I just bought two Tatula CT's a 7.1:1 and 8.1:1 going to pair with the 7'1" MH fast action St. Croix Bass X and a 7'2" Heavy fast action Shimano SLX. Can't wait to see how the Tatulas perform.
Dude do we live in the same area? Lookin like Cook County forest preserves to me, maybe we'll run into each other one of these days if it is. Great review helped me make my decision.
@@suburbanangling Thanks for the answer bro. I was considering this and the Shimano slx xt but, I now have my mind made up on this one. Tight lines my friend!
If it's not super loud or like the sandy type of grindy it's usually normal . I have 3 reels smooth as butter that have a slight winding sound but it's just the gears turning
@@nicholasnguyen6001 7 ' 3" would be good for u since u bank fish but its long so if ur gonna be in close quarters situations it might be tougher . Also shorter rods are just more accurate and easier to pinpoint casts . Not to say you can't be accurate with 7 foot plus . Just that 7 foot is the sweet spot for distance+accuracy...for me anyways . 7'3" might be good for you . Just a heavier rod and too long for me personally unless I'm musky fishing . Then 7' 6"+ heavy action rods are the only option 😅
@@SLA2014 I've never used that reel but I have friends who own shimanos and I own a few curados . Daiwas breaking system is much more user friendly and very easy to use . Also lasts longer out the box without maintenance imo . I've never had to lube or even open my daiwa reels in 1-2 years of ownership .
@@suburbanangling cool. I have an slx xt that i have owned for about 4 months and i am pleased with it but i wanted second reel and wanted to try out a daiwa
Love all of your work - you really do a great job - keep it up!! Love your river fishing, small jaw vids!

Thanks for watching!
Great product vid. Want more of products you use.
I have a question for you. Did the 2019 tatula come out of the box with the play in the crank on the right side or did it happen over time?
Comes out like that . It never got looser than what it was tho

Nice vid man!
Thank you 💯💯
Just got mine today. I’m new to baitcasters and when I started spinning the handle it makes a very slight grinding noise. Is that normal?

Im going to get one soon on a st croix bass x
Hell yea!
What’s the rod specs and what gear ratio reel? I’ve been looking to get a new combo and i’m thinking the new tatula CT
7 : 3 : 1 ratio and I like a medium heavy 7 foot rod its just good for all around fishing from 1/4 oz lure to 1/2
I only bank fish, so i was thinking a MH/F too, but instead a 7’3 rod, for extra distance, but what’s the drawback of a longer rod?

@@SLA2014 that's not to say I don't like my shimanos . But daiwa is my current go to
