  • UPDATE: I want to set the record straight on my most recent video about my experience with my AirBnb guest. I have been in touch with the families of both parties. I gave the mans belongings back to his family (they picked them up from my house) and we even shared a hug goodbye. I didnt make this video for shock value or fame (Ive gotten messages claiming this is the case). I made it to reach out to a community of supportive people that have helped me through difficult times in the past.
I encourage anyone going through a hard time mentally and emotionally to seek mental health guidance. Its something that Ive been adamant and passionate about on this channel for years.
In addition, all of the money made from this video will be donated to victims of gun violence. My heart goes out to BOTH families involved. You're in my thoughts and Im sending nothing but love to you. If you are a member of either of the families involved and wish to speak to me directly, my email is chelseafork@gmail.com and I would be happy to answer any further questions you have.

It's particularly tragic for the murder victim and both parties' families. Best Wishes for your healing and for all your future endeavors.

Look, all I've heard so far is that he's in his 50s, real estate developer, and drives a Cadillac. I'm the same generation. A guy in his 50s and suited up with a decent sounding job needing somewhere to stay is suspect. A guy in his 50s, again, who presents himself in a suit wanting to stay at an airnb instead of a hotel is suspect. A guy in his 50s driving a Cadillac is spot-on (he's the end of the big Cadillac generation) but, again, a Cadillac-er would not want to stay in an airnb...unless he's up to something. Now, I'll finish listening to her story.

Definitely when dealing with police you have to call until you get one of the good ones who will help. You might have to call 10 times or go in person but if you go to your local Justic center you will find someone who gives a crap. Don't just take "no". Ever. Make them do their job. There are amazing police, and I am so thankful for them, but for every incredible one it feels like there are 3 or 4 bad/lazy/uncaring/unscrupulous/immoral ones...... ugghhh

My long time neighbor 5 houses up was a murder suicide. Seemed nice. Kicked the door in and I heard the shots. Up til 2 a.m. making xmas sweets with ex hubby. He thought I imagined the blasts and told me to sleep. The snow turned brown I swear to god and told him to look. It's all brown. He said I'm overtired and to go to sleep. I was hysterical and finally went to sleep. I passed by her house to get a haircut and called in sick when I noticed something blood splattered hung across her front rail. Why'd they put that in plain site? The 2 year old woke my other neighbors in barefoot at the door sobbing. The baby lived without freezing from the door locked open BC mums body fell on him without smothering him. In front of my house; Her tracks still in the snow. Where do they go?

I also don’t know anything about guns so I would have called the police to deal with it. I’m sure her roommate/boyfriend didn’t just walk away, she’s probably just saying how he felt about the situation. And the officer could have been new and didn’t think they needed all the crap she had or he was an idiot. We weren’t there.
Not everyone handles situations the same.

Darlin, you need to move out ASAP before you do anything else. Bad vibes, especially if you don’t feel comfortable enough to share with your housemates. Rent a studio apartment until you can get financially stable.. You do not need a big house. Having the personal belongings of someone who was a murderer doesn’t feel right. Don’t mess with the phone or computer. I suggest you drop them off at the police station yourself. You have no idea what might be on these devices.

This just came up in my feed. To say this is shocking is an understatement. And it’s shocking on many levels. I have never heard of such an incompetent police department! THEY should have come picked up his stuff and if they couldn’t do that much, they should have called the family to come pick it up. You shouldn’t have been involved. And it’s also unclear how the cops found out he was in your AirBnB. He probably wasn’t even married.

Girl you don't ever know about people. Years ago when I was a bartender I had a friend who used to let a young man stay at her house. One night it was below zero and he was napping in her car with it running because her husband wouldn't let him stay anymore. He said the guy was too weird. This is too long of a story to explain how she knew him. I tell her go get him he's going to get carbon monoxide aphyixaited out there. So he is refusing to come in. He finally agrees. He walks in, sits at the bar, and will not make eye contact with anyone at all. He was greasy and dirty looking. So she introduced her friend Jeff to me. Yes, it was Jeffery flipping Dahmer!!!! He told me he lived in Milwaukee and came to Chicago to meet friends occasionally. Same glasses, I can even remember the dirty ring around his collar. Flash forward two months later he's on the national news. It makes me ill thinking how close I stood to that monster. If it wasn't for my best friend working with me that night no one would have believed me. Let this be a lesson to you about people. I thank God you are safe. Your story could have possibly ended quite differently.

