan5849the USMC (and UK, Italy, Japan, etc ...) would disagree with your assessment, and they're in a much better position to make that conclusion. Additionally, it doesn't matter how many F-35C are built, they will always be more expensive to acquire and maintain, than the F-35A.
@@rogerbiggerstaff3293 without a doubt the F-35B is more costly overall than an A or C model. The MTBF rates are incredible on the B compared to other normal concept airframes.
For those doing research for Custodian File, here's what I found in this film. 1:17 Near miss, possible turkey vulture?, 3:15 Seagull, UAP Dragons in the the following timecodes. 6:15 Bottom right in 7 frames. 6:55 bottom left in 5 frames. 8:50 From right to left in 14 frames. 9:12 to 13 from left to right in 62 frames. Enough to verify speeds on this one.
Until I realized it was TNT, I thought I heard Bon Scott about to sing the lines Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, which would have been the ultimate irony for this demo.
Airshows still cranking out distorted all treble generic music nobody ask for through a crappy PA designed for High School football games in order to attempt to drown out those incredible jet engines people came to hear.... Why do they STILL do this??????
I listened with headphones. It’s better than most. You’re yapping like it’s steel bullhorns on sticks everywhere. It’s not at all. It’s amplified stacks all down the flight line ffs. I prefer no music bed at all, but if it has to be such, this seems better than most.
@@kentgregory3299 Yes it is much better than most. I say in general imo and not this specific video. I still remember going to Shawfest KSSC and seeing the T Birds as a teen. They were blasting Motley Crue's Kick Start my Heart. Good rocking song but I wondered if they knew it was about the bass player having a heroin overdose and his heart stopped. Not "yapping" but a big pet peeve since my first airshow 50 years ago. Seeing a beautiful rare WW2 warbird and it's radial engine is drowned out by music and a irritating announcer.
Didnt china just purchase the discounted version of the clearance f35 🤦🏾♂️. Can we please put forward the f22. To this day nobody is fckn with the raptor. Not even this 5th gen f16 i mean f 35. In Raptor we Trust🫡
The Raptor doesn't have the F-35s air to ground capabilities, and can't operate from ships, or austere forward basing, so it does the Navy and Marines no good. Additionally it's an old design, which is why the USAF and Navy are developing 6th generation jets.
@@AviationFreak1 The F22 will be retired but FIRST there will be extensive upgrades to it and it will continue to operate into the 2030's. The retirement will happen once NGAD can take over the F22s role. We all love the F22 but it was a very poor decision by the Obama administration that not only limited the production run of the F22, but ALSO failed to ensure that the production line could be restarted by failing to month-ball key custom manufacturing equipment used across the entire component supply chain. Now that we could use MORE F22s, it is in fact simply more cost effective to move forward with NGAD 6th gen development. NGAD is progressing well and should start flight testing in early late 20s early 30s.
Outstanding camera angles. Thanks for sharing.
Seeing it go from that high alpha to a vertical climb is pretty insane.
The quality of your videos is simply incredible. Keep up the good work!
Thank you
Excellent work Aviation Freak!!!! Loved every second of this...
Thank you
The Charlie model is my favorite.
Definitely the best looking.
Indeed
mine too!!!
Same man.
F-35C Lightning II👍
If I was the beancounter buying Fat Amy's, I would've bought only the C model for each service. Great performance along with a major cost savings.
The C model costs more than the A, and can't operate from LHA/LHD, or austere forward bases, for the Marines.

Forgot to comment f-35 sounds so much louder then the 22 when he turns after burners he is saying don’t mess with me or I will mess with u haha
IMO the F-35 is quiet compared to the F-22. I have seen both so yeah
This is a very good quality video.
Thank you
The Charlie landing gear is THICC.
Wait until the Finnish pilots get the hang of it. The world's most skilled f18 pilots can already be found here. Soon also f35 pilots🇫🇮
Finland will never see the C variant ! but Yes, Finnish and Swiss F18 pilots are spectacular in their DEMOs !
