Seriously you put in your video how to get the generator out of the box? If someone doesn't know how to get something out of a box, they should not be running power equipment!
So I just got my IGEN2200 today and went to start it and noticed fuel leaking up by the carb. I realized it only did it when I turned the dial from off to the choke position and run, it would stop leaking when I put the dial on off. I removed the sparkplug and cleaned it as I think it had some gas on it from being flooded. and tried to start it again and finally got it going. So far it hasn't been leaking any more fuel as far as I know. I called and started case#SC155424. I wonder if they forgot a seal or something or if the float bowl thingy was stuck.
One question the output ac wave is modify / square/ or pure wave 60hz ? I’m confused at the choke / on dialing modes will I always need to put choke mode after each start up or it’s only for the first time? I’m new at gas generators so I have no idea

@@mikepro-ww5fg After receiving my 2500 I examined how the gas is vented. There are two connections on the front bottom of the gas tank. The one on the right, towards the rear is the gas to carb feed line via the fuel valve on the choke/run knob and the second connection to the left front, is the gas vent. this connection is the tanks internal brass tube that travels up to the gas cap area positioned just under the tank opening "lip". This is connected to the "vent box" for lack of a better name and provides venting. IT IS IMPERATIVE that for ANY gravity fed extended run tank mounted ABOVE the generator that this vent tube is BLOCKED OFF. If not, the externally fed gas WILL OVERFLOW THE "VENT BOX" AND WILL LEAK GAS INTERNALLY IN THE GENERATOR. The "screws in so much before it slips" is just a ratcheting device to prevent over tightening, LIKE YOUR CAR'S GAS CAP, and indeed the supplied gas cap DOES SEAL THE TOP OPENING COMPLETELY, thereby having to run a separate vent line as described above. Additionally, ANY extended run tank HAS TO BE A TRUE GRAVITY FEED with a completely straight down gas flow. I initially tried a marine tank, but, these tanks have a feed tube that is vertical and the gas flow has to travel UP AND OVER this type of tank and IT WILL NOT WORK. The gas feed line HAS to be a continuous, downhill flow...
Sorry, Westinghouse customer service was not helpful to me. I purchased a new iGen 2200 from Amazon and followed the instructions to the T but the generator would not start. I went through the troubleshooting and no luck. A technician was supposed to contact me, but never did, and customer service could not tell me when they would try. Amazon however was extremely helpful. They offered to send me a replacement or refund my money, I wanted my money back. Don't feel comfortable with Westinghouse.
Yes, based on average calculations, the iGen2500 will run your AC. We recommend that you double-check the power requirements of your AC to ensure it falls within the 2500 peak watts and 2200 rated watts of the iGen2500.
Hi Quietlike! Per the response given on the other question, we cannot recommend grounding your generator or not as local area codes differ. Typically, using an inverter where it is touching earth ground will be good to ensure it is grounded.
I’ve been on hold with customer service for 22 minutes… I know it is Labor Day, but I’m out here at lake with a bunch of disabled US veterans and we have NO POWER! again new unit that doesn’t work(AT ALL
I bought my iGen2500 in August 2020. In October the power knob vibrated off. I have sent multiple emails since October 2020 and as of 3/2021 I have never heard from their customer service. DO NOT buy this product, you will never get customer service if it breaks

Nice gen , should have got the 2200 I xlt Westinghouse , same gen except xtra low tone { XLT ) that is what I got in addition to my Honda 3000 eu , Westinghouse makes a very good product !

@@kyjarhead12 I am not a gen mechanic , my gen works great ! I know its a couple days late on this reply , did you get your gen going ? Pretty simply just address all the yellow places and pull the rope ? Lid vent , on knob , pull choke , gas in tank , pull rope ? :)

No visible gas cap vent... Is the vent built into the cap or how does the fuel vent??? Thanks for your reply..
It only screws in so much before it slips. So I think it does vent

There is no discussion of grounding. Can this generator be used without being grounded?

Bought one wouldn't start out of the box they sent me a second one and that one wouldn't even start out of the box

Same here. I couldn't even use my arms the next day from trying to start this thing. Customer service was useless /clueless.