Chelsea, the best suggestion left by one of the viewers is to take ALL of ‘Duncan’s’ things to the police station that the cop that came to your house works at. The cop right off the bat gave you incorrect info and had to come back and get some more of ‘Duncan’s’ things. I wouldn’t sell anything. I would take it all to the police. If any of the family members call asking where this or that is then you can say the police have everything. The last thing you need in your life right now is to have to tell the family member, ‘oh I sold that’! Honey, he paid you rent and left you a review. Let it go at that. You are a lovely young woman who has a caring heart. Nothing you did brought the ‘Duncan the murderer’ to your home. You rented to someone who you thought was an ok guy. That’s how he presented himself to you. You couldn’t have known the other sides of him. When you take his stuff to the police, air out the room and decide if you want to give the whole Airbnb another shot. If the room was at a separate location than where you live I would rent it out again. With you being right across the hall and have income from others than I wouldn’t do it. That’s just my opinion. What is your beautiful dogs name? I had dobermans for 25 years and I miss each one them so much. I have Jack Russell’s now and love them just as much. Please take care honey. You did the best you could, that is all anyone can ask for. Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year! Carleen

Girl! I own a airbnb that sits on my farm where I live. It's a great source of income but i'm a little nervous having strangers on my personal property. For the most part 99% of my guest are awesome but it only takes 1 bad experience to shake your sense of security. I had drug dealers book my place and for 24 hours cars where in and out and there was nothing I could prove and if I had the police raid the place I was afraid of retaliation. They destroyed my place and it ended up that it was booked under a false name and most likely a stolen credit card. I have been shaken up every sense. I have actually just signed a contract to sell my home of 27 years because I depend on the income from the airbnb and i just don't want to feel this way anymore. My heart feels you and I'm so sorry you're going through this. I think your instincts are right! Trust that! Wishing you the best.

My sweet husband would do it for me, but he always said, We're not here to meet new people. They're strangers. I don't want to make small talk. I want us to have our adventures and enjoy our time together. Fast forward 30 years to the VRBO and Air BnB age. I will NEVER book us a room in someone's home or with multiple rooms. I want a separate house, all I want to do is text. Pay for a service. Respect their property and leave. But Lord, there are people living lifestyles out there and don't give a single thought to respect or honor. I'm sorry your selling your home, but SHAKE THIS OFF and reclaim your sense of privacy and security.

If Air BNB knew this guy was dead and he was staying at your place, why wouldn't they contact the police and have the cops deal with his belongings themselves? Why would you actually do it? I just want you to know it really is more common than you think and it wasn’t your fault that this happened. I had a foster sister who aged out of the system and became an alcoholic. Despite that, she was sweet and nice all the time to me because I was so much younger than her. I grew up with this woman doting on me.
Her mother didn’t live too far away from her and they were very close. However, they were trouble when they were together because all they did was go out and drink.
Out of the blue one day we didn’t hear from either of them.... a few days later we see her on the news and the news anchor is talking about how she stabbed her mother 80 times.
I lived in a room next to this woman for the first 6 years of my life. She changed my diapers. She came to several of my birthday parties and holidays as a kid. I have pictures with her of me growing up and selfies of us together.
You just never know who can break on you.
I often think about what I could have said and done to prevent her from doing it but in the end all the decisions made were her own.
What this man did was not your fault. He made his own choices and hid his intentions well. He was very good at hiding it. I’m very sorry this scared you so much, though.
God bless and I pray everything goes well for you!💞💗✌️

I hope the breathing is excellent. The problem is you are a sweet soul so you may end up being more trusting and accepting to others than the average person which can get people like yourself in predicaments. Glad your working to having your own place the dwelling that you sleep in and stay in should be a safe place among other things and you should NOT be anywhere near a stranger while in this space. Having said this you could maybe require a background check of a person which they must pay for in order to be accepted to stay there though this may prevent many from even considering staying there. I think this is a unique and unusual situation and you will probably never have anything else like this happen to you the odds are with you UNLESS you engage in getting to close to strangers. I would consider seeking out church people they can be crazy too but on average are much less extreme than this crazy person.

