Hmm. I picked up 3 Chanel lipsticks in the past few months and I haven't had any staining from them thankfully. Maybe I have different formulas and shades than you do.
I looove Lisa’s pinks. She actually thinks about all the different *forms* of pink, not just neutral blush pink or bronzy pinks (I especially think other British brands are prone to release very warm pinks, which don’t suit me as well.) I would also like some more shade variations from Em Cosmetics. That blurry lip tint looks lovely but they don’t have any shades I can’t easily get from Korean brands for less.
I didn't think about getting one from a Korean brand. It's been a long time since I picked up a Korean lip product from a brand that isn't sold at Ulta. (Kaja) I stopped getting Korean lippies a while ago when they were more watery gel stains in pink, red and orange shades. I just haven't checked back since. Maybe it's time to try some newer formulations. I feel like Lisa makes the most interesting colors. They're not the same sorts of tones you find in other brands. The nuanced shades alone make it worth the $38. Add to that, the comfort of the lipsticks and the beauty of the formulations, I'm totally hooked. Thanks so much for watching today. Laura Metcier. Why wasn’t that better? Was it the color or is the formula different? Bite Beauty. I had to. So old. But it broke my heart. I loved the color and the formula. A Lipstick Queen In Medieval. That was a knife in my heart. It was old. She doesn’t make it any more. It was the perfect red. Absolute perfection. A red for daytime. An old Flower Beauty that I will likely replace. A deep smoky plum lipstick I got from Yesstyle. Cannot wear dark murky shades anymore I guess. That’s sad. An Essence gloss that was fine but boring. A vivid hot pink tinted lip balm from Benefit. Too difficult for me to wear. If I were 20 years younger maybe. Anyway, Happy New Year!
I seemed to have missed your comment a few days ago. I'm sorry. Thanks for watching. Declutters are always a knife to my heart, but especially lip product declutters. I've been buying so many beautiful lipsticks recently that I'll have a few lonely ones in my collection that will eventually end up in another declutter. The thought of that makes me sad. I never buy a lipstick with the intention of decluttering it. I still have my Medieval lipstick. I purchased one right before Ulta stopped selling it 3 years ago, and I'm glad I still have it. I think I'll keep it until I can find an adequate dupe. It was my most repurchased lipstick for over 15 years. I discovered that the original owner of Lipstick Queen (Poppy King) is making lipsticks again. She's starting with re-releases of her original formula in the 90s. I have one, and I'm waiting to get my hands on the others. She's got 3 for sale right now. Original Sin, Indolence, and Vanity. (maybe Vanity launches soon, I'm not seeing it for sale anywhere.)
MAC has some great colours for spring and summer, and Pidgeon Pink is one I still enjoy wearing. Velvet Pompadour is one I got at Christmas, and although it's great for spring and summer, it also worked at Christmas.
Yes, I'm loving Velvet Pompadour. I haven't picked up any new MAC lipsticks in years. Maybe it's time to see if any tempt me. There's a MAC display at my local Ulta.

It's normally chock full of lipsticks with the labels facing up. I keep drugstore on one side, and highend/luxury on the other. Makes my life easier. I do have a few tiered lipstick trays that have 30+ spots, but that's where I keep my Lisa Eldridge lippies or where I store what I'm reaching for during the month. I try and rotate through everything. It makes my collection seems like it's getting more use.
I have the same shade Dahlia from Hourglass and I have the same issue with it turning hot pink on me!! I don’t wear it due to that and it’s super frustrating. You’re not alone.
Glad to know I'm not the only one. I think there must be a pH adjusting ingredient. Why you'd put that in a nude lipstick, I'll never know. I like the shade straight from the bullet, but just don't reach for it because it makes me look like an 80s pink lipstick lover.

It wouldn't be a problem in a deeper shade, but I already have all the deep red and brick shades I need. Lip products will always be my favorite. It's my first makeup love. 🥰 I do like the Juvia's place lip formula, but I never reach for it. That shade is also a bit deeper than I'm comfortable wearing regularly. I'm trying to only keep what I know I'll wear. Lisa's formula are so good. I love that I have such a beautiful collection of them. I'm glad you like them as well.
Soooo sad you don't like Pat McGrath, she's my second favorite after Lisa Eldridge. 😮 I adore Milani. Also, was that square silver one Laura Mercier? Another favorite pink!

Sorry to hear that the Colorstay satin ink didn’t work out for you - I just barely discovered it myself and like the formula! I’m hoping to pick up a different shade of nude lipstick and pink lipstick in a brand I haven’t tried yet. I could easily go nuts shopping for lippies but I like having a smaller collection to rotate through. You’ve got a lovely variety of shades of lipstick, glad that many of them were kept! 👍🎉

I try to stay organized, but . . . It can get out of hand quickly. I don't know if everyone has the same problem with Dahlia. I had someone else mention they experienced that hot pink stain, but only one other person. 🤷♀️ Maybe you'll be fine. 🤞

I'll move things from drawer to drawer, or decide to combine my eyeshadows all in one place instead of having them split out by size and location. It's an opportunity to remember and rediscover what I have, and to try and find a better way to organize it.
Two of the four I purchased broke within the first month. At the $20 price point, I can't recommend that. I'm glad they work for you. I hope they continue to.
@@mistyaqua I'm glad they're still intact. Two of the four I purchased broke. In my entire collection of over 200 bullet lipsticks, I only had 1 broken lipstick before I got the Unlipsticks. I'm very careful with my lipsticks, and to have 2 of the same formula break seemed like a formulation flaw. 🤷♀️ I can't recommend them knowing they're likely to break.
On the Guerlain case... Did you try to take the bullet packaging from the metallic bottom? Cause you can change it 😅 I tried and it comes off so if I want I can put another Lipstick in... The case with the mirror its so handy for something out, cause who wants to carry a mirror on? 😂😂😂 Don't forget that as far as I know only in the US you can return makeup with the package open, in Europe you can't swatch even... If you touch it its your to keep 😅
I'm so glad that we have a generous return policy here in the States. It makes it so much easier. I'll take a look at swapping out the lipstick in the Guerlain case. I agree that the mirror is handy, but I just don't wear the shade I purchased. I've also had it for years.
@@thelipstickgal if you don't use it and it's old then you have all the excuses of replacing it and keep the case 😉 wish I was able to do the same with my PMG Lipstick cases when I'm done with them 😔 but they don't come out so when I finish a lippie I have to throw the case away too 😣 and they are so beautiful 😍
Oh and funny enough Sephora on this side of the pond (all over Europe) doesn't accept returns of used makeup 🤷🏼♀️ that return policy only exists in the US / CAN 😄

Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury, Dior, (Guerlain and Givenchy you can take the inside and replace it) and a few more I can't remember now😬 yes I'm the one that doesn't want to throw away beautiful luxury cases and check if I can replace the bullet for another so I don't have to bin the cases 🙈🤣🤣🤣
It's two shades from the Expressie line of nail polish from Essie. They dry in 60 seconds. I still use 2 coats and a quick dry top coat, but I love this formula. The shades are: Re-charge to take charge & Up up and away message.
Is the color Secret from Milani similar to CT Pillow Talk? I have pillow talk but don't want to purchase the Milani Secret if they are really close. They look close from your swatches but can't really tell since they were further apart on your arm. I don't want duplicate colors...lol.
They're pretty close. I don't think you'd need both of you already have Pillow Talk. I feel like Pillow Talk is s bit warmer, but only slightly. Just my two cents.

It's a really wearable pink without pulling too cool. I'm not a fan of bright Barbie pinks. That's what I'm always trying to avoid in a pink lipstick.
