That's pretty impressive that that will run that roof AC I had a different model generator that was also inverter a couple of years ago that would run a window 5000 BTU AC unit but I would start it first with the Eco mode off and then I can switch to eco mode but this one has a lot more power than the one I had the inverter generators are really great definitely game changers for camping and tailgating
I bought one of these generators.......took a while to get it started the first time....then burned out the gas.....and tried to start it the next time, 9 months later.....no start. Long story. all generators are delicate pieces of machinery. If you buy one, just plan on educating yourself on small engine repair.
Will not maintain that ac for long time. 15 minutes tops. Than the breakers kick out. I even have soft start. . 90 deg. Day will not run a 13500 ac roof air 😑
I thought so, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Had a hard time starting mine, but upon further inspection the spark plug cap was disconnected. And then I had to start it with the choke on "Run" instead of "choke."
the generator is in storage at the moment so no hours to check, but it runs great. The only issue i had was needing to rejet it for the higher elevations. I got some jets direct from the manufacturer and install was pretty straight forward.

Runs mine as long as I need. I did have to rejet the carb though

no, but that generator is allowed in national parks because its below their noise threshold

When you said "It helps if I turn it on" what were you referring to? I don't see an "on" switch, just the choke, run, or off.

Didn't that thing got recalled for catching on fire.
looks like only 4500 were recalled but worth checking in to it and see if your model is part of the recall
Only models made in 2017 for about 3 months. They corrected the issue at the factory for all generators leaving the factory after that.
how hot was it outside?
it wasnt very hot out but ive run in the summer and it ran fine also. I usually try to shade the gen when its running to avoid adding extra heat
