I ❤lipstick and lip gloss. I love Revlon lipstick. The changed the formula a few years ago and it is nice. I can wear the matte colors now. I recently bought 2 new colors . Both are neutrals 763 Make Me Blush crème formula and 003 Pink Me Up in the matte formula. Lip Gloss in 225 Super Natural. The matte formula doesn’t dry my lips out. It is so creamy.💋💄❤️
I haven't tried a Revlon matte lipstick in a long. Maybe it's time to revisit Revlon? Thanks for the recommendation. I appreciate it. I'll take a look the next time I'm at the drugstore.

Watching all your lip videos and I love that you let you daughter wear red!! She sees you wearing and learnt from you I love it!! My mom used to wear burgundy lipstick daily and I now love wearing red and burgundy too.

I let my kids raid my lipstick collection because how else am I ever going to use them all? 🤣 They just have to return it when the day is over.
You crack me up Rebecca! As you were saying, "I'm not getting rid of this one" I laughed cause I'm the same way! I didn't know Lipstick Queen was no more. That's sad! I'm looking forward to watching your red declutter! ❤😘
My heart still longs for Lipstick Queen. I miss the Sinner and Saint lipsticks. The Velvet Rope and Silver Screen Lipsticks, and my favorite sheer red in Medieval. I also loved the shade "Hello Sailor" that was their first pH changing shade. It's blue in the tube, but comes off as a sheer berry shade on the lips. It's the only one of the pH shades that didn't make me look like a crazy person. I'll miss Medieval the most.
The red shades got decluttered on the same day as this video. I still have to edit it, and upload it. It'll probably be a while before it's up. It's very eye opening to me that I have a love affair with Red Lipstick. There were way more than I thought there would be.
I feel like I finally understand why people like Velvet Sorcery so much after seeing your swatch today. I have the Sorcery gloss but think I will try to get the lipstick when it comes back into stock. I like the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks most but have been surprised at how much I like all the Pat McGrath ones as well.
It's such a beautiful color. I have a UA-cam short where I swatch all the Lisa Eldridge nudes. It's a good reference if you want to see it close to ask the rest of her nude lipsticks.
I wish I had liked the PMcG mattes as much as you do. They are beautiful, but dry my lips out by the end of the day. 😥 I'm pretty picky about a matte formula. I might need to try them again, but they weren't my favorites right of the bat.
@@thelipstickgal Nothing else compares to the Lisa Eldridge ones and it is hard to think about investing in anything else when I could have one of her mattes instead. But apart from those, I think I like the Pat McGrath, Nars Powermatte and Saie matte lipsticks the most. And maybe also the MAC Powder Kiss Slim Sticks too.
@@lisapetrison-beautyreviews other than the PMcG, i haven't tried any of the ones you mentioned. I've been close with both the MAC and NARS but haven't actually purchased one yet. 🤷♀️

Happy Friday! Enjoy. It's been easier to navigate my lip collection with it whittled down. I only have one category left. (reds) I'm editing it now, but it won't be up until next week.

I have a very large lipstick collection as well. My reds have been growing and it’s time for me to put a stop on purchases because I am very happy with 99% of my lip products. I am starting to get that choice paralyses when I go to pick a lip color.
I love my Neutrogena in Almond nude, Glossier Fuzz, and ALLLLL my Lisa Eldridge. I know that when Lisa drops more lipsticks I will buy a few because that’s my achilles heel. I’m holding off on buying the Sorcery gloss for now. This was a nice video to sip my morning coffee to! ❤
Thank you so much for watching today. Lisa Eldridge is my favorite brand. There's very little that Lisa makes, that I don't love. Every time she has a lipstick drop, I pick up most of what she makes. I'm trying only to buy what I think I'll use.
I filmed my entire lip product declutter the day that I filmed this. I just have to edit it, but the reds surprised me. I didn't realize I had that many. 🫣
Lipstick is my favorite makeup item, and I will always have a huge collection. It's just part of my extreme love of makeup. 🤷♀️
My favorite tone of lipstick is nude. So this is so entertaining to watch. It reminds me I have to do a decluter to. I have some Mac lipsticks that are off. And the same formula you also tossed. I have the clinique nude pop also, it is also almost done. I have to empty it because it is to good. Before I got into lipstick that was my favorite and my only shade. I have recently got Le Mepris from LE. Last spring I thought it wasn't for me. I thought it would be to peachy and pale. But I had seen so much different skintones that were beautiful in it. And I have to say it suits me better than I thought. I will make a bold statement but I think I prefer it over kitten mischief...
That is Clinique pop shade is so good! I frequently forget how good it is until I discover it in my collection.
I love LE lipsticks. I'm still trying to convince myself that Le Mepris doesn't wash me out without adding a lip pencil or mixing it with another lipstick. 🤷♀️ I love it on so many other people, but I've been wearing brights for so many decades, I feel weird in a ultra nude shade.

