I love how you review products, it's actually realistic because nor everyone is a web developer, graphic designer or content creator. Thanks s feels like an amazing tablet juts get higher storage ones for more space. There's absolutely nothing wrong with an lcd display, and its performance is great aswell for anything you'd wanna do.
Bought this tablet almost 3 months ago, and i'm very satisifed of how i use it, Although Roblox is a bit hard to play with, It's very enjoyable to use!
@@AndroidDigestI got the A9+ from T mobile last month, and this tablet is pretty good. It has 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. It runs games pretty good and run 3DS games on this tablet. It runs well for 3DS games. Even it runs well on PSP and PS2.
Well the Fe has a better screen, it has a better processor in it, and it comes with an s pen. You would get the Galaxy a9 plus to save money. But if they are within 50 or 100 bucks I think it's a pretty easy decision, for most people, to just get the fe. Normally the fe goes on sale though between $350 and $400. The A9+ goes on sale around $150 to $200. So you're talking like a $200 difference in the US. The FE is still a really big boost up and worth it for some people for sure. It just depends on if they can afford the extra power
Which version are you using and how would you compare the performance of this compared to the iPad 10.2 2021 with regards to using memory sucking apps?
Lately I've been using the 8GB of RAM version. I'll say this: Apple had a significant performance gain in their lower end devices for years. So the A13 bionic even today crushes even the Galaxy Tab A9+ as far as speed. Of course they often limited themselves with less ram, and Samsung has 8GB of RAM in the higher end A9+. It doesn't mean you need to go with an iPad though. But purely from a performance perspective, it will be better on the iPad. The A9+ does very good though and it's MUCH better than previous years of Android tablets in the budget segment.
I got the 8 gb ram/128 storage, and I'm very satisficed. I use it for pdf read, and take notes with a third party keyboard, perhaps see some YT videos and social media, and it does well. The support it is great (one hour for update to the last version when I used for the first time, and the updates going on for the next 3 or 4 years). I'm very pleaced with this product.
got mine a while ago, 8gig 128gig model with 256gig sd card + 1 terabyte portable ssd + robot stylus + apple pen look alike. great for reading ebook, movie, youtube, ps1& ps2 simulation game, psp game, light drawing sesh, note taking, writing book, etc. been great so far. planning to get s9 plus aswell but havent find decent deal
It's night and day. ESPECIALLY if you get the version with 8gb of ram (the 128gb model). I talked about this some in the original review video I did. But yeah it's a pretty incredible difference. I'm pretty sure that A8 started with 32gb of storage and 3gb of ram with a very very bad unisoc processor. It's SO much better
@@AndroidDigest many thanks for your response. I will then sell my A8 and buy the A9 🙂 hopefully the A9 will charge faster than the A8 which is so so slow when it comes to charging the battery.
Great video. My big question is- how good is the sound? Specifically for video chatting. We play games with our son via video chat (Skype) and need the microphones to pick up from a distance (across the dining room table end to end-lol) and to have a decent volume.
That's really hard to say. And very very subjective. I wouldn't expect a premium microphone in a budget tablet. If it picks up across the room also depends on how far and if there's other noise. I thin this tablet would do about as good as most other tabs at this price. But it's hard to answer to be honest
You can use a capacitive stylus, that works like your fingers. But no Bluetooth options. I guess it depends on expectations. I'd feel a little more comfortable with an s9 fe. But the a9+ is still good
I will say I give the Pixel tablet an edge over this! It is faster and it has a better screen. But it has no Samsung DeX. AND the price is a HUGE factor. The Pixel tablet could cost $200 to $400 more depending on where you find it. If you find these very close in price I'd go pixel tablet. Or S9 FE if you find that close in price (if you lean Samsung I'd get the FE) but if you are just wanting a cheaper companion, the A9+ is great and it can save you a lot of money if your expectations are in check
I greatly appreciated the detailed review where you compared the performance with other phones and tablets while also taking about the cons. *subscribed*
Thank you! I do that every review. I do less benchmarks and more practical comparisons. It's also important for me to talk about sales we should expect. I keep a close eye on the market. Most devices I review are "positive" but my main focus is about what price people should pay AND how it competes with other devices in the US. I try to be different like that. So thank you!
I do sometimes. But I also keep things practical. And I compare to a lot of devices. This is basically in the same ballpark as the S6 Lite 2024. Worse than the S9 FE. But much better then older devices like that A8
I'm 13 years old, do you think this would be a good tablet for me? I already have a Samsung A14 5G, Galaxy Watch 5, and Buds 3 Pro. I used to have a 7th generation Amazon Fire Tablet 7 and it lasted me for 6.5 years. I did hate how small it was though.
