The UA-cam video "Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 Review: Better Than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite?" thoroughly examines the performance and features of the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 to determine if it surpasses the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 as the best choice for an affordable Android tablet with a keyboard. The reviewer evaluates various aspects of the tablet, including design, keyboard cover, display, speakers, Lenovo Precision Pen 2, hardware and performance, software, and battery life.
The Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 features the typical Lenovo design, combining metal and plastic. The tablet offers solid build quality, although the transition from the display to the housing is not as seamless as in some premium tablets. An interesting feature is the optional keyboard cover, which adds versatility to the tablet. The keyboard is decent, although it is entirely made of plastic and feels somewhat cheap. Beneath the keyboard is a touchpad that functions well and enhances productivity.
The Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 has an 11.5-inch display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels. While this resolution is typical in this price range, the pixel density is slightly lower due to the larger screen size. However, compared to the smaller Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, the Lenovo model offers more stable viewing angles and, unusually, supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz, resulting in smoother animations. The display's brightness is good, allowing for decent usability even in bright daylight.
The Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, available in either 4GB or 6GB RAM and up to 128GB of storage, depending on the version. In benchmark tests, the tablet proves to be more powerful than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and other comparable tablets in its price range. It offers solid gaming performance and allows for smooth gameplay of popular games like PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9.
The Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 comes pre-installed with Android 12L, a version of the operating system optimized for tablets. It provides a near-stock Android experience with most of the essential Google apps preloaded. Lenovo also promises updates up to Android 14, ensuring good long-term support for the tablet. The battery life of the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 is approximately 6 hours when used at 120 Hz, but it can be extended by reducing the refresh rate to 60 Hz.
Overall, the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 offers good performance and versatile features at an affordable price.