I'm not sure what you're referencing. I do have a few shorts that feature LE lipstick swatches in color families. (pinks, nudes and reds)
My favorite nude lipstick of all time is MAC's Velvet Teddy. I have it in the original formula and my favorite, Powder Kiss. I keep trying, but have never found anything I like better. :)
Oddly enough, I've never tried it. I've heard people wax poetic about it, but I've never tried it. Maybe it's time to at least swatch the shade in store? My closest MAC store is 75 minutes away. Thanks for the recommendation.
@@thelipstickgal I never expected to like it! I was not such a big fan of nudes; I wore very bright or very deep shades until around 10 years or so ago. As I grew older, I just felt more drawn to a more neutral look for my lips. I was swatching away at a MAC store, and I purchased probably 10 shades ($15 each back then) and they were all quite similar, but there was just SOMETHING about Velvet Teddy. The very slight pink that picks up the brown. The actual texture on my lips which is somehow more matte, but not dry. My lips just look so good with this shade. We now have 3 generations of women in my family wearing it as their Holy Grail, and I am by far the fairest complected. It's amazing how different yet still beautiful it looks on my more medium toned auntie, and lovely too on her teenaged granddaughter whose skin tone is somewhere between us. Looking over all my lipsticks, I do have more nude shades than anything else, yet I know and enjoy all the subtle differences between them, and I love it. 😃
@@vickimanager I never used to wear nude shades until about 13 years ago. Up until that point, all the nudes that people would suggest for me (the people at the makeup counters at large department stores) were peachy nudes. I always looked like a corpse. I thought I didn't look good in nude shades, it was just that I didn't look good in peachy nude shades. What I really needed was a pink leaning nude. Once I discovered a pinky nude lipstick (that was the actual shade name by Lipstick Queen) I fell in love. Then I knew what I was looking for. Ever since then, I've been in love with a nude lipstick. I used to purchase a lot of MAC lispticks in the late 90s and early 00s, but I haven't been pulled in by anything from the brand in about a decade. Maybe it's time to try the holy grail products that everyone raves about from MAC.
I feel even more compelled to try out Velvet Teddy now that you've told me why you love it so much. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I'll try and remember to record one. Thanks so much for watching. I recorded the red declutter the same day as this one. Boy, I had no idea how many reds I had. It was eye opening. I need more reds like I need another hole in my head!

@@maiattia9290 i try and keep mine together based on brand. All the reds are mixed with other colors, but all same brands are together. My best advice is to keep the ones that make you happy, and you reach for the most.

I found the perfect beige!!! Rouge Dior Dansante oh my goodness it goes over my lip liners just so I can use them as colors -perfect it’s so soft and creamy I tried it so far with the Natasha liners it is luscious !!!! Kinda looked like the Lancome shade you had … I ordered St Germain 😱 I’m loving using these ULTA points lol
I have to say I have a pretty big lip collection and I’d say about 80 are pretty much the same or very close to the same shade! 😂 I definitely have a type.
Obviously I do as well. 🤣 Just wait for the reds. 🫣

Wish I had just 44 nude lipsticks 🙈 and 90% of the time I wear reds 😅 I definitely need to do a declutter (maybe this weekend if I'm brave enought 😬)
When I'm not wearing reds I'm with a PMG or a LE (cause they stay put almost all day) so probably don't need from any other brand 😁 (not even CT cause her Matte formula just varnishes from my lips in a couple of hours) 🤷🏼♀️
I regularly reapply. I know you're not able to at your job. I don't mind doing that, but i love a formula that will hold on all day without needing to be touched up and not dry my lips out. They're rare.
I declutter a least once every 18 months. I used to have a lot more, but I don't keep what I'm not using.
@@thelipstickgal and that's what I need to do... 😬 To stop hoardering makeup that I almost or never use 🙈 definitely my drawers would be almost empty 😅
But just lippies 😅 cause my powder makeup no one touches or people will die 😂😂😂 especially on my chest of drawers and my acrylic towers where I have my Eyeshadow collection 😍 There nothing will change 😉😁 🤣🤣🤣
Which one is better? LE kitten mischief or CT JK magic?? I love the colour and I would like to try a very hydrating formula. I do not mind if it does not last very long. Thank you!❤
I prefer the kitten mischief. It's a bit more hydrating, and sheerer. JK Magic has a beautiful texture to it, but has more coverage. It's also easier to get a hold of. Department stores and Sephora both carry it.
I like them both, but if I could only have one, it would be the Lisa Eldridge lipstick. 🤷♀️

Have you tried the Bobbi Brown Crushed lipstick? It is a sheer matte that you might like better than the Glossier. It might be slightly more pigmented than the Glossier.

I'm actually looking for the BB lipstick right now. Is it the Crushed Liquid Lipstick? Is it the Luxe Matte Lipstick? I'm trying to make sure I look for the one you're recommending.
@@thelipstickgal the crushed lip color-it’s a bullet lipstick. The liquid lipstick is more of a pigmented gloss.

@@thelipstickgal it’s called Crushed Lip Color. It’s in a black tube with a band that matches the color of the lipstick (not the traditional gold Bobbi Brown band). They carry a partial selection of shades at Sephora as well. Sezane Nude is a popular shade but my favorite pinky nude is Blondie Pink (not sold at Sephora).
What are your qualifications for a nude vs pink lipstick? Sometimes I have a hard time telling which is which. I guess some are pretty close.
Most nude lipsticks lean either peach or pink in undertone. Some are truly neutral, and will look more like a brown. (Varying degrees of pigment, and lightness or darkness)
Most of my "nudes" will be more pink in undertone because that's what looks best on me. I look dead in a peach leaning nude lipstick. 😫
On my fair skin, some of these pink leaning nudes will look straight up pink. If I were to swatch then next to a full on pink, you'd better see the difference. I hope that's a helpful explanation.