Is the keyboard cover available internationally? Pogo pins keyboard is the best compared to Bluetooth keyboards... At least we don't have to charge it separately and it could die on us any time 🙄😮💨
Yes Elder Scrolls Blades. Not sure what you're talking about as far as improving resolution. On UA-cam you can change the resolution of videos by clicking the settings button. But the tablet resolution is set by the tablet so not much you can change that
@AndroidDigest thank you. Yeah I wanted to improve resolution on the screen. I have a setting on my s20+ phone to do that and didn't know if I could on this
Ever since OneUi 6.1, my device has been a nightmare. Terrible performance and it never stays at 90hz. Samsung really messed my unit up since OneUi 5.1
Does it have otg charging? Usb mouse/keyboard and charge at the same time (OTG+Charge) S7 tablet did which had dex but my A7 doesnt and doesnt have dex so i wonder about the a9+
Can a Bluetooth keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse be connected at a time with a Samsung tablet A9 Plus? Have you played 2160p video on it, it is played or not?
Yes. With the bluetooth. With 2160 video, I can't remember. I don't care too much about that personally. If a screen is only 1080p, streaming 2160 video will still only show it at 1080p, just maybe a slightly upscaled version. But still, nice to know, sadly, I can't remember off hand.
Would this tablet be good for regular work like microsoft office, and some video usage? I don't game unless you count simple puzzle games gaming, so don't need that, but I do need it to open video files, not too big, around 600mb. Also, good, thorough video with simple explanation for those who have absolutely no idea about electronics.
Yes, as long as you are subscribed to microsoft office 365, which you need to download the android apps. Fine for video using or basic gaming. It could open easy video files too. I don't think you'll have problems with those things. The S9 FE is the model up from this if you get a little more money, but the A9+ is great.
Just got one from rogers up here in canada for 5 bucks an month for a year with a 5g sim card with unlimited data. Cant wait should get great for camping and on the go use, picked up a backlit keyboard case and 512 gig memory card for cheap
Can't do it with the A9+, S6 Lite, S9 FE or S9 FE Plus. The Lenovo Chromebook Duet I just reviewed can do it. Or the Galaxy Tab S8, S8 Plus, S8 Ultra, and all of the newer Samsung high end tablets.
I think so, if it ever slows down, just do a factory reset and start over. Backup stuff before you do, but yeah, tabs will slow down after a year or two, just don't be afraid to start over once.
I'm strongly considering this tablet to replace my aging 2016 tablet. The one I'm getting says it's the "2024" version. I would like to get a keyboard\cover case as you have in this video but I would like to get one that has the RGB backlit keys but everything I'm seeing on Amazon (and elsewhere) says they are for the "2023" version. Is there a physical difference between the 2023 & the 2024 version? Can I get the 2023 rgb keyboard\cover edition for the new 2024 edition?
The A9+ released in 2023. There is no extra 2024 version. As far as the keyboard, there is no official Samsung version that has any rgb lights. All of those are going to be from 3rd party companies. They won't connect to the bottom of the tablet with the pins, they will use bluetooth. And the quality of those will vary for sure. You could always get a good case and just buy a good separate bluetooth keyboard as well, but yeah, as long as it is for the A9+, you're good. There's only one Galaxy Tab A9+ tablet, and as far as what keyboards are better, there are so many options on Amazon, I just covered the main Samsung one. Good luck though!
I just used the themes that were built in, I just held my finger and changed the wallpaper, may even be the base one it came with, I don't even remember.
I'm not using the cellular version so wouldn't know for sure. It's so hit and miss with who uses cellular, nowadays you can just turn on a hotspot on your phone and get instant connection on your tablet, so I don't really cover the cellular part, even though there is a niche group that likes it. They sell it "wifi only" pretty much everywhere, and some people go to a carrier or Samsung to get a 5g version, but yeah, unfortunately I'm not the best with that part of it if I'm honest.
Does it support calls and text on other devices? Im buying the 5G version and idk what's the difference between wifi and 5G types... I have a galaxy watch 6 synced with calls and text on other devices enabled... If i buy the 5G version does that mean i can be able to have dual sim? Calls and text on other devices and sim card
If you have other Samsung devices, yes, it works. If you buy the 5G version, I'm not sure if the tablet has dual sim or not. And to be honest not sure how it will be affected with getting calls from both devices, sorry! Haven't ever tested that.
