Could we please get a kit setup, and all in one video. For example: Most reliable build for a straight minded guy who drives his truck daily, and tows his 5th wheel for every now and then for camping. This is my pre planned, rough estimate. (Self done). Pull engine. Replace/install following parts. O-ring heads. Water pump upgrade. Cam. Intake manifold. Turbo. Banks intercooler kit. Aluminum radiator. Rear engine cover(cracked). Pushrods. Lifters. Bottom end resealing, and plastigauge measurements. Not included but depending on state. Tensioner assembly, pulleys, sensors, wiring and etc. And getting reliable tuner for slight and smart performance adder. Transmission solenoids and plugs. Deep pan conversion. All things that are smart to help transmission life and performance. I’m all over the area. But just a solid, knowledgeable and lovable build. To make the truck be the truck it should have been.
@@ficmrepair love to see a video of you doing the solenoids in the transmission, I talked about this with you on the phone and look to order them soon, Thanks
Thanks a lot, Ed!….My ‘06 6.0 needs head gaskets and now my head is hurting after watching this. 180,000 miles on it in stock form. What the heck else do I do while I’m at it?? I love this truck. It’s my daily driver and I refuse to buy a new (equivalent) truck at probably $70K-$90K with that lovely monthly payment! Very informative, though! I should upgrade this, and do this to compliment that, but then this is only $X dollars more…. UGH! LOL
We can help you navigate all of this. Nothing here is difficult, but it's absolutely a rabbit hole! Give us a call - 515-897-4459. The goal is never to sell you stuff, but to tell you stuff! :)
In some situations, that makes absolute sense for sure! In others, it makes sense to do all of this or just pick up a replacement motor. Yep, we carry those as well! ;)
Definitely appreciate all of these videos really gives you more insight on the 6.0 motors
Tourqe pro and a bafx adapter work great for monitoring. Cheap too.
Thanks for the video.I am assembling my engine with Johnson lifters.I didn’t realize they require a custom length push rod.
