Well done 👍 but if I was the owner I’d actually pay to have more done to the truck, like refinish the rims, paint correction, and detail under the hood. My buddy had an old farm truck that served him for over 25 years and it finally had it retired, so he decided to restore the whole truck make it brand new again and his dad now drives it daily. It’s amazing that a vehicle properly maintained and not treated as a toy but a machine, it will last almost a lifetime. It was a 1992 ford f350 that his father bought brand new they used it all around the farm together. When his father decided to retire so did the truck and that’s when he restored it for his father so essentially he got a brand new truck again. It was so cool. I helped him as much as I could with the project. Really cool to see!
Good morning Mitch! First of all, YES to do we want to see some video of the drain pit being sucked out and cleaned. You put a giant drain pit in there for good reason. I think you said it was at least 2X larger than the one from the home garage. And thanks for addressing the "people don't really have that much mud on their vehicles". Those folks must not live in areas where farmers live, because I see a lot of muddy trucks in the parking lots here in Wisconsin. Great job on this detail, you made that interior look brand new. That green paint turned out really nice. I have given the glass cleaner/ towel combo several times as birthday gifts and people love it every time. Have a great weekend, and thanks for this video. Always looking forward to Yard Geek videos!! 💜
Hello Joel! Nice to see you. It's interesting to see that some trucks are very dirty, especially those owned by farmers living in Wisconsin. Have an enjoyable day and a nice weekend. Be safe where you are and stay warm. 😊
That truck looks like the vehicular version of a popcorn ceiling! It really cleaned up well, with your help. Nothing sticks like prairie mud, what a transformation! Great work!❤❤❤
I was literally just about to ask if your drain ever gets clogged with all that mud, but you started talking about that very thing before I could start typing! LOL
A few tips for ya in your prep stages I have found after 30+ years in the business. The carpet strip at the bottom of the door can be hosed out with the PW making it faster and cleaner than with an extractor and won't hurt the door at all. The other chrome pieces like the nerf bars , mirror backers, bumpers, and exhaust tips can be scrubbed with super fine steel wool in the washing/prep process and you just have to touch them up in the fine exterior detail. Also you can clay bar the paint after your final hand wash/rinse stage of prep . The water will lubricate the clay just as good as a quick detailer spray and allow you to rinse off any extra particles before a buffing/waxing stage.
I think this is one of your most satisfying details to date! I loved all the mud coming off and I'd also like to see the mud getting sucked out of the drain. Keep up the great work!
This video just makes me feel lighter, all the dirt coming off of that exterior was so pleasing to watch. Mitch the cleaning machine does it once again! Have a nice weekend DG and fans!

I’m impressed with how much better it looked with just a pressure wash. I don’t know what colour I was expecting under all that, my first reaction was “Oh! It’s GREEN!”
To be honest I don't care if those videos are staged or not. I just want to watch with satisfaction that dirt going away and calm my nerves. Keep it up man.
Absolutely love the new intro. Keep up the great work man! I became a detailer at Mercedes Benz because of you and its absolutely amazing being able to do what you do daily!!
Working for a major cellular provider, I was assigned cellular sites in some very muddy and remote places. One of those was through the very used pasture of a large dairy farm, and it was always disgusting. Deep mud and cow pies made up most of the road to the site. Even four wheel drive had a hard time sliding through the ooze. When I would leave the site, fortunately there was a truck stop and a car wash fairly close by. My truck looked every bit as bad as this one and it stunk to high heaven. So yes, there are occasions when a vehicle can legitimately look this bad. The truck would still stink for days after.
I wish there were client reactions… that would make these so much better. We went through the process of watching it and then you don’t get to see the owners reaction who are the ones that would truly appreciate this since they have to drive it every day after they look like such a mess. It’s a fun thing that a lot of detailers do and It’s so fun to see the clients reactions to the before and after.

I like you addressing some folks thinking it may be staged, since it’s so dirty. Clearly it’s not staged, but even if it was…getting just the outside mud free is unbelievable staged or not! One video I would like to see is an in-depth video of how you clean the door jams with the pressure washer without soaking the inside. That’s the one thing when I detail my cars I have 0 confidence in trying
The mud comes off this truck a bit easier because 1. hes got a great pressure washer setup 2. the truck hasn’t been sitting with it for far too long 3. the paint is in pretty good condition. Just makes the prewash that much better and way more satisfying. Awesome work!
Seen mud like that on a vehicle before. Looks like he got stuck, the mud is from the vehicle that pulled him out. Looks like a 2wd truck so makes sense. I like how Mitch answered my questions in the video, about pre-soak, and how he feels about people bringing really dirty vehicles. Turned out really nice, hope my truck looks that good at that age.