I impulse bought the P11 G2 and am watching this on it. It's great so far, but the reason I'm commenting is he chose Star Trek Deep Space 9 when using Netflix. Clearly this man can be trusted 🖖
I totally thought the same thing 😅
Hi I have 1 question: you've used all others tablets stylus (huawei m pencil, lenovo precision, xiaomi smart pen, apple pencil,...) do you find any of them have a translation feature like spen? Thank you.
Thank you for this kind of video! With the Xiaomi pad 6 launching in Europe soon, I would love to hear your take on how the Xiaomi 6 compares to the Lenovo P11 PRO G2!
always learn something from you....can Samsung Notes be put on the Lenovo ?
Could you make a review of Blackview Tab 11 SE and Teclast T40 Pro?
Do you recommend the lenovo p11 2nd gen or the lenovo tab p12? to watch series, play, take notes, study and other basic actions, my parents want something economical, durable and of course effective
What should i get Lenovo tab p11 pro or Huawei matepad 11?
Does anyone know if this tablet is compatible with the keyboard of the Lenovo Duet?
Great comparison, thanks!
Is p11 gen 2 or p12 standard better overall?
Danke, this was very helpful! I've decided to buy the Lenovo Tab P11 G2. And I appreciate you showing Kira Nerys from Deep Space Nine @03:03 😃
Can the pen be wirelessly charged on this tablet? This is very important for me.
I've had this tablet for about 2 weeks now and it's been great. It is just as fast as I need it, but the software has some annoying bugs. For example, lockdown mode from the power menu doesn't disable face unlock, and there is no way to change the keyboard on the tablet without an additional app to switch it.
So here's something that might affect others and does make one wonder what's going on with Lenovo.
So yesterday, I bought the Tab P11 Plus Gen 2 with keyboard/pen kit.
BUT, on the box, which has a picture of Tab with keyboard and the new pen (it's sweet), it just say
Tab P11. It does not say PLUS!
I got this from Best Buy and on their site and my receipt, it specifically says, Tab P11 Plus!
So I was about to go to BB to find out what's going on. If I paid for the Plus but didn't get a Plus, then exchange it.
So I check the Model number on the website and it is the right number for the Plus version.
I check on the box, and that number is for the Tab P11 2nd gen (2023).
However, in another part of the label on the box, it does show the right number for Plus! So that's good.
Also, the serial number on the box does match the s/n on the bottom of the Tablet.
So this cold be confusing at first blush.
Other than that, I like this Tab P11 about 90%. So far, my complaints are:
- connecting to WiFi 2.4 Ghz is glitchy. To get that to work, I had to click on the option for the MAC and force it to use the device's MAC and not use random MACS. I'm not 100%, but I have a feeling that my router sees the changing of the MAC as a possible attack. If so, that's good.
But once connected, it works, BUT it's only 1/2 the speed of the 5 Ghz connection. I have many devices that can use either 2.4 or 5 and the speed is always the same. This is just interesting as to what did Lenovo do to the protocols for 2.4 Ghz that is causing 1/2 speed. hmmmmm....
- I installed Zoom and it couldn't "hear" the audio from my smart phone, during a test meeting. The fix was silly, but it worked. And, it does kind of make sense, and something that the Zoom people might need to address with their audio subsystem.
To get audio to work, I had to turn off Dolby Atmos! I think with it enabled, it's trying to play the audio, but it doesn't find the right coding, so it goes silet. Just a guess.
- The last thing is the camera. It brags being 13MP (rear). Not that I plan on using the camera much, but while the colors are excellent, the clarity isn't up to the standard of my Samsung A71.
But worse is the video. The Max resolution is 1080p @ 30 fps! Not 60! I don't like 30 fps! I prefer the smoothness of 60 fps.
the problem with alternatives is the Software experience. we are often blinded by tech specs like display or battery capacity and refresh rates, then we think the better specs wins but using it in real world, you would get fed up with the OS UI and reliability.. i think its still better to go for a product with a more mature OS base.
Any idea if this Tab P11(2nd Gen) will get A13L & A14L upgrades from the current A12L?
It should get Android 13 this quarter and Android 14 in 2024. You can google "Lenovo Update Matrix" to see the expected dates.
Currently in Germany I'm seeing the Lenovo P11 G2 being bundled with something called Active Pen 3.
Thank you for so important information, ad always. I have Lenovo 13, but it is wifi only🥴. 🙏
Is it possible to hide that thick bottom taskbar on the Lenovo? I just want the standard android arrow, circle and square.
If you use a launcher like Nova
can anybody tell me if this model is suitable to hold a linux prompt and code in python, julia or C? (mostly numerical computing, nothing too demanding)
Nope. Get a linux os laptop instead
Nice sunglasses! Where did you get them?
Thx, in Berlin at a store called Apollo^^
Good "Bang For The Buck' INFO" At These Economical Times. 6GB Ram Recommended. Thank you Tablet Reviewer.
Is lenovo p11 gen 2 tablet have a sim slot for call in 4gb and 128gb variant, as I saw its mentioned 4g LTE, what it means here
Price
Man you are one of the few reviewer that talks about the refresh rate ... Its a big deal fm
👍
How many os updates will this tablet get
Lenovo provides a list of its products with updates to expect
both precision 2 and 3 work on that lenovo device. I only consider this device because it's way cheaper than samsung here. But for westerners where these are more evenly priced, choose the samsung one.
The issue with this tablet is that text and icons are to small on some apps, it makes operating it cumbersome.
You can make it bigger. Lol
Wait, now suddenly it has a headphone jack? Despite your older review of the exact same model not having it?
I just bought one yesterday. I moved up from a M9.
For me the P11 is the most expensive tablet that I've bought at $309 Cdn. As a basic user the P11 will be more than adequate for my needs 👍
right now its on amazon prime day, i feel like its reallly good due the 120hz which is good for movies/youtube which is my main use for the Tablet
Yes it's one of the best deals for Prime Day
@@MyNextTablet I am very confused between Lenovo P11 2gen and the new Samsung Galaxy A9+ tab
Which one would you prefer
Snapdragon 870?
Both nice (S6 lite 2022 owner). USP for S6 are included pen and DeX, for P11 speak four over two speakers as the 6/128 gb over 4/64 and 120 over 60hz.
Specs I'd lean to the Lenovo but not sure I want to give up DeX. S6 lite was €249! last year.
120 hz screen???
The PRO version seems to be the best bang for buck
The iqoo pad has released cn
I had the samsung s6 lite and returned it for this Lenovo P11
Is it day and night better for media consumption?
Hey, would you recommend buying this? I'm thinking about buying one for note making and normal web surfing but kinda skeptical..
I just received my P11 Pro Gen 2, 6gb/128gb, during the setup, bunch of software updates came through (4 to be exact) according to the box it was manufactured November 2023, one of the updates was Android 13, the rest was security updates, it is such a beautiful tablet, It's fast and runs smooth as silk, the OLED screen is fantastic, it's super bright and the colors are extremely vibrant, I purchased it from Ebay Lenovo store here in the United States
Never again will I buy a Lenovo! The OS is simply awful: no support to BT or dongle/cabled keyboard and mouse, nor any support to OTG dongles. My P11 had its motherboard replaced and SO updated with the promise that it would work after a future updates, which of course did not occur. Not to forget that it simply bricked a brand new 256 micro SD card ("sorry, no support to 3rd-party devices"). Regardless the looks, it is a total flop.

I will think twice to buy a Lenovo again. They are not good in actualization.
They’re not good, period - my dad bought a mid-range model last fall, only to go back to his old Huawei tablet after just a couple of weeks due to the Lenovo’s abysmal performance (it lagged worse than the lowest-range tablets); the other day I was in a tech store and played around for a few minutes with the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro and P12 Pro….and they, the brand’s flagship models, too lagged like low-range ones. Lenovo tabs just suck, you’re better off with even the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite than a Lenovo.
Weird. Even my low budget Tab M7 is ok lag wise considering the weak ash chipset in that thing.
@@joelconolly5574 You must have never used other brands. Lenovo tablets are worst than those “fake” super-cheap chinese brands ones found only on Amazon and such.
You are joking my Lenovo 4/8 has a better screen compared to Samsung 7 lite and it seems snappier .You would not mind but its an older tablet .I purchased the Samsung to replace the Lenovo , a bit disapointing .Yes it has advantages but not where it matters

Funny how these youtubers think their voice is so important they gotta have some huge ass "compensating" microphone... unlike the big ass studio network Anchors (CNN etc), they must be special..
Funny how you care so much. Even more funny is that you watch CNN. 😂😂😂
