  • Everyone’s sleep apnea is unique... but not for the reason you’d expect.
In fact, all obstructive sleep apnea is caused by one real factor.
It’s the same factor that allows deviated septums and enlarged tongues to choke us out at night.
And, once you identify this factor, you can have a path out of sleep apnea that doesn’t rely on a machine or surgery.
So, make sure to join me in this episode: Why Sleep Apnea is Only Caused by One Factor.

OK, so CPAP is a temporary fix. If this is true, I want to truly fix this asap

Had multiple surgeries, MADD devices, PAP units. Top Ivy League ENT: You dont have OSA and I dont know why you cant sleep. My breathing is always short and rapid. 24/7.

Thank you for sharing this information! I have had poor sleep for decades and I just learned how critical quality sleep is to good health and recovery.

Interesting concept but are there any studies on how this fast breathing pattern is causing a vacuum which in turn is causing sleep apnea? Would love to see something proving this theory.

My issue is not obstruction that inhibits air intake. Exactly the opposite. There seems to be a "flap" of skin that closes off the airway as soon as I try to exhale through my nose. Only solution I've found is sleeping on my side. Always works but am no able maintain that position alll through the night.

I'm so glad I saw your video. I have claustrophia and am having trouble using the CPAP. I just made an appointment for an ENT consult for the Inspire device. Your thoughts on breathing makes a lot of sense to me. I will try this and check out your website. Thank you!

Thank you, I've been considering getting that device that restructures the mouth/jaw via my dentist's recommendation, but definitely going to work on this breathing instead now. I know I do get stuffed up at night, so need to figure out how to stop whatever allergy I may have too, but excited to try this! And thanks for additional video resources.

Quick question. How many minutes per day should someone practice the rectangular breathing technique to improve apnea issues?

  • @RemlichtFilm

Thanks for this, first time I got a decent explanation!

what about the relaxation of throat muscles during rem sleep? you have no control over your breathing during this time?

  • @skinnysylvie9909

    Thank you very much, Doctor!!!!!

  • @jessperna7916

What kind of cardio exercise regimen would be optimal to minimize/fix sleep apnea?

  • @jeffrman777

Very misleading title to say there’s only one cause to OSA. Plenty of OSA cases are caused by skeletal anomalies (recessed upper and/or lower jaws) and maxillomandibular advancement is the most effective treatment option for these patients.

VERY LONG and mostly BORING and confusing....just get to the point! I have NO idea what you're talking about !!!...learned NOTHING from this video!