Why does it matter where the dirt comes from or Where do you expect work to come from? I have a GMT800 exactly one year newer that goes mudding and has looked like this.
Amazing! 22 year old farm truck with virtually no rust. After the awesome job that you did on it, this thing has got to be worth a small fortune!
Good lord that old GMT800 is in fantastic shape for having been a farm truck.
You are an extremely hard working young man who takes pride in his work. All my best to you, your family and friends.
Hello from California.
Yeah! the first time you've done a drain pour and not said 'GROSS'! yes i spotted it Mitch! and yes do that drain clearing out video i've always wondered what happened to the muck! great video bud you always make a Friday good!
I didn't notice until you pointed it out! I miss the "gross" and guitar outros.
Amazing! Great job! And definitely want to see the big truck taking out the mud!
It’s Friday ❤❤❤ enjoy your weekend Mitch 😊
I really want to have sound on while watching this, but the music makes it unbearable😓
Turn down volume
Did you read his comment?
@@sseann132 yes
@@Vintagelures soooo if the sound is off what did he do to the volume?...
@@sseann132 It's just damn audio chill
I'm getting old; when you said 20, I was thinking totally different. It's probably a 2000s truck, lol
I absolutely love this guy's videos. He does such amazing work. He has definitely inspired me to follow my dreams of one day opening up my own car detailing business. I just hope that I will be just as good as he is.
Yep!!! That truck looks brand new for 20 + years!!! 😱😱😱💜💜💜 I got the glass cleaner and apc and we cleaned my daughter’s new (to her) car with it and if it didn’t have damage and scratches from the former owner, it would look brand new too!!
I'm very impressed that's a 22-year-old truck and it seems to be in great condition I don't see no rust no dents and the paint color is really gorgeous.
We want the behind the scenes of this episode 😅
You make your money doing what you love, Mitch. That's all that matters and that's how you keep a business booming
Amazing job! That truck was well cared for to be in that good of shape. Bravo!
I used to binge watch your videos, they helped me sleep.
I don’t think you’ve ever detailed that year of Chevy truck until now. Those are my favourite years of trucks
Do you start by cleaning the roof first, or do you leave that till the end and clean the mud off the side the water runs off of?
I'd love to see the floor after that mess and the pit cleanout
looks amazing afterwards. Great job on this one!!
Drain pit drain pit!! 😂 That will be fun to see. I love the color of the truck when not covered in mud lol. Have a great weekend!
Hey Jennifer, so good to see you. I agree 100%, after seeing the construction of the drain pit in the build videos, I would love to see how it gets cleaned. Have a great weekend!!!
@@joelbuchanan471 Hi Joel! Good to see you too my friend. You're right, seeing the drain pit cleaned is it going to be super fascinating, I can't wait! #Mikefordrainpitcleaning #Mikeformayor
@@Jennifer_MB 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yikes Jennifer, nice to see you! Get ready for the drain pit. Go for it and have a good weekend, my friend!😊
@@joelbuchanan471 Good medicine to laugh!! 😏
Yes I was thinking the same thing pre-soaking it so the mud comes off easier. But watching the big mud balls flying off the truck was pretty cool. LOL
Hey mitch do you go on vacations or no?? And on 6:57 plzz let us see the mud sucker truck😂 and I wonder how much cost a detail??
I have cleaned agricultural vehicles in the past, just looking at that vehicle I can guarantee it is 100% authentic (actually quite clean) as it's missing farm dog hair and livestock fur too ! Brilliant job and love the videos 👍
Great video today Mitch! Keep up the good work!
I like you addressing some folks thinking it may be staged, since it’s so dirty. Clearly it’s not staged, but even if it was…getting just the outside mud free is unbelievable staged or not! Looks like you said, the owner sure had one heck of a field day, pun intended to retire this truck. A+ content as always!
Edit. If you haven’t already. One video I would like to see is an in-depth video of how you clean the door jams with the pressure washer without soaking the inside. That’s the one thing when I detail my cars I have 0 confidence in trying
Wow! Who knew there was such a nice looking truck underneath all that mud. I’ve definitely seen far worse on this channel.
I was thinking multiple trucks tearing it up and throwing all over each other😂
@@wyattross3989 could be, we farmers tend to be spirited drivers. Yee-haa!🚜
I'd be pretty satisfied with the pressure washing already, but these transformations are incredible... Amazing
You did an amazing job. Kudos to you 💯
I love watching your videos, but my absolute favorite is the owners reaction.
Always great work!
Shout out to the owner. Nice to see work dirt rather than child neglect filth.
It would be a cool video to see the drain pits cleaned out.
I think what more people need to realize is this. We're all watching because it's satisfying, so even if it was fake, we're still getting the same product from the same person, and it's the same exact quality!
WOW!!! Amazing cleaning Mitch and you have answered the glass problems thank you 😍🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I always find it amazing that there are over three and a half million of us that like to watch a guy wash a car.