If you have a mobile phone contract, you should check out if they have a store, you can get tablets, watches, mobile phones and more far cheaper there. They are not sold as new, because they are not allowed, those devices are returned within 2 weeks after purchasing, so your provider has to take them back and resells them by quite a bit cheaper, got the tab a9+ for my mother, 4GB model 87€. Ofc, might not work if your country is not that good with return and resell policy.
In our country, you do get the tablet cheaper at a cell phone carrier, but they require you to pay for service, often for 2 years. So they may charge you $20 a month for the tablet and refund $15 a month on a monthly basis, but only if you pay for Internet service on that tablet for 2 years. The total costs end up costing more then the tablet. Still a good deal if someone really needs service on it. But a bad deal if someone doesn't care about Mobile service on a tablet
@@AndroidDigest I had the option to pay 39€ upfront and 2€ per month for 24 months, OR pay 87€ at once and be done with it, kinda meh that you don't have that option.
I love mine! It's been such a fun day to day simple task companion and it's just so smooth to use! I have a question though, are we able to download good lock for this? I've been playin around with it but have yet to find it so im assuming not, but still thought i'd ask someone who knows well enough... I have a Z flip and love using it on there! Thanks!
Good question! I'm assuming not, like you said. I haven't checked recently, but if you search the galaxy store and can't find it, don't think it's an option. But maybe someone else would have checked too. I just don't have it in front of me.
Oh boy, lol. That would be a task for sure. I review laptops on occasion but I just don't think I'll have time to get to those, especially with some newer tablets coming soon, so to be honest don't think I'll be covering those
@@AndroidDigest I have been asking many people online & offline, got no information, bro what do I do now? I can't decide to buy one because I don't know which one is going to be capable for after effects..
Hello, thanks for your detailed review. I just ordered mine from the samsung app with the keyboard cover as a freebie and I can't wait for it to arrive! I have a question though. Does the keyboard cover have a sleep/wake function when opening/closing the case?
I Need a drawing tablet but I am not some designer or anything I am a newbie in drawings and design. I’m thinking about buying A9+ for drawing and using daily at school but I’m not sure about performance. Is it still good?
That is a very tough question to answer. For one, consider that this won't have palm rejection or other stylus features you'll get from the s6 lite 2024 or the S9 FE. No s pen in the box. You'll have to buy a capacitive stylus. Beyond that, performance is great compared to the A8. Pronominal. But obviously people using flagship phones or even higher end tables, they will go down to this and say it's slow. It's slower then a cheap iPad, sure. But it's faster then most Android tablets around $200. If you want a little more speed and an s pen but still want to be on a budget the s9 fe is a good option. The s6 lite is basically the same speed but smaller and with an s pen
@@AndroidDigest Hi. I bought s9 for myself and honor pad x9 for my girlfriend. Until today she didn't like draw anything because she is bad at it. But after the tablet she wants to draw and honor pad doesn't have any pen or pen support. So I bought random weird one with circle in top. Do you have any suggestions for more pen-like?
A great help I only want it for youtube and google, goodreads reviews and receiving my electric bill etc. And listening to music with blutooth headphones.....I have a 2018 TAB A 10.1 at the moment
Just off hand something I'm not sure about to be honest, trying to respond but don't have time to research into it, hopefully someone else can comment though.
Is this a good tab for a college student? Because I don’t think it has palm rejection and I need a device that can take notes properly and is still affordable😭😭
You're going to want to go up to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE if you stick with Samsung. That will get you the palm rejection you want, or maybe the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. But I think the FE is the model you'd want. I'd rank them: FE Plus, FE (same devices mainly, just different sizes), Lenovo P12, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (very close between these two), then Galaxy Tab A9+. That would be my rankings, hope it helps
I commute and wanted to buy a tablet to use only at uni for Microsoft apps, the majority of my work i'd do on my laptop (My usual laptop is 15.6" and a little heavy for commuting at 1.8kg). Would anyone recommend this tablet for this purpose, and if not what tablet would you recommend under £250? The reviews i've seen are mixed and don't mention using the tablet for work, more for streaming and playing games
I've got the 8 GB RAM 128 GB version, does anyone else have touch screen sensitivity issues with a screen protector on? Sometimes I have to tap multiple times for a touch to be registered. I've also tried plugging in a headset since I've seen that mentioned and nothing really changed. Currently on UI version 6.1
Yes at times. Just have to press a bit firmer is what I realized. Had no issue without screen protector. Try toggling the touch sensitivity options under Display settings. It helped a little in some apps, worse in others, give it a try if it works for you
Take off the screen protector if you have one, outside of that, you can try a factory reset, but it may be a hardware issue. May have to get a warranty replacement through Samsung.

