Exactamante.

Dara's part, loved it--and the guaranteed gift of her giving her daughter fluency in another language. My kids are now grown, and both were in a Spanish-immersion program from kindergarten on in our local public school system (in Maryland--high demand and they lucked out in the "lottery"--more school systems should offer this). Not as good as actual immersion but a really good start. My 23-year-old daughter now says in her mind, one of the overall best parenting decisions we made was doing that, that it's helped her so much; she now lives & works in Los Angeles. (Haha, I resisted the urge to ask about other parenting decisions, counted my blessings with one!) I think language fluency is one of the most difficult things to make up for later, though I keep trying with myself....

Thank you for sharing all this information about Mexico and teaching the world that it’s not a horrible place as it shows in the news. One this as an immigrant myself. When my family took me to the US I had a huge culture shock. Even Mexican kids used to make fun of me or it felt like I didn’t belong sometimes. What I’m saying is that those things happen anywhere when you move from one country to another. I encounter the same thing now when I go to Mexico because I Don’t “look or act Mexican”
Sincerelly interesting topic together with your own approach ! Interaction with People´s lives, feelings, emotions, culture shocks¨ & philosophies of life. Thanks a Lot !

You help me to get my traveling in vicariously until I can go myself 🥰
Dating in Monterrey is not easy, even for other Mexicans. They're a very conservative society and a lot of their values are based on social status. Dating in Mexico City is a totally different experience. It's more like dating in NYC, LA, Toronto or Chicago.
That unfortunate dating experience is very middle upper and upper class provincial. Individuals from those social groups moving to Mexico City say they experience a freedom they did not imagine in their towns. Back in the 80's and 90's, when the Riviera Maya was taking off, middle class Mexicans from all over the country found job opportunities there. Some of my friends living there told me they felt free to date and partner whoever they wanted without those social, family limitations.

So nice to hear a Detroit/ Belle Isle reference . Detroit represent! I’m looking to retiring to Mexico. I’m here doing my UA-cam research. Thank you for your videos.
Daria’s comments are so true. It’s a bit challenging for single women, especially if the community is family oriented.
Interesting....some of our community say it's a lot different other cities especially CDMX. I really didn't know it got that deep....crazy world!

Love this video and many of your videos- very unique, interesting and informative!
Only thing is- the background noise/music started getting louder in the second half and it was hard to hear the interviews- not sure if I’m the only one this happened to? 😂
Yes, we had some sound challenges with in some places we couldn't overcome. Thanks for sitting through them.
Enjoyed hearing these stories!
🤗 Happy to share them w/ you 😄
Great video❤
Thank you!

Viva Mexico!✌🏾
This has changed my mind about a lot. I hope to learn more through the channel as a black man traveling in this world
We hope to fill that need! Glad you found us!
Amazing people!! All foreigners who contribute growth and respect to this beautiful country are welcome.❤🇲🇽
Love you for that! Viva Mexico!
Love your videos of Mexico. Viva Mexico!
Great video!!! 🤩🌷🌟. Welcome to México 🙏🏻🎶🎊💖...
Thank you! 😃
Such a wonderful video. I ❤ Funke!
She is gaining a following out here. She was wonderful to hangout with and talk to!
Theres a big movement of Americans, Canadian 🇨🇦 , Europeans from English and Spaniards all moving to MeXico 🇲🇽 🎉🎉❤ I think im moving back to Mexico 🇲🇽 🎉🎉❤❤ im getting tired of paying $2,500 for rent here in the USA 🇺🇸
And I’m getting tired of you people messing up our country with the gentrification
I enjoyed watching this video. I especially enjoyed Funke’s wise words on adapting to living in a different country.
Really glad you enjoyed our costars.
I wanna be Funke when I grow up. She has such a warm, relaxed presence.
Another great video. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very good idea to get multiple points of view towards living outside the US.
Hoping that maybe people can resonate with one of the perspectives.
Thank you glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderful video, very will edited. Loved it.
Thank you!
Funke, sweet lady, you will be happy wherever you are. You will be welcomed whereever you go. Dod bless.
Gracias!
I know with your travels, y’all are looking for a place to call home but I think you found it. A looong time ago lol. Your hearts are there, community is there and no matter where in the world you go, y’all are always drawn back to Mexico. Is Mexico endgame for the Yarbros? 🤔
Mexico is convenient but no it's not endgame for us.
I love this series! Thank you
Thanks for being here for it!
Hey, & Great Video💚✅
Hey, thanks!
Welcome to México amigos ❤🇲🇽✌️
Hola muchacho!
Everyone Is welcome to México, guys
Thank you for watching.
I LOVE Edwina Gaines - she is the truth!! :) I love the stories of all the expats -- it was good to see Monte with you!
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it! Yes Monte has been a friend of ours since Merida. Have a great evening!
I just think it’s so cool that all the Merida vloggers or at least many of you that I started out watching in Mexico ( Aja Arrow, Julian, SPK, Tangerine Travels, Mexitplans Monte, Cafe con Leche and you guys) are still creating wonderful content. You help me to get my traveling in vicariously until I can go myself 🥰
*TODOS SON BIENVENIDOS A MEXICO* 🇲🇽
Gracias!!!
Amo a estos hermanos de corazón. Bienvenidos a México!
Dating in Monterrey is not easy, even for other Mexicans. They're a very conservative society and a lot of their values are based on social status. Dating in Mexico City is a totally different experience. It's more like dating in NYC, LA, Toronto or Chicago.
Thanks for the insight!
I love mexico .
There's a lot to love.
I like how they have the courage to go to Mexico without knowing Spanish & moving to REAL MEXICO!!
Fight or flight...full immersion takes either courage or ignorance lol. I think these folks are very courageous!
Nope they have yo learn the language like you make us in the states
That unfortunate dating experience is very middle upper and upper class provincial. Individuals from those social groups moving to Mexico City say they experience a freedom they did not imagine in their towns. Back in the 80's and 90's, when the Riviera Maya was taking off, middle class Mexicans from all over the country found job opportunities there. Some of my friends living there told me they felt free to date and partner whoever they wanted without those social, family limitations.
Very interesting thanks for sharing!
Interesante video.bienvenidos a México . 🤠
LOTS OF WISDOM FROM THE LADY THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD BE, RESPECT THE NACIONALS OR LOCALS OF THE COUNTRY YOU MOVE TO.
The grandma at the beginning of the video is so right
She definitely let some wisdom fly!
Respect....give it....Get it... Enjoy Mexico and it has to offer my brothers and sisters in Christ...
Saludos afectuosos
Nice, finally someone who chooses to live in Monterrey.
Yes, we met with many others living there as well!
Right! I have a friend there who owns an African restaurant. Would be nice see an interview with him. 😊
Yes, he was out of town when we were there. I'd love to interview him and shadow his buisness for a day. lmk if you can connect us. @@live.life.on.purpose

Love Funke! What a great story
From an awesome woman!
You are very welcome in Mexico!
Gracias amigo!
I love seeing the positivity in these comments. The difference between using "immigrants" vs "expats" in the title makes a world of difference in my opinion, adds a level of a respect
Awesome episode!
