“Of course, we certainly support the resolution (UN resolution on Gaza cease-fire), and we are certain that Israel will not abide by it, and this is what we expected from Israel, and this is what we pledged to Israel, not to abide by the covenants and not to abide by the laws and the crimes and genocide it committed during the previous months. It is a country that does not respect laws, humanity, organizations, or any rights. Of course, we support a cease-fire under the conditions requested by Hamas, with the complete withdrawal of the occupying Israeli army from Gaza, with reconstruction, with the lifting of the siege, with the introduction of aid, after that we will talk about exchange deals, etc.”

STORYLINE:
Jordanian security forces clashed with angry demonstrators who tried to reach the Israeli embassy in Amman on Monday evening and during the early hours of Tuesday.
According to eyewitnesses, violence was used to disperse the demonstrators and several protesters were arrested.
Several thousand demonstrators gathered in different areas around the embassy for the second day as part of an event launched by activists to besiege the Israeli embassy in support of the resistance in Gaza.
The demonstrators chanted anti-Israel and anti-US slogans and demanded that the Jordanian government annul the peace agreement with Israel and end all other agreements.
The demonstrators supported the United Nations Security Council's demand for a cease-fire in Gaza.
The 15-member council voted 14-0 earlier on Monday to approve the resolution, which also demanded the release of all hostages taken captive during Hamas’ Oct. 7 surprise attack in southern Israel.
The US angered Israel by abstaining from the vote. Israel responded by canceling a visit to Washington by a high-level delegation in the strongest public clash between the allies since the war began.
