Best F-35C demo I've seen.
That Dedication Pass is still one of the most impressive clips I’ve ever filmed. Beautifully captured man!
I love the wing profile of that C model!
Aesthetically, the C model is most pleasing to look at. Visually, it seems more properly balanced with the bigger wings. Nice videography. Thanks!
Pretty sure it lacks against the A in almost everything but I could be very incorrect
@@Levantarrr It has better low speed lift and handling for carrier landings, which is why it was given the bigger wing. But it's structurally stronger, and so a bit heavier. Another reason for the bigger wing.
@@Levantarrr You are correct, the C has lower acceleration, is heavier, and a lower sustained turn rate to the A
I think it has a better pitch rate but bleeds energy faster

The less ugly F-35 variant. Larger wings area = more lift and tighter turns but the added weight of the carrier version means that advantage also provides quicker speed loss in performing such actions.

F35s always sounded different from other jets, there's this deep angry howl it has just before it passes over head. Or is it just me?
What percentage of it's capabilities do you think we are getting to see at these air shoes when it comes to the F35 the F22 60-80% obviously we don't get to see full speed due to regulations wish we did. But just curious.
Just wait until European Countrys make F35 Displays and then you’ll be able to see all it’s potential !! And I think it’ll be pretty awesome
Aerodynamic and kinematic capabilities? The demo is constrained by a large safety margin that some of the original test pilots have talked about. The main thing to notice is that F-35s can fly these maneuvers as if they were carrying weapons inside the bays. 4th Gen fighters can’t fly their airshow demos configured due to aerodynamic and weight penalties. An F-16 with 2 tanks, bombs, pods, and missiles doesn’t handle like a slick airshow demo Viper.
@@LRRPFco52when it first appeared on the scene, BAE used to display one of its Typhoons with a full payload. That was an impressive watch.
@@Orbital_Inclination At least in the US, we don't fly demos with external stores. Point Mugu Air Show up into the mid-1970s used to do live ordnance delivery out over the ocean for the audience from F-4s, A-6s, A-7s, and A-4s. Zuni rockets and bombs.

On the F-35C the nose gear is different for obvious reasons. But, does anyone know if the F-35C has the same maing gear as the other 2? That is not so obvious from pictures all the various pictures and vidoes.
Edit... After further review, the C's main gear strut/shock assembly is definitely longer amongst other things.

Now I see why Su-57 is composed by mainly wings, so it can floats mid air
2 engines, central weapons bay between the engine nacelles, higher altitude requirement for interceptor role based on legacy intercept profiles.
It’s unfortunate that the navy refuses to incorporate the pedal turn or any high aoa and yaw maneuvers.

Did I see marines on a c model?
Yes? What is that unusual? They fly the F/A-18A+ and F/A-18C as well, just like other Naval units.
Yes. USMC flies both the F-35B and F-35C, the only US service to fly 2 of the variants. They have already been flying off the boat in F-35Cs on deployment.
The FRS - VFA-125 - has Marines painted on the starboard side and Navy on the port side as it trains F-35C pilots for both services.
C model looks so sluggish in the maneuvers compared to the others. Guessing from the longer wings.
Its looks quicker in some instances, but, all pilots fly and handle their plane differently, who knows, he could make this thing really go through some snappy things with his F 35C, The F35C has the potential to rival or even outperform the F35A which is impressive considering the increased wing area
@@Boaris_Johnson Absolutely, I've seen demos of the A model that were kinda mundane and others that make you realize it's impressive maneuverability.
@@PasleyAviationPhotography I agree, and I've been noticing that the Carrier Break shows some more of its maneuverability, it feels snappier compared to the Minimum Radius Turn, the pilot elongates the turn when he pulls a 180, then as his nose comes toward the crowd hes turns tighter, so the pilot makes the turn into an oval shape turn instead of a circular turn, It can turn tight, they just don't show it
But the C also has good slow speed handling, with a little more stability in the larger wings, rudders and tails, and they both have the same top speed, but the F35A can reach it's top speed by maybe a few seconds compared to the C, The C has a slightly higher sustained turn rate but slower instantaneous turn rate, both have outstanding yaw rates, the C can carry 20,000 gallons of fuel compared to the 18,000 in the A, but, The A has an internal gun whereas the C needs a stealthy center line gun pod, but both have similar avionics and weapons capabilities, but the C has slightly a little more than the A, The C can carry AGM 154 JSOW( Joint Stand Off Weapon) whereas the A and B cant carry those, especially the B because it has the smallest weapon bays out of all the F35 Variants
The C demo is definitely the weakest of the 3 models. It's very conservative.