Is Roblox really hard to play with on this tab??
On what basis should I choose s9fe instead of a9+ ? Is that all about money ??? Thanks for answering .
@@AndroidDigestyup. It's basically laptop cost. Regular laptop is around 400 to 500. If you're going to spend that much might as well get a laptop.
@@AndroidDigest Thanks for that!
That’s a really good setup! Sounds like you’re getting a lot of use out of the tablet.
Recently bought this tab. Bit surprised that Amazon app is not supported and flipkart app screen refreshes with quite some delay.
Is this tab enough for video calls like google meet, zoom etc.?
I would say so. It's not as good of quality as the camera from the tab s9 or something but it's good
I just got it for 130 usd, it is just what i was looking for and a budget saver for a student
How does it compare to the Galaxy Tab A8 ? Does it worth changing ? Charging is very low on the A8
It's night and day.
Im only gonna use it for Uni, is it enough? And can i use a bluetooth pen on it?
You can use a capacitive stylus, that works like your fingers. But no Bluetooth options. I guess it depends on expectations. I'd feel a little more comfortable with an s9 fe. But the a9+ is still good
How did you get the icons in that pretty pink color?
I appreciate you doing this 😊 and definitely thinking of this 😊 for sure over the Pixel tablet.

Why not run simple benchmarks? So we can compare it to other devices around the same price?
I do sometimes. But I also keep things practical. And I compare to a lot of devices. This is basically in the same ballpark as the S6 Lite 2024. Worse than the S9 FE. But much better then older devices like that A8
Where u can buy the keyboard cover?
Link in the description of the video
Will it also fit the table S9? I have both tablets and it'll be awesome if I could just get one keyboard for both
I'm 13 years old, do you think this would be a good tablet for me? I already have a Samsung A14 5G, Galaxy Watch 5, and Buds 3 Pro. I used to have a 7th generation Amazon Fire Tablet 7 and it lasted me for 6.5 years. I did hate how small it was though.
Yea
Yeah this is a good option for you
Great tablet. My daughter uses it in drawing.
Is the keyboard cover available internationally? Pogo pins keyboard is the best compared to Bluetooth keyboards... At least we don't have to charge it separately and it could die on us any time 🙄😮💨
Is there a way to improve resolution?
Are those elder scrolls blades you're playing?
Yes Elder Scrolls Blades. Not sure what you're talking about as far as improving resolution. On UA-cam you can change the resolution of videos by clicking the settings button. But the tablet resolution is set by the tablet so not much you can change that
@AndroidDigest thank you. Yeah I wanted to improve resolution on the screen. I have a setting on my s20+ phone to do that and didn't know if I could on this
I really do agree with your analysis great review
Ever since OneUi 6.1, my device has been a nightmare. Terrible performance and it never stays at 90hz. Samsung really messed my unit up since OneUi 5.1
Thanks for sharing your experience. I've enjoyed it but I get updates can mess with things, I'm hoping it improves for you
I stayed at 6.0, but it keeps telling me to update...
I also faced the same issue of touch becoming irresponsive after one UI 6 update.
Same issue. Hope they release a fix soon.
My both phone and tablet refresh rates decreased. Same issue.
Bro how is it compared to honor pad x9?
Honor is slightly better hardware wise but just barely imo. I'd trust the Samsung more long term
Not a bad deal if you need that data!
which tablet is the best with the feature of connecting usb c to hdmi cable to tv?
Can't do it with the A9+, S6 Lite, S9 FE or S9 FE Plus. The Lenovo Chromebook Duet I just reviewed can do it. Or the Galaxy Tab S8, S8 Plus, S8 Ultra, and all of the newer Samsung high end tablets.
@@AndroidDigest
Awesome, thank you.
Hello may i please know what keyboard do this tablet use?
There's a Samsung slim keyboard cover, I reviewed it recently on my channel, a couple of months ago
Bought the a9+ to replace my tabs6lite, dont use dex much or the spen on the 6 so the 9+ is good for utube, Google photos, email, etc. Happy so for. 😊
Hope you enjoy it!
How’s the porn on that tablet? Prob pretty good huh? Enjoy brotha
Can you recommend a type c to hdmi adapter that is compatible with this?
No, it won't connect to a monitor from usb c to hdmi. The usb-c port won't work like that.
Or any way to cast it to the TV?
Will it last me more than 3 years? I bought one last week, the 128g version
I think so, if it ever slows down, just do a factory reset and start over. Backup stuff before you do, but yeah, tabs will slow down after a year or two, just don't be afraid to start over once.
what tabs are better? with the same price?