I just googled this situation and it took me less than 4 seconds to get the real names... There's absolutely no reason for you to be using monikers . You gave the name of the town, it wasn't hard to look up murder suicide in that town and get their names. It also gave the address of the home it happened in... Which you said is right down the street from yours. You might want to change things up in this video a bit just to protect yourself in the future. Also, are you even allowed to sublet in your building? I personally don't care and think it was a great idea but definitely want to make sure you don't mess up your own lease 😉.
Also, the people telling you that you are now in the middle of a murder investigation and that you should never have touched his things blah blah blah... Settle down Sally's! This is obviously a murder suicide, it's an open and shut case, the investigation is more than likely 100% finished at this point. He killed her - end of story. By law you only have to hold his things 30 days and you can do whatever you want with them - if his family or the police don't clean out his room then everything in it is yours to keep or throw away or sell or whatever.

That’s insane and hope things have calmed down since. I had some girl at the grocery store start randomly talking to me asking weird things to initiate conversation. It caught me off guard. She also said it was her first time at this grocery store bc it wasn’t too close to where she lived. I couldn’t tell if maybe she was trying to market her and her boyfriend’s small business (she briefly mentioned it) or if she was looking for a friend. My husband was with me too and we were friendly and did exchange my number with her. I only put in my first name and last name initial into her phone as a cautionary thing. When she texted me later on, she asked if she could pls have my full last name to add to her contacts. That was a red enough flag for me and I never responded back.

Girl, you were lucky! My stylist felt bad for two people and asked them back to her home to stay for a few days (obviously not an Airbnb). Thanksgiving day (years ago) I’m watching the news and see her house on the news. Those two people left her house and then decided she might know too much about them. They went back and executed her in her home. It legit changed the way I trust people and the level of help I extend. My home is a safe haven and I am not down with having strangers here with me. If a vibe feels strange, it is. The fact you questioned why he was telling you so much means your gut knew something was off. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I haven't read through all the comments and I'm sure someone has already mentioned this. Testosterone injections are often needed by men and women to stabilize hormone levels. However when men, especially, takes large amounts of testosterone it can cause extreme personality changes and severe rage issues for the person taking it. I used to have a friend who tried testosterone replacement therapy because he felt like his workouts weren't as effective as they used to be and that he was more tired than he used to be. He had to stop taking it because he said it caused him to be extremely angry and aggressive and to feel completely different from his normal self. I have no idea if in this case that was an issue but the doctors definitely don't usually explain the risks involved in taking testosterone. Of course it's also sold on the black market for bodybuilders Etc so it's possible he didn't even have it prescribed. Who knows. No matter what that's a horrific situation for you to have been dealing with. And how sad for his family and of course for the girl he murdered. Even people who seem like the nicest people in the world can do horrific things. Very sad

Damn girl! I am sorry you have to deal with all this. The PD there seems like they are full of Barney Fife's from Mayberry, lol! Seriously though, that was a creepy situation to deal with. Don't let this affect you in a negative way! You have a lot to be grateful for and life is going to happen no matter what you do. The true mark of a man or woman is how we react to life's adversities. Push this aside and move on. Say a prayer for him, light a candle for him, make a donation in his name to some charity...do something to release your grief, anger, sadness and shock so you don't carry it around with you. This happens everyday in this world and no matter what we do or say, we can't change it. All we can do is accept the situation for what it is and move on. Bob Marley used to say, "stop thinking in a negative way and embrace the positive day." Your strong, so don't let this rattle you girl! Be well my nomad friend!

It will get forgotten about. And then the next generation will come up with something just as dangerous. And you will shake your heads.
