Well, it’s official! That was a better explanation of analogous colours and their complementary, than I received in art college - more concise and I dare say entertaining too! 😉
You have such a knack, Kathy, of making me feel like two old friends are together to make a card. You are so personable (and funny). I think I told you how I feel when I watch other videos...."She didn't boop!!!"
I love that little flamingo he is so cute and the white background is so clean and crisp. I’m still sitting in hospital 4 weeks now almost 5 so thank you for the entertainment my time spent with you is the best part of my day as my family can’t currently visit due to Covid lockdown.
Another great "teaching" video! You are so correct when you said that some crafters have a natural eye but don't know the term(s). I appreciate that you are teaching as well as having fun - that transfers to your audience. I've been stamping since 2008 and still learning. Thanks Cathy!
I have never studied art, so this color wheel series is of great help to me. Thank you so much, Cathy, for sharing your technical knowledge. What a treat!!
Honestly, I love the whisper....so calming. It's also something I do when concentrating on my crafting, reminding myself what to do, etc. "It's always fun. IT'S ALWAYS FUN!" I swear I laughed out loud! Very pretty card, and the gold sequins were a nice touch!
I am loving this series you’re doing with the colour wheel! You are such a good teacher/explainer 😁. Not just the theory, you explain everything so well!! Thank you!
Your color wheel explanations help me to understand it better, and make more sense as well as utilizing that little tool to bring harmony when combining colors! Thanks Cathy, lovely card
I’m enjoying your color wheel lessons... it’s so helpful! I’m not one who has the “ vision” to see correct color combos. Thanks for taking the time to help us all out! 💕🙋♀️🌴
Beautiful card as always Cathy! Thank you so much for spending this weekend at C9! I absolutely loved 🥰 the cards you taught us! I especially loved the offset turnabout card! Thanks again!
I love these color wheel instructional videos! I obtain some new tip or design lesson from every one of your videos! I truly appreciate all the work you do pulling these together for us! Oh and the finished product is fabulous as well!
♥ Everything about this card shouts SUMMER !! The greens look great together the Flamingo was the perfect POP of pink & the sequins were the perfect amount of shimmer to both finished the card and to tie them back to the sentiment color. The one thing I can always count on when watching your videos is that I'm gonna love the finished product. There are NO hot messes in your craft/dining room. Thanks so much for another awesome crafting/teaching video (gosh if you had taught math when I was in school I might have learned to not hate it so much, you make learning FUN) well . . then again, probably not, math is just not fun like cardmaking.
A little late to the party here! I was finally able to watch your video. Another great teaching video on how-to and have fun while card making. Manicure looking magnificent girl. Until your next card sesh 👉
I am really loving these videos. The color wheel is something I have always been interested in but when I get it in my hands...I'm lost. Thank you so much for these videos. These really explain so much! I love them! So...thank you....thank you...thank you!
That was AWESOME! I have a color wheel from my scrapbooking days but never really learned how to use it to its fullest. Thank you for an another demonstration of your talent and knowledge! 💚💗
Cathy- loving the color wheel videos- inspirational and so helpful... even beyond cards! My garden is in what I like to think of as a "rebuilding" year ("overhaul," though probably more apt, is too overwhelming to contemplate). After your last video, I actually carried my wheel out to the garden to choose colors for the next installment of perennials to go with those I'd already planted. It helped me figure out the right shades of yellows, pinks, purples and greens to buy and where to plant for best effect. You didn't know it, but your inspiration saved me tons of $$ and disappointment even outside the craft room, and now my family has a beautiful array of complementary blooming colors to marvel at from our kitchen window. Thank you, thank you!
You are Hilarious. I needed this on the color wheel. You come up with good tips. I got a kick out of your picture about having to clean the table to craft. That is so me! Thanks for the great videos.
Watching this whilst getting ready and I've noticed that the t-shirt I'm wearing today has three green leaf colours and a single pinkish bold leaf on it! Exactly like you have done! Oh, and a cute sloth lol. I'm laughing out loud at the coincidence as I haven't worn this t-shirt in ages!
I really appreciate this tutorial because I need to start being more adventurous when it comes to picking out color schemes for card making and scrapbooking. Thanks for sharing the link to the color wheel as well because I've been thinking about picking one up but hadn't seen anyone using one or recommending one that they liked. I always enjoy your videos because they are so informative and you are like a crafting friend that encourages me to stop just collecting craft supplies and actually use them.
This is a case for the creative corners... I keep forgetting I have 'em 😂 Thank you for sharing another wonderful instructive tutorial 💜 Off to boop up some cards 🏃🏼♀️
Love the color harmony and pop. I’m terrible with colors, and typically stick to the family, but after how you explained this I’m going to try to pop a contrast color in.. finger x-d that it’s as successful as your choices… thanks for another wonderful Cathy masterclass ❤️
This is such a great series. I never knew how to pronounce "Analogous", so thank you for that LOL. Personally, I love to hear you whisper. I know you're talking to yourself when you do it because that's what I do while I'm crafting. 😂 Choosing a mat color is so hard for me, so I like when you talk through why you choose what you do. Adorable card!
A gorgeous card, especially for Summer! I’m thinking my hibiscus stamp could work here, too, in bright pink! TFS, Cathy, good instruction on color. 🌿🌸💌
Loooove when you incorporate color theory in our craft!!! 💕💕💕
Well, it’s official! That was a better explanation of analogous colours and their complementary, than I received in art college - more concise and I dare say entertaining too! 😉
Thanks for the lesson!! I love the way you think out loud and talk to yourself. It makes me realize I’m not the only one 🤣
You have such a knack, Kathy, of making me feel like two old friends are together to make a card. You are so personable (and funny). I think I told you how I feel when I watch other videos...."She didn't boop!!!"
lol I loved the “I promise if I am whispering it isn’t anything you need to know” 😂😂😂
It's true! ; )

Oh Kathy, so sorry they can't come visit. Hope you'll be on your way home soon!
Another great "teaching" video! You are so correct when you said that some crafters have a natural eye but don't know the term(s). I appreciate that you are teaching as well as having fun - that transfers to your audience. I've been stamping since 2008 and still learning. Thanks Cathy!

Honestly, I love the whisper....so calming. It's also something I do when concentrating on my crafting, reminding myself what to do, etc. "It's always fun. IT'S ALWAYS FUN!" I swear I laughed out loud! Very pretty card, and the gold sequins were a nice touch!
