Thank you for this. I am currently probably about to sell my house and move back in with my parents. I should actually get around 30- 40k in profit on my house now. I’m 27 and so scared. But you are right. You must be willing to sacrifice everything. But opening a gym has been a dream since I was 14. I used to stay up at night drawing the layout, coming up with logos and designing them. So I needed to hear this before I make this stomach turning decision and I dread the hard times that will probably come, but it is necessary for that long term success I’m sure. Bless you and your gym 💪🏻

Mate. Your video hits home. I opened my own gym in Sep 2015 with no clients to speak off. Every day was a daily struggle to make something work, and to hold onto the idea that it will all work out. It's Mar 2019, and my little Olympic Weightlifting and Barbell Club has grown. We have amateur athletes who compete and medal locally. We have a decent pool of clients who constantly show up and strive to get stronger and better. And you're right, all the agony at the start is nothing but a footnote. So if you ever come by the sunny island of Singapore, my home country, do hit us up at The Forge. You'll have a place here to train.

I still remember finding this channel back in 2016 when I began my lifting/fitness journey. I was a scrawny 16 year old who had just joined the high school Weightlifting team. I took to the internet for tips and found Alan’s page. Thank you Alan, for giving a kid like me the tools and tips necessary for building what I am today. I can say with out a doubt that this channel by far has been the most inspirational and helpful out of nearly all channels related to fitness and lifting. Thanks again Alan, I’ll always train untamed.