I think this is the best value for the money at it's price honestly
Hello, how do you apply the themes that I couldn't find?
I just used the themes that were built in, I just held my finger and changed the wallpaper, may even be the base one it came with, I don't even remember.
On the Samsung shop app with tablets cost the same at like $156
Yeah, the 128GB with 8 RAM for $154.99 on the Samsung Shop app was a great deal! Picked up the navy color and loving it so far!
Hey, @@JSK95 does your tablet in samsung a9+ version, cuz I have questions to ask
@JSK95 I'm on it right now it just got here. I got graphite black.
Yeah they had a great deal!
Excellent video
Costco will have this on sale 8/28/24 for $169 that will be a great deal
Yeah that's a great deal
I just bought this Tablet and I got the keyboard for free lol🎉🎉🎉 Dont know if it works from other shops but yeah
Where are you from and where did you buy it?
Glad you got a good deal!
How is the cellular part of this tablet?
@@AndroidDigest thanks for your input! I'll come back on here and comment if i end up finding it lol. Thanks again!
I love this one more than my old Huawei Tablet used on 2020.
Glad you like it! And thanks for subbing too!
Currently $131 on samsung store with educational discount for the 8gb 128gb
That is an absolutely insane deal
Could you compare the book 4 ultra vs book 4 edge vs book 4 pro 360 ?
Oh boy, lol. That would be a task for sure. I review laptops on occasion but I just don't think I'll have time to get to those, especially with some newer tablets coming soon, so to be honest don't think I'll be covering those
Can it run after effects without any issue?
That I'm not sure, but hope someone can test it for you
@@AndroidDigest I have been asking many people online & offline, got no information, bro what do I do now? I can't decide to buy one because I don't know which one is going to be capable for after effects..
How is this compared to the onn 11 pro ?
Definitely better
How is it compare to the S6
Definitely a downgrade all the way around. The S9 FE will even feel like a slight downgrade.
Hello, thanks for your detailed review. I just ordered mine from the samsung app with the keyboard cover as a freebie and I can't wait for it to arrive! I have a question though. Does the keyboard cover have a sleep/wake function when opening/closing the case?
Hope you enjoy it
I love mine too!! Nicely done.. 😊
Thanks so much
I Need a drawing tablet but I am not some designer or anything I am a newbie in drawings and design.
This is a MASSIVE upgrade from that. The 128gb 8gb of ram version is a bonus for you. Definitely not required. But man. This is a massive upgrade
Do it have controller support?
with bluetooth, yes.
Is there anyway to change option for dual bluetooth audio mode
Just off hand something I'm not sure about to be honest, trying to respond but don't have time to research into it, hopefully someone else can comment though.
the OnePlus Nord N30 5g has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695......... it is actually a good gaming soc.
Yeah. This does pretty good for the money
I got the s9 fe. Thank you for your help🤭
can i attach an ext monitor to the a9+? if so how? thx!
Unfortunately not
What happened to your fingers bro
Yeah they just bend that way naturally 🤣
does it support pen?
only capacitive styluses, that work like your finger basically, no s-pen or no pen with extra features, only a "capacitive" pen.
Is the SanDisk memory card model SDSQXAV-1T00-GN6XN compatible with the Samsung Tab A9+?
Any micro sd card will be compatible. Up to 1tb
@@AndroidDigest I am concerned whether it is microsd or microsdxc
I commute and wanted to buy a tablet to use only at uni for Microsoft apps, the majority of my work i'd do on my laptop (My usual laptop is 15.6" and a little heavy for commuting at 1.8kg). Would anyone recommend this tablet for this purpose, and if not what tablet would you recommend under £250? The reviews i've seen are mixed and don't mention using the tablet for work, more for streaming and playing games
It is worth it if you buy the 8gb RAM version with 128gb ROM. It is a good tablet for students, I also use it for college and have had no problems
I haven't had that, and I always use tempered glass, but look luck finding out more!
I say this on forum being a problem for some... Samsung had not answered about issue.
Yes at times. Just have to press a bit firmer is what I realized. Had no issue without screen protector. Try toggling the touch sensitivity options under Display settings. It helped a little in some apps, worse in others, give it a try if it works for you
Above 1080p video doesn't work. It stopped working and closed app
Mine was super pixelated at 1080, junk! Had to return and buy s9 fe
I've heard of a few with a bug like that
After update I have to some problem...some times touch not working..any solution?
Take off the screen protector if you have one, outside of that, you can try a factory reset, but it may be a hardware issue. May have to get a warranty replacement through Samsung.
So $36 would be a good deal then?
Great deal!
