Dear gawd. This roster is enormous. Balancing your frontline, your cav, your heroes and your _budget_ is gonna be hard. Still, I'm already thinking there's something to combining Slaanesh and Nurgle debuffs.
@@sev1120 for me personally I'd replace the chariots with with Blood/skullcrushers so I don't have to micro charge them all the time and they can stay and fight without dying in 3 seconds

43 Mins!! Wow what a treat, great video dude!! My only issue is the fact they have access to all 4 chaos faction units, does this take away from the 4 Single Chaos faction's fun factor? When you have this faction that can access the best of all 4?
Not really. Unique mechanics and stronger units through specialization over generalization makes them viable. Not to mention with the 20 unit per army cap, having more options is fun but also using all of a single god will be fun too and allow you to play with more units.
This is my first faction in Warhammer 3, Loving the army comps. I would also recommend trying out a Khorne frontline with pink horror range support, its a pretty good early-mid game army
If you wanted to build a Daemon army that played like the dwarves, castleing up and hitting the enemy from afar with a tanky front line, what would your army composition be?
@@gutskenpachi2358 Khorne would likely be better, since they have shielded and armored units, maybe even pair them up with a Nurgle Lord since the Nurgle Lore has regen capabilities to my knowledge which can only add to your Khorne Warrior's tankiness.
Generally the way I organize my armies is that Nurgle are my frontline support units because of their poison. So I tend to keep them cheap and effective. Khorne is the bulk of my army since I use them as damage dealers to really hurt the poisoned enemy. Slaanesh are my flankers as well as my response to enemy cavalry units. Tzeentch, I only use for spell casting and/or for their winds of magic buffs.
Do we have or can we have an immortal empires guide? Any time I think Im doing good a random faction 5 times the size of me declares war and "removes" my save file from existance
Everything looks fantastic for the most part. But I gotta say the Exalted Lord of Change feels rather undercooked? Even putting aside the fact that he seems to be a reworked Sarthoreal model made to look similar to the AoS one. It's really weird that all they gave it was a passive reduction in cooldowns. Looking at all the other stuff they gave the other Exalted Daemons, it really feels like they treated Tzeentch like an afterthought.
There may be a different view on what Tier means. I was confused as well. From my perspective playing the campaign there are 5 Tiers. Like the settlement levels. Greater Demons would be Tier 5 from that perspective.
It will be fair to put "Lords & Heros" as there own powerful single characters, the 3 tiers are only needed for the troops, cavaly & monster units. It will be even tougher to put Lords & Heros alone in 3 tiers against each other, so it isn't worth doing it
In my oversimplfiled opinion, you will have a very powerful single-monster army, although a very expensive one & took a very long times/effor to get (unless if you're good at the game, forcus & successful in your play-through at that point then that's no big deal) You have 4 Soul-ginder to build a good forces against what ever army you face so get used to all fours of them. Just beware of enemy army that has many armored-piercing & anti-large units.
Daemons look fantastic, however on Mortal side of units especially Tzeentch ones are very poor looking recoloured Chaos Warriors. Khorne Warriors and Slaanesh Marauders look fantastic!
The Exalted Lord of Change is also pretty dissapointing ngl. It's the existing model tweaked to have some of the AoS look to it, but it still reuses all the animations too. Really glad to see the Warhammer tradition of fucking Tzeentch over is alive and well.
I would not split that much in to different gods units early game. Its better to cherry pick like 2 factions push them early. For example push slanesh and tzeenth to get first horrors and first cav. Slanesh maruders are unbreakable and don't crumble. Behind that some horrors and cav core to flank enemies. Basicaly typical hammer and anvil early game army.
Sounds like hero units are weaker than there monster counterparts, this guide made my life easier. Just confused if I’m supposed to have 0/low power reserves in norscan territories always.
They are disabled in ranked, and tournament players already said that they are most likely banning them from tournaments as they have too many options and too many combinations, a lot of which Colonel didn't cover in this video, like different Locuses from Heralds/Heroes affecting different type of Daemons etc. They seem incredibly strong.
A massive nitpick of game 3 is the "tiers" thing CA implemented. A lot of "Tier 3" units are really made from buildings from Tier 4 or 5 settlements so that makes it really confusing. Couldn't CA have done Tier 1-5 to show on units rather than 1-3?
It is pretty odd that its basically anything that needs size 3 or above is a Tier 3 but it still does a good job giving you a rough idea what you can use at each stage of the game.
Maybe the Daemons faction would be less broad and confusing if it was only... you know... daemons. Why bring humans into it when daemon units can cover every role?
@@jtowensbyiii6018 Like what? I'm looking at the Daemons of Chaos armybook right now, and I see literally every unit in that roster here except for special characters.
